Hope all goes well Em

ememem84 · 29/07/2019 07:03

Between 1-2cm. Grrr. C’mon baby!

We’re staying here in hospital for a while though as traffic I to town is rubbish at this time of day (until around 10 anyway). Hopefully things ramp up.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/07/2019 07:07

Good luck em. Get ye up and walking around. C will be ok, he will adjust.

Of to the big smoke for a week today. For as many vouchers as I can find. ££££££

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 29/07/2019 07:10

Life I’m there tomorrow and Wednesday (well slightly outside the centre).

Em hopefully you’ll progress quickly

That’s the plan. Walk about a bit.

I know c will be ok just can’t help feeling sad. And relieved that this is happening too!!

And I found out what a sweep is. So that’s good. Never knew what one was before having never had one.

WreckTangled · 29/07/2019 07:22

Exciting stuff em! I'm sure it'll go quickly once things ramp up a bit.

We're meeting a friend today. Think we will go for a picnic as it's such a nice day.

maddenlightfoot · 29/07/2019 07:36

Morning! Exciting news em!

I just had a chuckle at the almost-smuggled new potatoes as I thought at first you had randomly found them in your basket rather than having chosen them and then you ended up eating them for dinner - ultimate waste not want not!

We've been away for the weekend so have been fairly spendy. However I've realised we have quite a lump sum in our online childcare account so over the summer I'm giving us a couple of months off adding into it to free up some stress free holiday money.

I worked like a tornado on Friday to clean and tidy the house before going away so the plan today is to keep the children out of the house as long as possible 😂! We're going to a local attraction we have annual membership for and taking a picnic.

Girliefriendlikescake · 29/07/2019 08:09

So exciting em! Wishing you lots of luck for a straight forward birth. I can understand your mixed emotions, ds will be fine though and am sure will love having a baby sister to play with.

We're off on holiday today, I've taken £100 cash for spending money and am hoping not to spend more than that. The holiday itself is £160 which I'll pay when I'm down there.

Hoping the roads aren't going to be too awful!

Spent £2.50 Ystd on a cake for dd, she seems to be constantly hungry atm.

Also spent £44 in Aldi mostly on food to take with us.

WreckTangled · 29/07/2019 08:14

Girlie ds is always hungry too. It's frustrating that a six pack of crisps (which they aren't allowed) is cheaper than a six pack of apples.

ememem84 · 29/07/2019 08:24

Had a bit of a walk about. Had some toast. Dh went to move the car and got himself a bacon roll.

Contractions are up to every 2/3 mins. Woop.

There’s a lady in the bed opposite me who has from what I can gather just had her baby. I forgot how small babies sound so cute!! The one opposite sounds a bit like a guinneapig!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/07/2019 09:20

Oh em, how exciting! Hope you progress quickly.
And C will be fine.
Good luck x

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 29/07/2019 09:35

Taytocrisps · 29/07/2019 09:54

Oh em what exciting news! Hope everything goes well for you and you're enjoying those newborn cuddles soon. DS will love having a playmate once she gets past the baby stage.

Have a lovely holiday Girlie. What type of a holiday is it? Seaside place or a cottage in the country?

life are you on holidays too? Have a fab week.

Must jump in the shower and get ready for my day in Dublin.

LivingInLaputa · 29/07/2019 10:31

Eeek! Thinking of you em and can’t wait for the photos!

Thatsnotmyflamingo · 29/07/2019 10:57

Hope it's all going super smoothly @ememem84.
I used my PMT induced crankiness to blitz the house yesterday, don't quite know what to do with myself now having such a tidy house on a Monday morning Smile.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/07/2019 11:02

Yes we are away. Currently on the train with our pic nic

Bornlazy · 29/07/2019 11:41

Quick check in for baby news. DS will be fine em - he gets to be the big brother 👦👶

I have been following just not posting. Still trying to be frugal 😇. On holiday at the moment with my DM and DSs which is turning out to be reasonably cheap. We are in a villa so eating in quite a lot and relaxing by the pool for most of the time.

Maybe em’s baby will lure back the missing posters.

Lovemaltesers · 29/07/2019 12:16

Hope all is going well em. I keep checking for updates in between doing payroll at work

Frugal lunch of cereal as I coukdn’t Be bothered to make lunch this morning

SnugglySnerd · 29/07/2019 13:25

Hope all is going well, Em.

Just wondering what to do with the dcs this afternoon. We've been out all morning and just got home. I am finding the holidays hard going.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/07/2019 13:39

Me too Snuggly - I was lamenting to DH last night that we are not even a whole week into the school holidays 😫. DC are so bored at home but I can’t take them out on my own. It’s really tough.

Good luck Em, hope it’s quick and smooth!

Quilt is amazing North, I love the colours! Did you appliqué on the little squares in the middle?

Weekend was NOT frugal. I went to a textile fair and spent way too much Blush. I bought some yarn to add to my stash and some dyes and stamps to try Indian block printing onto fabric. I have high ambitions to make various Christmas presents, we shall see. I think it will be lovely and relaxing though.

Was in a different office this morning so spent £2.20 on a large tea from Costa... and then knocked it over onto the floor. It made a helluva mess.

I finish work on Wednesday, then 2 days with kids, trying to pack, and then we go on holiday on Saturday. I am usually more Prepared at this stage as I don’t get much done with both kids underfoot, so there’ll be some late nights this week but we’ll get there!

SnugglySnerd · 29/07/2019 14:22

Snap Seacow. It's so hard going anywhere with the twins at the moment. They go off in opposite directions. The park is tricky because dd1 is bored in the toddler bit but can't go in the big bit alone and I can't leave the twins on their own either.
Dd1 has a weird attitude at the moment too. She's normally full of interest for things but at the moment she doesn't want to know. I've tried hard to set up nice activities but she just sulks and won't do them. I think she's still exhausted from the end of term and could do with a few lazy days but the twins don't allow for lazy days. They are trying to kill each other if we stay in.
Added to this is that I am exhausted from my own end of term and all the ridiculous early starts and I just want some time to myself. We are not a happy house at the moment.
Sorry I am moaning. I should be having a lovely time with my children and enjoying them but it just seems like bloody hard work all the time. Plus we're spending money like water. Especially on food. I have not been frugal at all since the holidays started!

ememem84 · 29/07/2019 14:33

Florence Marie. Born 12.50pm. All good. Although o feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. But all good. She’s absolutely perfect. Will send a pic later

SnugglySnerd · 29/07/2019 14:41

Congratulations, Em! Your news has brightened my day. Enjoy newborn cuddles.
