£33.25 to take our toddler to Toddler Club at Everyman cinema! 😮

I know this isn’t AIBU, but surely I am not AIBU to be stunned at that price?!

Other cinema chains usually charge £3-7 for the toddler ticket and then any accompanying adults are free.

But at Everyman, it’s £15.25 for the toddler and first adult, then add £15.50 for a second adult(!!) plus a £2.50 booking fee!

It’s one of DS’s most beloved stories so I guess we will stretch to him going with just one of us, but it would have been amazing for both of us to see his reaction to it. Just seems like a crazy price 😔

He’s been to two toddler cinemas so far and really enjoyed them. He’s quite physically cautious so doesn’t really know what to do at soft play… he’s definitely not a climber! Grin

Take him to that then! Improve his skills instead of wasting £33 on a short film you can watch at home!

Sounds like he could do with more soft play time then to be honest, or maybe tumble tots classes, mine used to love that and it’s much calmer than soft play. Great that he enjoys the cinema but not worth £33 in my opinion, why pay extra for screen time at that age

Hanalam · 10/10/2026 22:58

I think it’s his temperament really, he’s not a fan of the playground etc… not all children are!

Anyway, we watched the programme on iPlayer this morning instead so I’ll find somewhere else to spend my £33 🤣

I don’t know, it’s a luxury cinema, it’s 15.50 and booking fee, so 19 quid for one parent and toddler to go see the movie. The issue is the op wants both parents to go, so of course it costs more, but normal adult price is 19 quid at Everyman, plus the 2.50 booking fee. It feels about right to me,

I completely agree with you. They are offering a luxe product at a luxe price, and cheaper options are available.

OP's post is a bit like complaining that she fancies a Prada coat, but they won't price match the Primark one she's seen.

I've not got an Everyman nearby, but they sound gorgeous!

Hanalam · 11/10/2026 18:48

I don’t really think that analogy works, because Prada isn’t marketed at toddlers, we’d be in there for less than an hour, and given the above, I doubt any of the parents will be availing themselves of the cocktails-at-your-seat experience! 😉 I’m not really sure the added value stuff works at Toddler Showings.

Everyman is a luxury cinema where you've got at least double the space of a regular movie seat.

Of course you just watch it online or go to a cheaper one.

That's like saying your child likes burgers so you have to go to the Ritz to eat one with him as a family.

Hanalam · 11/10/2026 18:52

And to add… even if there was a marginal added value, I still think £33.25 compared to £3-7 elsewhere is absolutely bonkers!

Then go elsewhere? Watch it on streaming? That's the luxury option. If you've been and feel it's poor value, or you just think it's out of your budget/a rip off so won't go anyway, it's simple to avoid it.

That’s totally fine, you don’t have to go there, don’t worry about it

cestlavielife · 11/10/2026 19:11

Of course toddler dioes not care. It s posh price for adullts who wamt the luxe experience.
Do you want everyman or cineworld? Up to you . No one is forcing you

Sorry but yes absolutely this. It would be great if life was just free all round but unfortunately it isn’t.

I don’t think OP suggested it should be free?!

thehonscupboard · 11/10/2026 19:50

The Everyman ticket price includes coffee and cake for the grown up. Paying to sit in peace and be waited on and relax in a very comfy chair for an hour while your child is entertained.

CurdinHenry · 11/10/2026 19:53

Who do you think should sub the cost of running the thing if not the attendees?

bababamama · 11/10/2026 20:00

vue has toddler screenings and charge from
£3.99 per ticket

Rubyreds45 · 11/10/2026 20:03

Have you been to the Everyman one before OP? For the price of your ticket for toddlerclub (and baby club) you get a double seat, a hot drink for the adult and your choice of cake/sweet treat- I actually think it’s a really good deal!

Wibblywobblymum · 11/10/2026 20:08

Fupoffyagrasshole · 10/10/2026 09:10

Why not just to with the toddler then - no need for 2 adults

I go regularly with my 5 year old cus I like the fancy cinema and it includes a hot drink, popcorn and slice of cake in that price

I think it’s fine

out local Vue and Cineworld do cheaper screening but are a bit grim in comparison

Ooh that is decent if all that’s included. I’ve been meaning to make a trip to our localish one so might do toddler club with the wee one as a taster to see if it’s worth the normal
prices

Tomasso · 14/10/2026 19:01

Just get it on dvd instead

No cinemas around here have free tickets for grown ups or that cheep tickets for todlers. It would be same £ here.

campingwoes · 14/10/2026 19:14

Yesterday I took my kids to see the tiger who came to tea/we're going on a bear hunt double bill at the Odeon - only £3 each, including my ticket! Absolute bargain and it was soooo good, highly recommend! Not seen it advertised much but it was great

On DVD? Why would she do that? Are things like this even released on DVD anymore?

ABZombie · 14/10/2026 19:23

So £33.25 for two adults and a toddler? Sounds fair enough. I'm sure other places are cheaper but they are also much less comfortable.

If you go to Everyman a lot then their membership deals can work out good value- 6 tickets a year plus a free one Monday- Thursday, so 12 a year, for £95. Still more than whatever fleapit charges £3 I guess!

What do you mean?

Madrid21 · 14/10/2026 20:10

If your DS likes the cinema and you have an odeon nearby its worth keeping an eye on the odeon kids showings, they're on every Sat and Sun morning and every day in the holidays, £1 per ticket, recently we've seen minions and monsters and the magic faraway away tree. We have an odeon luxe near us so the kids love it and it saves us a fortune!

Forton26 · 16/10/2026 08:12

I think you’ve been given a hard time here @Hanalam. Not sure why people are picking at your toddler for not being overly physical. Not all kids are. People love a good dig for no reason on this site you didn’t ask for it to be free. You were just surprised by the cost which is allowed 😂

Yeah it’s expensive in comparison to others, Everyman is generally more expensive and it’s priced and marketed for a certain type of customer that they want to attract i guess.
