Finnish Baby sleep boxes

I am currently pregnant and am looking for a safe way for my newborn to sleep and have heard that the baby boxes that are very popular in Finland for reducing cot death have now become available on ebay and amazon. Has anyone tried one yet?

I am really paranoid about cot death as had a friend whose baby succumbed to this awful death and hear that these baby boxes have been proven to reduce the risk.

It would be really useful to know if anyone has heard of them and what they think about them as I need to think about buying a cot soon.

Only read p1, but the OP's posts sound suspiciously close to marketing.
Just looks like a cardboard box - dare I say it, also a bit too close to those eco-friendly cardboard coffins. I wouldn't buy one.

How an earth would a cardboard box be stronger than a Moses basket or crib? My 4 year old found a box from Amazon delivery today, sat in it like a train and half hour later it's destroyed. If a toddler fell on any box it would cave in and break, but a Moses basket bounce back up

It's a lot of money for a cardboard box tbh. If I wanted to use a box I would just use a free one and buy a mattress to fit it.
