Really struggling at the moment which I'm sure many of us are. With a newborn on the way I'm looking to make some extra pocket money! Any ideas?!

Thanks to whoever mentioned SurveySpin for quick surveys. I have made £10 in a couple of weeks. Payout is in dollars and is a minimum of $5 but the surveys are quite short and seem to screen me out less than other sites.
Here is my referral code if anyone wants to try it. You get $1 very quickly and I get 50 cents for a referral

Use my share code "EI1RDT" on Survey Spin and unlock a $1 survey just for signing up! surveyspin.page.link/HSHkYqaGaTSYBuGz6

Ecclescaker · 14/11/2022 19:20

I have been using Survey spin as well.It doesn't matter that the earnings are in dollars as PayPal just convert it to £ when you withdraw.

Froginit · 18/11/2022 19:45

I've just started with www.equiwatt.com/ which pays for saving electricity at peak times.

If you use my **referral code CXEV at sign-up you get 1000 points (£10) once you've got started and saved some electricity.

You download the Equiwatt app, link your fancy half-hourly smart meter if you have one, and/or a particular model of energy-monitoring smart plug, then turn off electrical items at peak times ("equivents"). It's a bit like the Octopus Savings sessions etc, but it doesn't matter who you have your electricity account with. Points can be exchanged for eGift cards (currently available ones include Asda, Amazon, John Lewis).

There is no pre-warning of "equivents", but there have been 3 in the last week so they seem more frequent than the National Grid ones. I've just had an e-mail saying that they are now starting National Grid sessions as well, when smart meter people (not me, sadly) will get extra payments if they opt in. Notice is given of these sessions. So it's great for anyone who is feeling left out because their supplier isn't offering the National Grid sessions.

They currently have an offer where you can buy the smart plug through them for £20, and effectively get it for free by being refunded (2000 points) once you've used it in 10 equivents. There seemed to be some hoops to jump in terms of entering codes etc and I'm not sure yet whether I'll actually get the 2000 point refund, but will update.

I started with my original smart plug in my freezer and earned 1p! But realised that my freezer is actually super-efficient and only running at 60W for 4 hours a day and in rest mode otherwise. So I moved the plug to my dehumidifier which is often running at tea-time, and got 34p worth of points for it. Every little helps!

**Transparency - I also get bonus points for sign-ups using my code

I had never heard of Survey spin - I'll take a look.
Swagbuck have a Swago board at the moment which is money for old rope really.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 06/12/2022 21:29

Another Swago board on Swagbucks and quite a few easy surveys on there this evening.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 08/12/2022 07:26

For anyone on youGov that gets additional money for using the banking/netflix etc. access they seem to have stopped notifying you when their access expires so do check as I just renewed mine and got another £55. I have now put a diary entry to check every 3 months so I don't miss out.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 09/12/2022 18:03

If anyone has joined Swagbucks - here's an upcoming team challange which is easy points AND great for learning extra ways to earn. www.swagbucks.com/team-challenge?cid=438&fbclid=IwAR1pS-qnfDVL2zCkUKtiSxlXcdc-HFD8bbrYAIcfrjoP4ZTHQ965fGTGnUE

icecoffeeisland · 10/12/2022 13:57

Can I ask the people here who have Netflix, how often do you get asked to upload your viewing history to YouGov? Is it just once a month or is it more frequent?

I thought as Netflix is only £4.99 a month it might be worth re-joining, as I'd get back 75p in YouGov credit and I can cash out my £50 a bit quicker. I'm on about £46 and I haven't been given a single survey this month.

Swagbucks collectors bill today worth 23SB + 5SB bonus
www.reddit.com/r/SwagBucks/comments/1004ljp/new_years_2023_collectors_bill_january_1st/
For those of you who already are on it or new joiners.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 01/01/2023 11:16

@icecoffeeisland I get asked weekly but i don't know if it varies.
The banking is the one I make most on as it's £40 every 6 weeks i.e their access is for 6 weeks and when I renew I get another £40. That is money for old rope.

I do online surveys, generally making around £4 daily.I spend around an hour a day doing them,my favourites are qmee, streetbees and superpay.me.

Thanks@Milkyworm! I am going to try and make £10 a week from surveys.I reckon that is doable and I am going to save the money up all year for next Christmas.New year, new blank page to see what I can get saved up😊

Milkyworm · 01/01/2023 11:59

Good luck @Geronimogerbil,for me,the key is to be consistent.I use my survey sites each day as a matter of habit,I probably spend around 30 mins a day minimum doing surveys, playing games etc,but it is no hardship.I transfer my earnings to my PayPal and just store it up/transfer to my bank account. For me,what keeps me motivated,is keeping my survey earnings separate from my day to day money,so you can see how small amounts can build up over time and can be useful.Good luck with your surveys this year.😀

I joined a few survey sites last year, and though I wasn't making loads of money,I was steadily earning £10-15 a week.I let things slide after November or so,but I am going to start again.

Metabigot · 04/01/2023 19:12

I buy cosmetics/ skin care products in sets split them up and sell them on ebay.

Now is ideal with all the sales but you have to front the stock costs and know the market and what brands sell. Charlotte Tilbury sells v easily, I buy a few of her mystery boxes to sell on for example.

I make a few bob each month plus my own supply of cosmetics from stuff that doesn't sell so easily/ I decide to keep for myself.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 09/01/2023 17:13

Swagbucks have a new Swago board which is great for earning a few easy points.
Anything you don't understand, just ask.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 15/01/2023 13:59

If anyone is on swagbucks, they have a new collectors bill set coming up:

www.swagbucks.com/blog

And also a team challange which is great for newbies as an easy way to earn and you learn lots from the more experienced team members.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 07/02/2023 12:38

If anyone is on Swagbucks, there is a new Swago board.
Pretty easy to complete.

Graphista · 09/02/2023 13:14

Placemarking I need this

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 09/02/2023 13:33

@Graphista I'm sure I recognise you from another thread - do have a go at the survey sites.
I like Swagbucks best:
www.swagbucks.com/profile/MooWinner
There's lots of ways to earn from doing surveys, playing games, doing online shopping through the site and even searching the internet.
If you earn £3 in the first 30days they give you a £3 bonus.
I also love YouGov:
account.yougov.com/gb-en/join?referral=5n4orle6y-iGn-xFyNEk-w
Very different site but lots of ways to earn as well as surveys, linking everything from Netflix to your bank accounts.
AMA as they say.

Graphista · 10/02/2023 12:25

@Was126orbustandmaybebust maybe £10 a day or weight loss thread? I'm on train just now as I was yesterday busy here, but my energy bill just shot up and I'm still skint after Xmas! Trying to get off ground doing freelance work but it's hard getting going on that it's not a quick result type thing and I need money now!

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 10/02/2023 16:30

Oh yes Graphista it will be the weght loss thread!

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 10/02/2023 16:32

For all the Swagbucks survey takers there is a new team challange:
www.swagbucks.com/team-challenge?cid=450
Great fun and you learn a lot from your team members and earn extra cash too.

Graphista · 10/02/2023 19:22

Annoying when you can't place someone isn't it? Grin

I'm just in from a busy day. Will look at ideas on thread properly when I'm all sorted.

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 11/02/2023 16:51

Ask anything you need to know.
I have been on both YouGov and Swagbucks for ages so know all the ins and outs!
