Did your supplier email you to let you know?

£9,000 pa or £750pm for electricity, without heating or water! Are you sure a local caravan site isn't tapping into your supply?

Unless you have a medical need, this is quite frankly ridiculous.
We just double checked. This is based on our latest estimate from British Gas, so would include their predicted for their increases.

On average our car costs around £20 a day to charge so that's over £7k on its own. But bearing in mind we don't have any fuel costs for that car.

But you're retired and your children are older and out. Where are you going every day? How can you be spending £600pm on running the car? More importantly, how are you ok with that?

Our children aren't 'out' - we are very much full on taxi service. We spend a good hour and a half each day total on the school run, then more for their activities, plus help for my mum a couple of times a week which is a similar round trip. And our own hobbies. Just family life stuff, but the miles add up!

I didn't realise how much fuel bills were until recently. I live in an over 55's council flat and our gas bill, £38 a month is included in our rent. Even if we have it on 24/7 it doesn't matter. How the hell do you keep yourselves warm. I sit around in a vest top and leggings, bare feet, and sleep in the nude.

We are warm as we don't sit around dressed for summer in winter! Even if my gas costs were fixed I'd only have it set to 16 in the day, 18 evening, and off overnight.

I don't like extreme temperature changes inside to outside, they make me feel unwell and it's also a hassle changing clothes. I wear a top, wool jumper, jeans and coat to leave the house in the winter, ideally I only want to have to remove my coat and shoes to come inside. I wear jogging bottoms/brushed cotton pyjama bottoms and t-shirt to bed.
