I hope they drop the covid drop out as automatic thing for TdF 2023. This can't go on forever.

I don't know if you have to test or drop out any more, but I can't imagine it would be easy to ride a Grand Tour with covid. I spent a week on the sofa when I had it (mind you I can't ride a bike so....)

I failed to submit a team this time - too much stuff happening and I just missed the closing date. But I thought "ah well, at least I haven't jinxed anyone like usual". But no! My powers are such that even the people I had planned to have in my unsubmitted team are dropping like flies. 😭

Hello Evlis - we follow the grand tours on this board, and set up a Velogames mini tournament, where my team always does horribly. This time they all have Covid.
This thread has been quieter - the TdF one is usually the busy one. If you happen to have a Giro velogames team already you can join the Mumsnet league using the info in the first post.
But you can still join in the thread anyway.

Nooo! Can't believe Remco has had to drop out. I deliberately didnt pick him so as not to jinx him. It was going to be a really exciting match up with 3 or 4 possible winners.

yeah, seems I was wrong, Roglić also tested positive for covid but rode on (said GT on Watts Occurring podcast).

May just be the wimps who drop out due to +covid (we think Remco is a total princess, but then Ganna is not, so my theory is rubbish...)

Velogames now helpfully shows a little X by the name of the people in each team who have dropped out........ I'm down to 6 now ! Will need to have strong words with them all in the team briefing this morning..

There must be some poor sods on Velogames with zero riders left on their classic team. VeloGames isn't showing it yet, but Kaden Groves also gone home apparently, so I'm down to 3 (!)

I have discovered Stage Hunter League where you can swap out your gone-home riders.

Um, when are the highlights on DMAX? Have been watching in Welsh, which is nice for the scenery and the men in lycra, but less good for actually following what is going on. Also, am a couple of days behind, so avoiding the news.
