Where to buy bedlinen?

Bit random! I used to get my bed linen in Debenhams but since they closed the Irish site, they don't seem to be delivering from the UK here. Atnotts website is shit so I can't see what is cotton or not. Shaws selection isn't great. Dunnes stores is a bit uninspiring. I don't want to get screwed with UK import taxes so don't want to risk John Lewis, etc. Any suggestions for where to buy?

Came here to say Arnotts but I see you’ve discounted it. Harvey Norman or Marks and Spencer might be worth a look.

Pucarbuile · 28/12/2021 22:23

If I could get into town I'd try Arnotts so I can see what they are made of, but I'm just after getting a positive pcr so won't be out for a while and I want new sheets to be laid out in. Didn't think of Harvey Norman, and I bought some other stuff on M&S earlier without even looking! Thanks Smile

M&S, Next or IKEA?

chartreue · 28/12/2021 22:42

I buy John Lewis bedlinen from Arnotts, its on their website, great quality.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 28/12/2021 22:47

I bought some from Zara recently and it's reasonably good. I went for the higher thread count stuff.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 28/12/2021 22:50

I miss House of Fraser in Dundrum, I used to get their Hotel bedlinen when it was on sale.

Pucarbuile · 28/12/2021 22:53

Yes, I miss HoF too. Thanks for all the suggestions this is going to be an expensive quarantine Grin

I don't like Next stuff as it's not pure cotton, but if you're in South Dublin then Home Focus in Carrickmines have some reasonable bed linen. They're online too.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 28/12/2021 23:49

I'm in England but agree M&S, I got some comfortably cool bedding and it's really lovely
Think the rest of mine is mostly Joules and sometimes Next but I only like cotton

DramaAlpaca · 28/12/2021 23:51

I'm also in Ireland and got some nice bedlinen online from M&S recently.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 28/12/2021 23:55

Ooh can you get la redoute? They have some lovely stuff and decently priced as there is a sale on. I love that they do printed fitted sheets in super king which are always hard to find

yodaforpresident · 29/12/2021 00:12

Bedeckhome.com

They’re in Co Armagh and no duty on orders placed on the island of Ireland www.bedeckhome.com/delivery

The thought of a printed fitted sheet is making me twitchy 🤣 I love a colourful duvet, but I need to sleep on a plain white sheet!

Never heard of Bedeck before, and now I'm giving them money.

I had forgotten so many places to buy sheets (and discovered more). Thanks everyone.

ah, the quality of Bedeck is phenomenal

yodaforpresident · 29/12/2021 09:17

Yes, great quality.

LadyEloise1 · 29/12/2021 13:05

I think the Francis Brennan bed linen in Dunnes is lovely.

LadyEloise1 · 29/12/2021 13:09

Ikea 100% cotton is great too.
@BlackAmericanoNoSugar does Zara Home deliver to Ireland with no taxes or import duty ?
I so wish they'd open a shop here.
Preferably in one of the big shopping centres in Dublin.
I also wish Sephora would open in Dublin too.

Madwomanuptheroad29 · 29/12/2021 13:13

Ikea bedlinen is not bad and most of it is natural fibre.

Twatforaneighbour · 29/12/2021 13:19

Ive recently got two sets from Dusk and am really pleased with the quality, all cotton and good thread count. Love getting into bed, feel like Im sleeping in a cloud!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 29/12/2021 13:38

LadyEloise1 Zara is a Spanish company so all their stuff originates inside the EU. I can't remember whether my order came from Spain or Ireland but there was definitely no issues with duty or anything.

Suasthuasanuas · 29/12/2021 20:38

Foxford stuff is gorgeous and 100% Irish.

Blogdog · 29/12/2021 22:30

Also recommend Foxford, like @Suasthuasanuas - I got a beautiful set a few years ago in House of Fraser and the quality is excellent.

Suasthuasanuas · 29/12/2021 23:03

Oh and just spotted they have a sale on too!!
foxford.com/

phlaps · 29/12/2021 23:55

Have a look at Brandalley. Some huge discounts on really high quality bedlinen. Not sure if they deliver to ROI

Focalpoint · 30/12/2021 20:33

Bedeck.com

It comes from NI so there is no customs charges and always seems to have sales on.
