Have an Octopus referral link if anyone would like one - been with them for years and have been happy with them. £100 in credit after today’s meter readings, pleased with that after winter.

I have a link as well! My DD tracker is brilliant, as this is the first energy company I have used where I can easily amend or check my credit/usage in real time ( I was with EoN previously). I also like the option to be paid for using less energy at peak times.https://share.octopus.energy/jade-ape-71

I have been so impressed with octopus. I joined their tracker tariff and their electricity has been 11p/kwh for most of the last week compared to 25p/kwh on the price cap. Gas has been between 3.8 p/kwh and 4.2p/kwh.

Also their customer service is great, you get through to someone immediately on the phone and they respond to emails very quickly.

Still very impressed with octopus and their tracker tariff. It is normally 25% cheaper than the variable and electricity was just 13p/kwh today.

Adding my link too, we've found Octopus great to use and really helpful with some questions we had about our solar panels - unlike our experience with British Gas!

I’ll join in! We are also on the Tracker tariff and finding it much cheaper than our previous supplier (OVO). Good rewards via Octoplus in the app too - 25% off mains at Harvester and some other places and a free weekly coffee at Greggs.

Another link if anyone needs one, used one of the ones above to rejoin octopus, much preferred them and found the app and billing much simpler than EDF who I have just moved from. Also their tariff has no penalty if you wish to move to a different one.

Little tip for those planning ahead - So I read on Money saving expert that energy is predicted to go up by 10%. So I called my provider Octopus this morning to see if I can fix. I have fixed by just a tiny increase in cost per unit and if the prices did go down then I can switch back so think it is a nobrainer. This is with Octopus who have been brilliant. Thought I would pass on the advice as you might want to call your provider and see if they offer a similar deal.

If you did want to switch to Octopus then you are welcome to use my referal code to get £50 off your first bill (and I get £50 too) I think other people have codes too but here is mine if it helps anyone;

Thanks @Madamlulu That'd really helpful Re the things on standby as we've been leaving our TVs on standby, but I'm going to start turning them off now.

Like others above, I'll leave my referral code here if anyone needs it. I have to say, Octopus have been very good to deal with so far

Yes me too. I was also a bit rubbish with leaving things on standby.

Also re the thermostat. I always used to have mine set to a whopping 21 degrees!!! I now have it at 18 for the last 2 years and we have all completely adjusted to it- it is absolutely fine and if I'm in a house in the winter that's 21 degrees then I feel too warm!

This has made a big difference to our energy saving.
