What sells better on eBay?

Bundles of clothes or single/handful of items?

What size bundle? What do you like - mixture of garments or single-type bundles?

TIA

what is the difference between a handful and a bundle?

it would be far more helpful to start a debate on this utterly rivetting topic if you could bring yourself to be more specific.

Gah, SW.

I mean bundle in the 62 items sense of the word.

And handful in the "two pairs of trousers and two tops" sense.

Better?

For childrens stuff, I personally steer clear of the massive bundles, because they're too pricey when I maybe only like half of the items.

But I would buy little bundles of say 4 tops or 2 tops with 2 trousers.

I'll be looking for maternity stuff soon though and may just get a big bundle to get everything at once.

I'm more picky about the dc's clothes than mine

haven't got a clue, hunkermunker, but just wanted to say, what a charming first reply you had there .
"what is the difference between a handful and a bundle?" - is that a joke? just waiting for the punchline

well, I am looking at buying 'handfuls" of summer clothes for one of my Fragrant Boys and I am using brand names as the keyword if that's any use.

how is your delightful youngest son? Can it really be very nearly a year since I clasped him to my slightly tipsy bosom?

tissy · 24/09/2007 15:25

got out of bed the wrong side, sw?

depends what you have, hunker, I think. If you have designer stuff in vgc, you can probably make more money selling them individually, but make sure you take good pictures, and give a good description.

Run-of-the mill items sell better as a bundle, BUT postage can be a lot, even if you don't overcharge for it, so be prepared to start low, and not get much!

bobsmum · 24/09/2007 15:26

gap, next and boden will all sell.

suzywong · 24/09/2007 15:26

please someone explain me to FLIER
I don't much care for the cut of her jib

suzywong · 24/09/2007 15:27

IME bundles with about 15 items sell well esepcially if they have a couple of designer items in. So you could break down into smaller bundles. Take great photos of the stuff ironed and in suggested configurations. Placing them on a nicely stripped pine floor and make plain you live in a smoke free house (which I know you do Hunker).

Are you sure you won't need these clothes again though?

tissy · 24/09/2007 15:29
Hmm
suzywong · 24/09/2007 15:29

thank you LL, how's things in Pompey?

hunkermunker · 24/09/2007 15:30

Aw, come on guys, SW's my mate. Thanks for the defence, but honestly, I can take it And it isn't exactly a riveting topic, she has a good point!

Must be all of a year, SW - scary! He's 20mo now and I'll post a recent pic of them later, so you can press your tipsy norks up to the screen - that do you?

Thanks for tips too - I have a lot of Next stuff all vgc. I'm only going to sell wintery things now, because I don't think shorts and t-shirts in 0-3 will sell all that well in late September!

LOL Spidermama - no, not for a good while Think I'll try a big age gap next time - when DS2's about 3.5, I think

hunkermunker · 24/09/2007 15:33

Do people buy newborn babygros on eBay? Or is there something a bit "odd" about first newborn clothes being second-hand? Didn't occur to me to look on eBay for newborn clothes, I have to say. [precious]

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 24/09/2007 15:33

Don't worry, Tissy - I do appreciate it, honest

hunkermunker · 24/09/2007 15:34
