Aww that’s so cute em 😂 Cagletini always hides, then often points at her butt and goes to get nappies when she has a poo, I don’t think she’s aware of weeing though. I have no intention of attempting training for a while 🙈

I have so many phonecalls to make today and I reeeeally CBA. I may need some kind of incentive.

Bornlazy · 09/08/2019 10:56

Miserable weather here today too. Not planning on going anywhere as working the weekend. Was hoping for a nsd but ordered a Tesco delivery for today instead of tomorrow and spent £90 😱 I mean how does that even happen when I was only at the shops two days ago? I have stocked up on some half price offers though so hopefully next weeks shop won’t be quite so bad.

Sea I hope you get some dry moments where you can get out for a bit. Does ds have a waterproof suit? Although that obviously won’t help the rest of you if you get soaked.

Lap that’s great that you got so much information and reassuring to have it confirmed that you are doing a brilliant job with the HE.

Madden I am the same I have loads of shit books on my kindle that just aren’t worth the effort. Think I’ll try one of the ones that Wolf suggested and one that Townie did. I love it when I find an author that I like that has written lots of books. I used to read all the time but find myself browsing the internet now rather than reading and want to knock that on the head.

em cute picture 😍 Now where’s more puppy ones Girlie?

Girliefriendlikescake · 09/08/2019 11:02

Haha born here you go!!

I definitely read less since getting an iPhone 😐

Aaaaah gorgeous doggo!!!!

lap I wasn’t intending to start potty training yet! Everyone told me worst idea ever to do it with a brand new baby.

Bornlazy · 09/08/2019 11:40

Aww Girlie he is so handsome with beautiful markings 💙 How does your cat get on with him?

LivingInLaputa · 09/08/2019 11:44

Oh that’s good then 😂 yes it would be madness unless they were 100% ready. Also I often hear it’s not good to try just before a new sibling arrives as they tend to regress due to the change when baby is born!

Having said that with both the other two I left it pretty late 🙈 they just didn’t seem to get it before when I tried. So although Cagletini does seem aware I’m not expecting miracles 😂

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 09/08/2019 12:13

Most of house cleaned (don’t look too closely). Washing done and hung up. Ironing done and put away. Tiny bit of gardening tieing up plants battered by the rain.
Next food shop (brexit again) started on ocado. Going to have a go through my run cupboard this aft and order by date a bit better.
H asked for some of his shit so I’ve been grovelling in the attic.

Read game instructions so I can play with ds when he gets back from town.
Braised steak and onions rescued from the freezer for tea.

Contemplating mcds for lunch depending on what ds has eaten while in town

Gorgeous puppy Girlie

Trying to decide if the benefits of the steam room on my pain levels are worth the energy needed to get there on the bus, get changed in and out of swimsuit etc. I’m not sure it is today 😣

On the plus side DS is enjoying Fresh Prince on Netflix.

LivingInLaputa · 09/08/2019 12:15

You know what my question will be Wolf... what game instructions did you read :o

There was an amazing game and comic store in Yeovil where we stayed, didn’t buy anything though

LivingInLaputa · 09/08/2019 12:19

BTW Cagletini’s favourite nappy change habit is running away (once she’s clean, thankfully 😅) and chasing DS around while she’s naked 🤦‍♀️ as she knows it makes him run off screaming 😂😂😂

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 09/08/2019 13:31

Laputa it was Mr Jack, pocket edition. We’ve so far played that three times, two rounds of battleship and we’re on our third game of rummy

We’re now playing Jaipur

Girliefriendlikescake · 09/08/2019 15:17

Born our cat is disgusted by him, just watches him with complete distain and struts off if he gets too close 🤣 she had a bit of a pop at him this morning as he tried to play with her tail. That was never going to end well was it!!

We've taken him out to our vets for a check over with the nurse, all good and we got flea and worm treatment, I also picked up more meds for the cat. Total spend £20.

We also took him into Poundland as I needed a few bits £9.

£3 in pets at home on puppy treats/food.

This month is a disaster money wise due to the puppy 🐶 lots of then are one off spends though.

Puppy managed to poo in his carrier on the way to the vets and wee all over dd on the way home 🤦‍♀️

Dd had a mini meltdown tiredness induced so is resting upstairs and the puppy has zonked out in his crate. I'm enjoying 5 mins peace with a cuppa.

