Today’s plans:

Work, lawyers at lunchtime, pizza for dinner then packing.

WreckTangled · 14/08/2018 07:14

Wolf it was being difficult for me too. Had to pay on card instead of PayPal and had to get it delivered to a different store because the one I wanted wasn't coming up! Anyway I had put aside £50 and spent £49 something. That's the DC's school uniform all sorted. Dd could do with a new swimming bag but I'll probably just get one on amazon or something.

BreatheSlower · 14/08/2018 07:39

Christmas and Cag I'm cheering to the rafters for you both here. Please boast away. :-)

Em Also cheering for you with your flitting. I hear how hard you are working and am crossing about 78 fingers that you get your new house. x

ememem84 · 14/08/2018 07:42

Dh is being slow. As per.

We need to get in early today. Or at least I do. He’s just gone in the shower.

I need to be in early as half day tomorrow at short notice and a ton of work to do and leaving on time today as gym session booked and paid for.

He’s either not bothered, thinks his time is worth more than mine or didn’t listen. Sigh.

Either way. Ds and I are ready.

WreckTangled · 14/08/2018 07:47

Em my dh thinks his time is more important than mine too. I don't think he realises he does but it's obvious from the way he acts

Justanothermile · 14/08/2018 07:54

My DH definitely fits that bill too, he'd argue to the rafters that this isn't true, but it fundamentally is and it can be very frustrating.

Will be a LSD, going to pick up some fruit and veg from a new local shop but that's it on the spends.

I'm going to list some extra equine stuff too.

mammy I've got about a million pairs of riding socks just about to go the charity. DD has tiny feet, she's a size 3/4. You're welcome to as many or few as you would wish.

Tagine for tea, lamb for the guys and veg/chick peas for us. Will last 2 nights.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/08/2018 08:17

Wreck mine did too and still does! His job is more important, the chores he does around the house are more important etc Angry

Grocery shop came last night €177 with using discount codes & vouchers, it's worth about €220 I'm guessing.
I ordered fairy non bio 38 capsules which were reduced to €7.64 from €15.29 using a €4 voucher so should have been €3.64 but they gave me two packs for €7.64 instead Grin in theory I should be able to use voucher again!

Jam I would love those socks dd is a size 2 so these would be brilliant. I'll pay for them, just let me know how much & how to get money to you Grin she only goes once a week so a million pairs mightn't be needed. 4/5 pairs? Cover camp weeks.

Em would you leave while he's in shower? Joking kind of Smile
Hope you get the house as you seem smitten with it

This evening I'm staying on after work to do budget for mediation, I've got about 1.25 hours, hoping that's long enough but I can stay on again tomo evening if necessary.

Emptied my bank account & borrowed €1.04 from joint account to make that cc payment. Have exact amount for phone bill direct debit left, will be paid again on thurs.

Last of dcs uniforms will be purchased Friday unfortunately these are crested & only available in one shop so no opportunity to save! Finishing early fri will collect ds from his horse riding camp & take him to buy his school bag, pencil case etc Grin

QuiteCleanBanditlovesdresses · 14/08/2018 08:48

Jeeepers thats expensive €15.29 for 38 capsules mammy
I buy a big box of 84 washes (bold or whatever they have) for 9.99 in Home bargains and eke it out .
Good score at €7.64
Im guessing that everything is generally more expensive ??
em I would be in the car and on my way by now Grin
My lot are terrible for being "on time" but they know I will go without them now !

Hope it works out for you regarding the house -v v stressful time Brew

Cagliostro · 14/08/2018 08:57

I totally understand seacow! It must mean untold given how much DS struggles. And I agree this place is Wonderful for boasting and ranting alike! :o

Still achy today although not as bad. I have to do the gymnastics run tomorrow (DH had to swap shifts) which takes it out of me a bit so I think I'd better spend one more day not overdoing it. Ibuprofen isn't kicking in yet either.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/08/2018 09:24

I've never paid it quite think 55 capsules are €13, so go figure!

I would happily use powder but apparently this one doesn't agree with H that one doesn't agree with H and I don't think it's the powder that's to blame at all, it's athlete's foot and wearing the same boots every single day to work Hmm anyhow I like fairy non bio and the nice smell on the clothes and will review it when we finally live separately, for now I buy while on offer.

My mother is looking after dc this week so I've spent a bit extra because I've bought the coffee she drinks, skimmed milk for her and extra bits and pieces. Saving €78 on childcare so it's not too bad. Normal weekly shop is €150(free delivery at that) and we're 3 adults, 2 dc, a cat and a dog. My cupboards are never empty though, and this is something that will change too when we live separately as I don't feel the need to have cupboards jam packed and when something runs out it's gone whereas H will just buy again at local shop, so I purchase more so that it'll be at the cheaper price and to avoid this happening iykwim?

This week was a massive shop though.

seacow and cag it's not surprising that ye are watching baby dd's more closely. Well done to seacowdd for stringing two words together Grin , think I congratulated cagletini already

ScandiLady · 14/08/2018 09:32

My dh used to be a faffer, then I drove off without him making the point. We discussed it and now no issue. We will ofc talk together if something happens and we will be late. So in general it goes fine. He's the I do lots on my spare day so you can relax in the weekend guy. Except for mocking out weed, he hates it so i do it. But i destress doing it, so its fine.
He just came to my job with leftover cake from he's work (He's a chef) think my job loves him now....
Nsd.

QuiteCleanBanditlovesdresses · 14/08/2018 09:46

Ah it sounds like the "Boden bargain" mammy
Inflate the price then convince you the lower price /sale/25% off that is permanently on is a bargain.
We are currently 2 adults ,4 young adults (dont ask) ,3 cats, 1 dog .
This week was £53 Lidl £20 Aldi plus I have meat/fish in the freezer.
Thats £40ish for the month so around £83 for the week. We dont eat much meat/home bake and no fussy eaters.

Justanothermile · 14/08/2018 09:52

No need to pay me mammy, they were going to go to charity anyway. I can post through work anyway. Just message your address to me and I'll sort it!

I spend a fair bit on shopping. We are 4 adults though. 2 dogs. 6 chickens. Smile
Two vegan included. No one is fussy and I cook from scratch, I use loads of beans and pulses and in season veg but. I think I could add in another cheap meal or two if required and reduce further. I'm mainly own brand, but the odd named brand that we particularly like (DH loves a posh jam) or that is on offer. Can't cope with cheap coffee or teabags hereSmile

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/08/2018 09:55

My DP faffs with DIY jobs. He takes forever to do them, and then when he finally does the job he wonders why he took so long to do it Hmm

DP came home and couldn't eat much dinner last night. Confessed to eating two of the bakery shortbreads. Then sick in the night and kept me awake. This tends to happen if he gets a bit stressed, and then poor food choices finishes him off. He's gone back to bed, I've given the DDs some non-messy craft and hoping I can snooze too. I'm trying really hard not to be grumpy with DP. He can't help the stress, but the crap food he can be more sensible with.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/08/2018 10:11

Possibly quite this worked out at €0.101 per capsule and I have paid €0.236 per tab before.

Big meat eaters here, although au pair is vegetarian. I expect bill will go down a lot when we live separately from H. Dc get served a lot of food that ddog ends up with on his watch, this won't be happening either and I portion out food and freeze extra portions, but H eats an extra portion if there's more there.

I'm also following RH fitness which is high protein diet.

Thatsnotmybookworm · 14/08/2018 10:15
