So exciting day here as put a deposit on this little chap!! He's only 4 weeks so not ready yet, if all goes to plan should get him just after we get back from our holiday about the 5th of August. Haven't told dd yet, want to try and keep it a surprise and tell her the first wend of the holidays...

Mum has kindly paid the deposit.

Warning Triggering

So h tried to top himself (very serious attempt requiring surgery to repair damage) and is in residential psychiatric care - how did I find out you may ask. Two missed calls from social services and I asked him why they might be calling. It all came out then. He’s been lying about where he is and what’s wrong with him. Even got the senior staff nurse to lie to me when she rang to say he was in with chest pains a few weeks ago and couldn’t see ds

Every time things start to luck up for us and start to get better he finds a way to fuck it up. I know I sound unsympathetic right now but my concerns are for ds’s welfare

I had a really good morning at work, we took some children to a local art session, it was really good.
In the afternoon I had to help restrain a child as they were very distressed. I remembered my training and did everything by the book, the parent was there too and I had their full support, but I hoped I would never have to use it.
I had to go and have a little bit of a cry after, I never expected that, I guess it was just all the emotions involved.

Thanks for the support guys. Will hopefully it manage to speak to social services today and see what the implications for contact are.

Lap great result on the home Ed inspection.

I made a huuuuuge vat of sauce and meatballs last night. Friends (moving house) are still coming round for dinner tomorrow, I just thought I’d get ahead and then I can do that before the governors’ Meeting. It’ll be a rush but doable. What’s a nice pudding after meatballs? I’ll probably bake something.

Big work deadline today and a lot to do. Pedal to the metal 💪🏻

Today’s jobs. Take a waddle to furniture shop near work and ask them re delivery of new headboard for our bed. They have ordered us a new one as the one they sent was damaged. On the back. Which goes against the wall. The delivery people noticed it. Left it anyway but honestly we wouldn’t have noticed it.

I’m leaving dh to deal with Fil and the dog. His family. His crazy. I’m trusting that he will have a word and deal as necessary. He knows my feelings. Knows I think Fil and gf don’t respect him/us. So will do what they want anyway. But also knows feet need to be put down.

Wolf so sorry to hear your update. You've had so much stress already. This is the last thing you (and DS) need!

I'm grabbing 5 minutes between packing. Heading to Dublin today because I'm staying with a relative before heading to Dublin Airport tomorrow. Still need to empty the fridge and leave the bins at the side entrance. A neighbour will leave them out for the binman on Friday. Is there anything else I'm forgetting?

Wolf what a shock to find out that way. Is DS aware of previous MH issues? How do you think he'll react? I'm so sorry you're still carrying this emotional load despite being separated. Take care of yourself first so you can be strong for DS Thanks

£1 spent today on tomatoes so we can have salad with some veggie burgers from the freezer. We only have a small freezer and it had become jam-packed so trying to eat all the odds and ends. Yesterday we had prawn fried rice to start followed by pea and mint risotto 😂
Tesco delivery due tomorrow but haven't even started thinking of a menu plan yet.

Hi chocolatefrog - also wondering how to afford the holidays! I started a savings account this time last year with the intention of putting money aside for extra treats and holiday spending money but keep taking money out of it for other reasons! It's got £200 which will probably just about cover ice-creams with 3 children 🙄🍦!

Oh that's horrendous news @Wolfcubisthefemalenominal, I can understand you are worried about DS, hope you can look after yourself in all this too.

Was woken early by DC this morning but I was in bed early too so it wasn't so bad, I really need to keep up the early nights, which requires discipline, any tips? I'm thinking of rewarding myself somehow Grin Blush
