Lovely wedding prep news Love also have a tip run booked today too 🤗 thank God

Wolf bless you sweetheart, it's not fair for you . Can you get a little nap today sometime to catch up a bit 💐

SayakaMurata · 17/07/2020 08:17

Thank you Mrs, Wolf and Malteser.

Smile

And Malteser, yes, it is tricky, luckily I had a day and a half each week booked for the whole academic year so am still doing that, but that's it. Plus no news at all about anything for September.

I'm trying to keep smiling though!

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/07/2020 08:53

Fantastic news North. Fingers crossed it works for him. And you are welcome.

Unescorted · 17/07/2020 08:55

Hi Say … I started my post and then went off to put the washing out. Hit send when I got back in & missed you arriving.

Audible is available free through my library membership - it is a bit of a faff to sign in but once you are there it is done. They also do loads of eBooks, eLearning, Magazine & Newspaper reader all for free.

Wolf grrrrrrrrrr on your behalf. Have you pointed out to your boss that if you hadn't had savings that you would have been starving. How can they be so stupid not to do it as the very first thing on their to do list.

Mrs & Love I sent him to the tip.... got rid of old kitchen units and wonky Billy bookcases. We can now wheel the bins out without having to use NDN's path.

Mummy I hear you about wanting to cry - the emotional surge must be huge relief at not having to fight tempered with the responsibility. It is big.

Unescorted · 17/07/2020 08:56

North that is amazing news.

Wolfcub · 17/07/2020 09:07

He's done none of it Unescorted, I haven't even formally been offered the job despite technically being appointed at the end of June. I've pointed out it's putting me in financial difficulties. I've reminded him daily. He's done nothing

Unescorted · 17/07/2020 09:48

Has he given you a reason or is it just busy / idleness? Is it possible to get HR to give him a nudge?

SayakaMurata · 17/07/2020 09:50

Hi Unescorted, thank you for that, I've been downloading ebooks from my library but didn't know about audio books too, I will definitely investigate!

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/07/2020 10:07

Yeah great wedding news. Main bits done, just the frippery stuff that's also lovely flowers, cake etc.

Wolf that's shit on all counts. Mines gone through but not sure if it will make July or not.

Welcome saya

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/07/2020 10:09

That's inexcusable wolf really.

Lovemaltesers · 17/07/2020 10:57

Ah just lost my post.

Tip run done and sofas collected. I can see the floor in our spare room now 🤗

Could you complain or copy his boss in wolf? Lay it on about financial hardship!

Mil wants to do the flowers. Maid of honour needs to choose her dress which’ll decide the colour scheme (as I don’t mind). Need to find a photographer and someone to do a cake. Off to choose wedding rings this weekend.

Bornlazy · 17/07/2020 11:12

Hi everyone, just checking in.

This is a really tight month for me financially. It always is as I have six birthdays to pay for 😱 Normally I would have a holiday thrown into the mix too and I did put some money aside but I am trying not to dip into that too much as I am totally paranoid about DH's job. He has been furloughed and is now working part time but realistically his job will take a long time to recover as it is tourism dependent. He has also been getting a basic wage with no commission so our monthly income has dropped, which is doable for the moment but longterm would be a struggle.

Welcome say. I know what you mean about not missing things.

Love well done on sorting so much out in such a short time for your wedding.

Mummy you are doing the right thing for your (very cute) dcs Flowers

Mrs hope you enjoyed your catch up with your friend and put the world to right 😉 I did exactly the same with an old friend yesterday and it was lovely.

wolf that's so bad that you've not been paid! What are you supposed to live on if you've not got savings?

I was thinking of you yesterday as my ds (14) totally went off on one and was shouting at me in a really loud voice. I unfortunately lost my temper and started shouting back and he did back down but for a moment I thought he'd like to hit me. It was awful and really shook me up so I really feel for you Flowers

Lonely it must be very hard having to survive on 80% when you were struggling on 100%. Could you start making face coverings to supplement your income? Sorry if that sounds simplistic it's just I know you are a very talented crafter and there's obviously going to be a surge in demand for them soon.

xmummy2princesx · 17/07/2020 13:54

Lovemaltesers · 17/07/2020 14:00

Wedding receptions will be allowed from next month. Wahoo! We were going to go to PILs afterwards anyway, and plan to be outside as much as possible. Now we won’t be breaking the rules 😇

SnugglySnerd · 17/07/2020 14:46

Welcome Saya!

Just broke up for the summer holidays! Feel a bit flat to be honest. Would have been nice to have been in school today for all the usual end of year assembly, waving the kids off, pub with other staff etc. I'm sure I'll enjoy Monday morning not having to log in and teach/mark work etc.

Mrsmadevans · 17/07/2020 15:10

Born Thank you so much l had a lovely time Smile
l had a couple of birthdays this month too but l sent some bouquets of flowers from Morrisons for £15 which were absolutely beautiful. I don't like sending them in this weather but they are in boxes and delivered in pristine condition because they are in water. They have a fiver off them atm too Smile

SayakaMurata · 17/07/2020 17:21

Snuggly

It's been a very strange end to the year hasn't it. No sports day, production, leavers assembly, parties etc. I do feel sorry for the year 6s in particular.

Have a restful summer holiday, I have 1 week to go here, although that's actually only 1 day for me!

xmummy2princesx · 17/07/2020 22:36

love that’s gr8 news I bet ur so excited!

Bless you❤️ snuggly my little sister finished year 6 2day and I feel so sorry she didn’t get the assembly and disco etc that I got.

mrs glad 2 hear u and ur friend had a gud time! The flowers sound luvly might actually steal that idea for my sisters bday

I rearranged my living room 2day. I used 2 have 2 sofas but have got rid of 1 (will try and sell it and get sum money even £50 will help out) it made the room quite small. So have changed it and put kids toys up against the wall the sofa was and they have a large space 2 play now which is gr8 bcuz we only have the 1 room so is a sort of playroom 4 them. Have attatched oic. Excuse the awake 2 year old he is usually in bed by now but has a poorly tummy so has joined me downstairs

ememem84 · 18/07/2020 06:40

Morning all!

Our schools here will be back fully in September apparently. Although anyone with cold symptoms must stay off for 7 days I think. So that’s going to be fun in autumn!! (Not for me as kids aren’t in school but....)

My works the same - cold symptoms? Stay and work from home for 7 days.

Planned spends today £35 riding and then probably around £20 on pastries fruit for brunch tomorrow morning.

SayakaMurata · 18/07/2020 07:16

Good morning all!

Hopefully I won't spend anything today. I plan on going for a walk this morning and then DH and I are having a barbecue later, just the 2 of us! We had some minced beef in the freezer from our monthly Costco trip (which he's paying for at the moment, bless him) so I'm going to make some burgers.

Yesterday we harvested a massive amount of rhubarb from the garden. I cooked and froze lots of it, so we will have crumbles with it during the winter. It's a nice feeling stocking up.

How are you all doing today?