Bornlazy · 09/08/2019 15:42

You never know she might get used to him and become friends, especially if he’s quite a quiet chap. He’ll soon learn she’s the boss 😉

WreckTangled · 09/08/2019 15:54

So annoyed. Amended my online shop yesterday and forgot to check out! It's not the end of the world but I'm now missing bits I need and have things I don't. Will end up costing about £10 to get the bits I need now Sad

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 09/08/2019 16:17

Weather is absolutely bonkers here. The only time I’ve seen rain like this is when I lived at the other side of the world

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 09/08/2019 17:03

It never materialised here. Rained in Whitby while we were crabbing this morning. Drove home into sun, threatening now but nothing really.
Stay safe further south

CamdenTownie · 09/08/2019 17:05

🎉Happy Friday everyone 🎉

Omg em you two are just the cutest, your boy is just adorable, fab photo 😊

Girlie - you are going to have so much fun with that little fella, try and get him used to being groomed by ds or yourself, it's a lovely way to relax, just a nice soft pet brush should do the trick - he looks so fluffy and I love his floppy ears

A good day here, boss took me to Itsu for lunch then sent me home early 😄

Spent £1.98 in Lidl on a mini baguette 🥖, 6 packs of mini cheddars and a box of Bahlsen style biscuits, which should last me for a few more lunches next week - I confess to eating three biscuits already though 😬

Also spent £16 odd in Superdrug on an impulse buy, which was a fertility test and a hair mask (random combo I know) last year we decided to try for a baby - I'm very nearly 40 and it's kind of last chance saloon, anyway it just hasn't happened, I can deal with it you know, I have four children already, but I walked past the aisle with all this kind of stuff and spotted a test that measures fsh levels, apparently low levels mean a good egg supply so a negative test is what you want! I kind of just wanted to know 🤦‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♀️

Plans for the weekend are shopping and cleaning/ housework, dog walking and sleeping, it's been a long week.

Weather here - just outside London, is a bit windy but dry, I hope everyone with the bad weather is ok, I've heard they've cancelled boardmasters in Cornwall due to the weather which will be a shame.

LivingInLaputa · 09/08/2019 17:36

Ooh don’t know Mr Jack but I love jaipur, I play the app a lot but haven’t got the real game yet.

I guess the change has contributed to the meltdown as well girlie however exciting the puppy is it’s still a huge change.

Been in tears of frustration this afternoon, in a nutshell, months ago I was referred to mental heath team but was discharged instantly because the assessment I needed wasn’t under their remit. Been bounced from pillar to post since then as the system is a mess, MH getting worse by the week. Found out today that actually the mental health team do have a consultant who could do what I needed. Devastated doesn’t cover it. I have been lower than ever the last few months and to think if that nurse hadn’t told me the wrong info I could now be on medication that actually works for me, I can’t even process it, all that wasted time.

ememem84 · 09/08/2019 18:01

lap that’s awful.

£5 coffees
£30 dds birth cert - she’s all registered now.
£44 lunch (dh paid). I had a “dirty cow” burger - brioche bun, subdried tom ketchup, burger, ketchup, deep fried mac n cheese patty, bacon, ketchup brioche bun. And a very fruity craft beer. Dh chose the beer for me. No idea what it was.

Bit annoyed this afternoon. Dd has a small skin tag on her ear. Doesn’t affect her hearing or anything but we’ve been referred to cosmetic surgeons so we can talk options.

Ddad said how lovely she was (again) but that it’s a shame about the skin tag. I’m annoyed he thinks it’s a shame. I had them when I was born and they were tied off. Apparently not a shame then...

WreckTangled · 09/08/2019 19:06

Lap that's shit AngrySad

Em I had a skin tag on my ear when I was born. It was more of a bobble the size of a small marble! Also had one on my cheek. Both removed. I don't have a really small ear canal and slight reduced hearing on that side.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/08/2019 19:06

Ah lap honey that's crap for you. Can you be re- referred? Worth a complaint of you feel up to it? Sorry your MH is still suffering. You are doing great though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/08/2019 19:08

Poor form of ddad to say that. Does he mean Shane she has them or shame she has to go through a procedure. From your post I'm thinking the former?

LivingInLaputa · 09/08/2019 19:25

Yep going to phone first thing Monday and ask to be rereferred. I am hoping they’ll send me straight in rather than having to do the whole assessment thing again, it was less than a year ago so they should still have it right?! And although things are worse, it’s not like the history has changed.

I am really shit at following complaints through - not assertive or confrontational at all and I normally just let things lie, but I REALLY need to do this one if it turns out the nurse was wrong.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/08/2019 19:31

Ok one step at a time lap. First see if they still have your notes and you can get back into the system first. Especially as things are worse now.
