Not sure about condition of eBay item

I bid on and win a brand new pram. It's arrived today and has quite a few scratches on. The box it came in was fairly damaged but I'm not sure the marks and scratches were caused in transit.

What are my rights if I don't want to keep it? I got it cheaper than retail but not cheap enough to be happy about the scratches.

I hope so! I've not had anything on email to confirm that a refund is happening.

This is awful op, I hope you do get your refund asap now. I've had a few frustrating ebay transactions but they did all get sorted in the end, albeit slowly.

This is so awful. It's nearly a month since you first raised the dispute. I'm really shocked that eBay are dragging it out so long

Is your seller still trading TiredMummy does she happen to have any more "new" prams for sale after reading about how she came about this last pram I am of the opinion she is either totally clueless or a professional scammer.

Report
TiredMummy2015 · 03/11/2015 15:16

No she hasn't sold anything before or after. She isn't a business trader.

Anything new on the refund saga TiredMummy ?

Nope.... tomorrow is the 5th working day and the day it was supposedly "on hold" until so I expect to find out in the morning.

If it's on hold again I am going to scream.

I can't believe this has gone on for so long! I thought ebay were supposed to be very keen to support buyers. I agree with the pp who said that children's stuff can be a nightmare on ebay. I've bought hundreds of things over the years, and the only things I've had problems with have been childrens's. I sell some of my dds clothes on ebay and I am really careful, I press everything carefully so that I notice any tiny flaws, I package the things well, and then when I'm buying I get things with stains, or things in totally different fabrics...it drives me mad. I bought dd a cashmere dress this week. It isn't cashmere, and it has a stain on it. Seller not replying, sometimes it seems more hassle than its worth.

ebay is nearly always on the side of the buyer.

But every now and then they go rogue and don't follow their own rules.

And sometimes they don't want to make any decision at all when they fall for a sob story. Even ebay aren't immune to fear of a Daily Mail sad face article based on a made-up story.

You'll get there OP.

I reckon you should give them your own sob story, OP. You are 9 months pg - you SO don't need this. Hopefully things will be resolved soon.

I've had a few problems with less expensive items on ebay recently. Thought it was just because I was buying cheap stuff, but looks like that's not the reason.

Puts me off spending any money with them.

Fingers crossed! I hate ebay scammers. The one and only time I ever sent something without tracking - "it never arrived".

Yay!! So glad! What are your options with the Buggy now then? And is Crazy still getting in touch?

Fabulous Grin I would rush out and buy another buggy today so you are not tempted to use the ebay one. Give her a deadline to collect it by.
