DH and DS just back from Paris. DS was right close to Froome for the proposal. He's not in shot on the Telegraph video but the happy couple and Froome are in their pics. They had an amazing time and are already talking about planning a trip for next year.
Next time I will be in the Peleton

prettybird we are definitely a household of 'how many bikes is the right number - n + 1", DS1 currently in the middle of building himself a third bike whilst working out where on his bedroom wall to mount the frame of his oldest one. If you want bring all your bikes over here though and he will repair, clean and re oil them all!

SDTG congratulations on your cure, sadly I think I'm badly infected and it's a lifetime thing. I don't think Pan trusts us at all, I think we should take prettybird up on the hat shopping idea but make it an extended toast to the happy couple instead, have our own Hoo-Ha!

fussychica how awesome for your DH and DS and welcome to the peloton! Next year, fingers crossed I will be at the tour too. Having spent years telling this lot that when DS1 finishes school we will head out majestically in a camper van and follow the tour I realised last week I have to make good on that promise, it's come around a lot quicker than I thought it would!

Oh no! I trust all the peloton implicitly.....

The Big Hoo-har is set for 28th July next year and it will be BIG and def a Hoo-har. If anyone can make it it would be fab. I will be in formal Scottish highland dress and Mrs Pan will be in a v stylish sari for she is Asian. It's a very mixed marriage by anyone's reckoning.😀

Have you seen This? Dan Martin broke two vertebrae on the tour and still rode on to 6th, his best result to date. That man is a legend!

Oooch!! saw this on twitter - yes it the way he was climbing off bikes and looking as if there was a real problem. Obv there was!

Yeah he looked far beyond his years transitioning from bike to standing!

Wow, Dan has always been one of my favourite riders but chapeau to him for doing so well with such an injury. I have arthritis in those areas and can tell you for sure that it can be insanely painful when they so choose (can't really drive or walk at the moment, or stand up without it being horrible and that's on morphine) so to fracture them and keep riding? I just can't imagine.

Peter Sagan's shaved head provided much excitement in this household. We are currently in a transition state from hating him to respecting and almost liking him so the hair has been a big topic in the last month. We are a bunch of saddos

Does anyone here follow other bicycle races? I'm loosely following the tour of Poland. They had an unusual, unwanted guest join the race...

I've been watching the Tour of Poland, but I hadn't seen that video. At first I couldn't decide if it was a large dog or a very small horse. It was clearly enjoying itself anyway

I'm just watching a bit of the Tour of Utah. It's the time trial, and they aren't allowed to use time trial bikes for some reason. I've never come across that rule before. It's not that interesting tbh, mainly because I've never heard of most of the riders.

I like the horse.

I don't really watch other races apart from Giro, Vuelta, Tour of Britain and Tour de Yorkshire (mostly from the side of the road).
I think my children would get completely fed up and leave home if they had to watch any more cycling than that.

Just need a quick boast announcement that I may never do Velogames again. As of today when Steve Cummings, my true cycling love, announced he had fractured two vertebra in the TdF that makes 6 of 9 in my team officially broken. Is that a record?

DS3's first bike race tomorrow, I'm emotional/scared! He thinks he's going to form a one man break away and fly across the finish line on his own. Bless, he's only small. And about to learn a life lesson.
