From King Lear:
And worse I may be yet: the worst is not
So long as we can say 'This is the worst.'

Quoted during labour - came out more like "as long as I'm still screaming my head off, I'm not dead yet!"

Jessicatmagnificat · 24/03/2007 10:06

How about: "All that glisters is not gold/Often have you heard this told"

eemie · 24/03/2007 10:25

Jess is that Polonius in Hamlet?

'Her voice was ever gentle sweet and low
An excellent thing in woman'

berolina · 24/03/2007 10:29

Eemie - Lear, on the dead Cordelia.

Blackduck · 24/03/2007 11:21

Jess - Merchant of Venice

Your horrid image does unfix my hair.

From bogs, fens, flats on you fall, and make you
by inch meal a disease!
