We've had an okay day, met my mum for lunch (she paid) took the puppy and he had tons of socialisation as everyone in the cafe wanted to say hello!

Think he's growing like mad at the moment as seems hungry more and is sleeping lots, he looks bigger than when we got him.

It's been a nsd.

I'm so tired though, I'm helping with training tomorrow - coffee will be needed!!

AdoraBell · 14/08/2019 19:06

£73.95 on a chest of drawers today
£97-ish on grocery delivery yesterday

ChristmasSeacow · 14/08/2019 19:26

£150ish on Tu sale, but won’t keep that all - I got 3x 2 sizes /styles of jeans to try for DS. DH pointed out this morning that his current ones are very snug indeed Blush. If the smaller ones for I’ll probably just stash the bigger ones but will return the less suitable style, iyswim.

Also £28 yesterday on yarn as I’ve almost run out of what I am currently using and don’t have any at home to carry on with my project.

Ooh, gotta get DD out of the bath, back later...

WreckTangled · 14/08/2019 20:54

Looks like I need to buy dd deodorant too. She told us tonight her armpits smell (she was not wrong!) she thought it was hilarious. Was thinking a simple roll on?

Happierwithouthim · 14/08/2019 20:57

Newest addition to the clan 💞
Going to collect her with dc on Sun morn
Delighted to find out she's not on any fancy food.

€114 Dunnes Stores lots of meat in this, only had one valid €10 off voucher though Sad have two now for next shop so that'll be €20 off €100.

Second viewing of our house room so I'm going to be busy cleaning tonight catch up later

She's gorgeous happier!

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/08/2019 21:10

Aaawwww sooooo gorgeous

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/08/2019 21:11

I got DD the sanex stick wreck.
Good luck happier

WreckTangled · 14/08/2019 21:14

That sounds perfect life. I think a stick would better but didn't want Mitchum (like I use) as don't think she needs anything that strong at the moment.

Wolfcub · 14/08/2019 21:15

She’s gorgeous Happier

Wreck definitely roll on although no Matt how strong a one I buy ds he still stinks Envy

ememem84 · 14/08/2019 21:38

@Happierwithouthim gorgeous dogface!!!

In bed. Dh has Dd in with him tonight. I asked him to take her despite the fact he's had sleepless nights too this week thanks to ds and I know he’s been working etc. But I feel like crap. My throats sore and my ears feel all blocked and a bit fuzzy. I hope I’m not coming down with something.

Although dh will have support from mil if I have to take time out to rest. That is if she gets here. Protests in hk are apparently grounding al flights. She’s flying through hk to get here. We shall see what happens.

Girliefriendlikescake · 14/08/2019 21:45

Gorgeous happier 😊
*
Wreck* I remember the smelly pits appearing one summer with dd, think she was about 9 or 10. I think you're meant to get the roll on's without certain metals in (I've forgotten which ones!) I found however that dd didn't like those ones and they didn't work that well, she just has a regular one for sensitive skin now.

Puppy went crazy tearing about this evening and took a while to settle, I think he was over tired! Am enjoying the peace now as he is asleep and dd is in bed (probably not asleep but quiet at least 😉)

WreckTangled · 14/08/2019 21:48

Ok will see what I can find. We only have small versions of shops round here but I'm sure it'll take a while for her to find a favourite anyway. She said 'mummy I don't know why but my armpits smell like your insulin' HmmGrin

SnugglySnerd · 14/08/2019 22:23

She's gorgeous Happier!

£30 on a top-up shop and birthday gift today. Then got home to discover we only had one dishwasher tablet left so it looks like we'll be doing our third supermarket trip this week tomorrow. Dh always puts the dishwasher on after tea. Surely it wouldn't be that difficult to add tablets to the list on the fridge?? Sorry, I may have ranted about mentioned this before.

ememem84 · 15/08/2019 06:46

Morning all.

Just checked the news and it looks as though flights have resumed at hk airport. As much as mil and I clash sometimes I would have been sad if she hadn’t been able to come over. I’m a changed woman she was/is so excited to see ds again and to meet Dd. Dh is also looking forward to seeing her which is understandable. He hasn’t seen her in person for over a year now.

