Ninja Airfryer or Ninja Foodi Oven

Hi All. As is a lot of people I'm looking to invest in an Airfryer and looking at the Ninja's but it's a bit of a minefield. We use our oven mostly for the following, fajitas, lasagne, croissants, roasts, frozen food, pasta bake, baking. I'm just wondering whether the foodi oven would be better than the dual airfyer?

Looking for any recommendations, good and bad 🙂

I got the 9 in one and have a cheap mini oven as my big oven broke.
The 9 in one is like 9 appliances all in one I never use the mini oven any more.
Ninja foodi I would say.

Thanks @Unforgettablefire I like the idea of the Airfryer but just looks like I won't fit much in there, hence why I'm wondering if the Ninja foodi oven might be better suited. Everyone is raving about the air fryers though so not sure if I'm overthinking it 😂

It depends on how many you're cooking for and how and what. The pot is quite big but there's no shelves to stack things so I got a couple of small wire tray things.
I'm on my own so it's easier but you do need accessories if you need to stack, I don't buy the expensive ninja accessories I just improvise 😀

Thanks @Unforgettablefire we are a family of 5 so would go for a big one. Looks they're going out of stock and only the big ones available now anyway!

Ninja Foodi! It does everything and I never use my oven anymore.

liveeverysecond · 30/08/2022 13:16

Thanks @OldTinHat is that the multi cooker one or the one that looks like an oven? There are so many choices, but I'm concerned that some wouldn't be suitable to cook lasagnes, cakes, ie food which can't be piled up?

Thanks @OldTinHat I've been looking at those but hard to suss out size (and I'm stuck at home with Covid 😢). I was tempted with the ones with two drawers to do different stuff, then saw the oven looking ones...

Can I place mark please? I’m thinking of getting something for DD in Uni, but I know nothing about these, or slow cookers.

liveeverysecond · 30/08/2022 14:01

Which one is that @RuthW please?

OldTinHat · 30/08/2022 14:01

That looks good!

I like to batch cook so for me the pressure cooker and slow cooker options work well. I still bake cakes in it, grill cheese on toast, cook chips, jacket potatoes, etc. It comes with various basket things so you can layer stuff up if you want.

But anyway, you won't look back! They're so fast and efficient.

OldTinHat · 30/08/2022 14:01

Btw, feel better soon!!

It's this one.
AG301UK
Ninja foodi health grill and air fryer with dehydrater

I did lots of research and this one was the best for us.

PriamFarrl · 30/08/2022 14:12

I’ve just taken delivery of my Airfryer Max today. The foodi was a little out of my price range for something I didn’t know I’d use, and I have limited work too space.

PriamFarrl · 30/08/2022 14:13

Oh and the delivery guy said that he’d been delivering them all day!

PriamFarrl · 30/08/2022 14:14

Also, don’t forget to go via Quidco as they give 7% cash back!

Nachtvlinder · 30/08/2022 19:56

@AdoraBell don't buy one for your uni child; their housemates will sabotage this and use it themselves, often leaving it unwashed afterwards. Not unless, they use/cook it in their own rooms which I'm sure breaches the H&S regs/tenancy agreement.

My daughter had major issues with hers and didn't go into shared accomm in Years 2 and 3 due to this.

AdoraBell · 30/08/2022 20:48

Thank you Natchvlinder

I am looking to buy a air fryer too. There is a load of information on YouTube. Cosori seem to do well and are cheaper but I'd never heard of the brand. They are for sale on amazon too.

dramalamma · 01/09/2022 21:05

We've got this one and love it! Think there are a few different kids if ninja foodie. Ninja Foodi MAX Health Grill and Air Fryer [AG551UK], 3.8 L, Grey/Silver https://amzn.eu/d/hBtD5nV

We managed with just this and a plug in hob for more than 6 months while we had building work done and to be honest we've carried on using it since because it's so good (and according to dh cheaper than turning on the oven). It works as oven, grill and air fryer (which is excellent) and is super quick as well. Thoroughly recommend it over a simple airfryer

DiDonk · 01/09/2022 21:18

I keep on seeing these threads and wanting to get one then when I look to see how much you can fit into them they seem very small.

We are five so can you cook for five, even just chips? Can you fit a decent sized chicken into one? Can you make a cake?

I looked at the Phillips XXL in a shop and it seemed teeny to me. But in real life is it different?

tinselvestsparklepants · 01/09/2022 21:22

Got a Salter £50 air fryer from Robert Dyas today. Cooke sausage and chips in it tonight. Just the two of us here and we bought it because we are about to be kitchen-less for three months because of renovations- I was very pleasantly surprised by it. Raw potato to chips in 20 mins in almost no oil.

poorpaws · 02/09/2022 07:54

I've read a lot of reviews that say ninja have a very very poor customer service. I've never bought a ninja item so I don't know but was astounded at how they treat their customers if the reviews are correct.

JadeSeahorse · 06/09/2022 15:46

Poorpaws sorry for the late response but only just seen your post.

Ninja is the same company as Shark and I have always found their customer service fantastic.

I have several Shark Vacuums and a Ninja 9 in 1 foodi. I have had two small issues with one of the vacuums during the 5 year guarantee which they sorted immediately.
With the Ninja Foodi, we actually had an accident with it when it was only 2 days old and badly scratched the interior pot. Rang Ninja as we were quite prepared to pay for a new inner pot. They replaced it free of charge within 5 days despite our being totally honest in saying it was our fault.

Can't praise them highly enough from personal experience.
