Oh that is shit wolf so lazy. He’s his dad how can he not know what he would like! And to not even wrap or anything is crap 😡😡😡

mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/10/2018 13:28

Seems that way girlie I've already appointment made with solicitor for 31st. -€150 again this week which seems to be the pattern so must enquire via solicitor where this figure comes from. I could ask au pair to take care of them tonight so I can go out for dinner but I won't because I wouldn't do that to them.

Wolf I hope this friend comes through because I would've bought myself this morning otherwise. Sounds like a great birthday present.
Unfortunately we can't depend on them agreeing or cooperating with anything jointly decided. We always fed dc healthily but now they eat 3/4 times per week with h & majority is crap Sad

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 20/10/2018 13:54

Afternoon all.
Have caught up and hope all are doing ok.

Yesterday my work went to a mostly dessert place to celebrate us getting outstanding so spent £6.00 on coffee and ice cream. Then popped into Iceland and spent £5 on snack stuff for the DCs for the week as it is half term.

Went shopping early this morning:
Lidl £38.43
Wilko £3
Morrisons £23.62
A bit spendier than usual, but it did include some cleaning bits and a few baking essentials to do some cooking with the DCs. Will try to do some batch cooking too as I have the week off.
Hoping to go and visit my mum, waiting for her to get back to me.

Going to try a new beetroot recipe this week too.
Sunny but cold here.

AutumnLeaves12 · 20/10/2018 15:45

I just realised how to get a sensible username, so I have changed it again.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/10/2018 16:53

NSD.

Justanothermile · 20/10/2018 16:57

Afternoon.

wolf. 😡😡😡. Your poor DS. And then you have to deal with his emotion related to this.

I think we all use this thread for different reasons. And that’s totally cool. Some of us use it to vent about our partners and that’s no problem for me, I sympathise!! But I can see that might skew readers perception of the overall picture.

I don’t massively mention DH generally, but today he’s lost his keys, his phone, walked all over the downstairs in muddy boots, left his plates everywhere, his Chinese takeaway stuff in the living room. All this pissed me off. However, he brought me a cuppa in bed, walked the dogs this morning and will all weekend, swapped some washing over, and was raking leaves when I left, which I don’t do at all and is a bastard job at this time of year, we’ve tons of trees. He’s also staying home late Monday as I’m not back until then, so will sort all the stuff needed. So I don’t grumble because he’s a good egg, if not perfect. But if I mentioned the shit stuff you’d all wonder why I don’t kill him.😂

And I can be a PITA too I suspect, although you can all tell me that can’t possibly be true of course😂😂

I’ve actually lost track of what I’m even trying to actually say now.

£40 petrol, double nectar points and another voucher for double points on fuel.

Lovemaltesers · 20/10/2018 17:04

£76 M&S (after 20% off)
£22 Asda
£16 Next

Hopefully that is now the DDs sorted for footwear and clothes until Christmas.

I am currently in denial about my assignments that need writing by the end of half term BlushTomorrow, I will get onto them.

I have a 20% off code you can use online for M&S if anyone needs it? You can use it until Monday.

AutumnLeaves12 · 20/10/2018 17:42

I took ds for his Christmas shopping today. Weirdly relieved that I won't be trudging around in the Christmas week doing it.

jam I enjoyed your post. Smile

LonelyOversharer · 20/10/2018 18:05

So I've put on the bottom 1/3 of the bonding plaster 2nd coat, will do the middle 1/3 tonight, and the bit round the top tomorrow morning. A day to dry, and I'll skim the back end of monday.

Asda (to get all the forgotten stuff from the online order Hmm) £65. Obvs a few treats sneaked in. And £8 something in wickes on another bag of plaster. Got a sample of wallpaper I really like, will put a swatch up later, can easily pick 2 colours from it. I got the girls to agree to let me choose...

Homemade pizza in the oven for tea, and looking forward to strictly in a bit!

WreckTangled · 20/10/2018 18:17

I think it's worth spending an extra £10 on 'snacks' for half term to prevent panic spending!

£24 Sainsbury's but that includes £13 on a Lego thing for ds which will be for his birthday from dd.