Dh is seems cannot cope with dd (flashbacks to this time last week...) he woke me up twice last night to help him settle her. I need to find out what he’s doing really because I don’t think he’s giving her enough time to settle before putting her back in her little bed.

Ds is awake and is singing to himself.

ememem84 · 15/08/2019 06:46

Hoping for nsd today.

Wolfcub · 15/08/2019 07:21

It won’t be a nsd here. Need some cards, packed lunch stuff for ds for next week, bread and alcohol

SnugglySnerd · 15/08/2019 10:34

£3.50 on dishwasher tablets. Terrible night's sleep. Dd1 woke me up at 3.30 and I couldn't get back to sleep. I was definitely still awake at 4.10 as I looked at the time. Must have dozed off only for ds to wake me up at 5. He and I must have both gone back to sleep because dh found me asleep on his floor at 6.30!
Have 2 loads of washing out but it's threatening to rain. The kids have discovered baby slugs in a plant pot and are watching them. I want to kill them as I hate slugs but can't bring myself to perform slugicide in front of them!

WreckTangled · 15/08/2019 10:45

Lsd here. Have come somewhere with free parking, free outdoor paddling pool and playpark. So just fuel. We have a picnic I'll probably buy then an ice cream have £5 in my purse.

SnugglySnerd · 15/08/2019 11:56

Did anyone watch SWFL last night? I wish I had 2 washing machines! Seriously though I would be very interested in marking the dishwasher powder that they did. Has anyone tried it? Apart from the cost I'd like 2cut out all the unnecessary plastic wrapping. Why do they all need to be individually wrapped??

WreckTangled · 15/08/2019 12:30

£7.20 on two ice creams and a tiny coffee Shock

prismWitch · 15/08/2019 12:35

You know how you slave in kitchen to make dinner and then you see your kid only few bits and leaving rest of it. Well my dear DD decided that little bit of strawberry yogurt will improve taste of potatoes and green peas Hmm. She ate it all after moving it to yogurt pot and mixing it together. Half of me is asking if it is a comment on my cooking skills, half of me is interested how did it taste :D.

Shopping done for a week £90 + £75 on clothes for me. I got a 25% off from simply be and free delivery and they had a sale. So I finally got plain t-shirts I was trying to get for past month and got myself 3 new cardigans as all of my current ones are 5+ years old and they really started to look their age. £40 less then basket price so I will count it as a win.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 15/08/2019 14:29

I hope you're feeling better prism and em, I've felt really coldy this week and have had horrible painful ears which I suspect DS has brought home from nursery. Thankfully DD has dodged it so far.

Gorgeous dog Happier! She has fabulous ears Grin

Spent £8 yesterday on a top-up shop in Aldi but the taxman paid back £366 to us so that was a nice surprise!

Nothing spent so far today as we're staying in. I've got through 2 loads of laundry with one on the line and another washing, cleaned the kitchen and living room, tidied bedrooms and had the health visitor round so it's not been a complete waste of a day. The whole house stinks of smoke though as the builders over the way are burning a huge amount of rubbish Angry

Wolfcub · 15/08/2019 15:31

£50 Sainsbury’s
£15 electric hot water bottle. Mine burst a few weeks ago (always fill it from the kettle) and because I can’t always feel my leg didn’t realise until I was already burnt as id been sitting in the puddle for a while

Feeling blessed I’m not in the capital today as someone stabbed in the office I was working at yesterday Sad

ememem84 · 15/08/2019 15:43

Still feel like shit. Have just been into town with dh though. Didn’t want to go but I needed to get out of the house.

Wish I hadn’t gone. Dh wandered round looking for a gilet (god knows why). He found 18. Bought none. He also saw some nice jumpers. Nice trousers. Etc etc. Bought nothing. Apparently today’s trip was a “in case He sees anything he might want for his birthday” trip. Ffs. I should have seen this coming this happens every year. I hate this trip. Because what happens is I either can’t get everything he picks out or get the wrong stuff or he then decided he doesn’t want it after all or buys it himself anyway.

I actually forgot it’s his birthday next week

So now, I’m going to have to go back into town to get him something. And I’m going to have to go alone. fat Chance of that.