£60 left for the week including dh's fuel. Easy. 😁

Also at 5pm we drove past two McDonald's, a kfc and Pizza Hut. I said no McDonald's I have some freezer food at home. So saved £17 at least.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/10/2018 18:35

Yeah good point jam my tolerance levels for men in general are very low 😂 #iwillbesingleforever

Work wasn't too bad, I had to have words with a colleague who had messed up, I hate stuff like that 😕 but think I'm getting better with confrontation as I get older.

Got a mate coming over tonight for a catch up.

WereWolfcub · 20/10/2018 18:39

I can recommend Waitrose essential wine glasses. I broke my last wine glass last week. Bought four Waitrose wine glasses for £6. They are fairly decent. Not elegant but perfectly serviceable

Girlie have a lovely evening

Jam I think that probably applies in real life too. I think most of us probably think our best mate’s husbands are knobs based on what they grumble to us about

Good start on the shopping Autumn

Wreck well done on driving past I’m looking forward to strictly too

WereWolfcub · 20/10/2018 18:40

Sorry strictly comment was for Lonely

NursieBernard · 20/10/2018 18:47

LSD - £2 on an ice cream for DS3. We visited friends in a lovely harbour town that is 30 minutes from us and walked along the marina and went to the breakwater in the glorious sunshine.

Planning on going to the beach tomorrow so that will only require parking money as I will pack a picnic and a flask.

Girlie I'm just the same about having to have 'words' with colleagues, its never easy.

Cagliostro · 20/10/2018 18:57

I am having the evening from hell but I just found out I have over a hundred quid payable on TCB. Not quite sure how the BT thing works as I thought we were getting one of those prepay MasterCard things which I still need to fill in a form for. So maybe they did the cash back thing instead. Either way. Yay money!

WreckTangled · 20/10/2018 18:58

That's great cag! Remember you get more if you take it as a voucher and are less likely to waste it on things that way

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 20/10/2018 19:00

Wreck, definitely worth spending a bit on snacks, when you consider that a single bag of crisps can cost anything from 60p up.
We do tend to go out quite a bit over the half terms so usually take a packed lunch or a few snacks depending on how long we will be out, plus we have our water bottles with us and I will just ask a cafe to fill them up for us, most are happy too and that is without us buying anything.

AutumnLeaves12 · 20/10/2018 19:02

I have a very high tolerance for men, so if I never seems to complain about them, then that might be partly what it is.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 20/10/2018 19:04

Yay cag, money! And also sorry your day has been a bit rubbish

Cagliostro · 20/10/2018 19:07

Yup will get in amazon vouchers or something. As we will likely get lots of Christmas presents on there, and if not there are lots of textbooks and house bits we need.

Cagliostro · 20/10/2018 19:09

And yes absolutely worth buying snacks in bulk, buying “on the go” is horribly expensive. I’d like to move over to entirely making our own (no I still haven’t baked anything) but baby steps...

Tonight I am having a curry all to myself (although I might give the baby some, we had one just before we moved and the little madam nicked my roti and some paneer!). That’s how I discovered the TCB money!

Cagliostro · 20/10/2018 19:11

Thanks curvy it turned into a sitting on the stairs just to get some peace type evening. Incredibly stimmy hyper kids and grumpy baby (who bit me again just after I told people she had stopped...) and quite likely PMT.

That said it did make me appreciate the fact that I can now get peace by sitting on the stairs. In our old house the stairs went straight into the living room, so stair-peace was not A Thing. :)

AutumnLeaves12 · 20/10/2018 19:14

That sounds like a good things cag. I did a lot of my University exam study on the stairs, and it was a very peaceful spot for it. Enjoy your stairs.

I just did my clarinet practise and it no longer sounds like a goose. I have no idea what that was. I've had a nice day actually.

Cagliostro · 20/10/2018 19:22

They are lovely stairs. For a start none of them are broken. I want to get some of those multi photo frame things and have them all the way along with lots of lovely photos to make me happy (even at times when the stars of those photos are actually driving me batshit)

Hurrah for non goosey clarinet.

Damn, I wish I’d realised about the cashback before I bought the baby’s shoes in Clark’s or a load of Caglets’ clothes in Primark 🤦‍♀️

AutumnLeaves12 · 20/10/2018 19:32

I'm thinking fond thoughts about your stairs too now. Smile They must be good stairs.

My ds has spontaneously learned to enjoy teddy bears at age 8. That's new.
