Sorry Seacow I hadn't read right through before my frivolous post earlier. So sorry to hear your news Flowers

Loveabaconsandwich · 30/03/2018 19:47

So so sorry seacow

Loveabaconsandwich · 30/03/2018 19:51

How much is on this secret cc wig? I bet your DH is in trouble

Spends today
£10.31 M&S on sale clothing
£40 Clark’s shoes for DD1
£30.10 sainsburys
£3.65 Clinton’s
£25 Waterstones
£15 McDonald’s

We had quite a wander around the shops to try and find BIL a birthday present and DP had no ideas. I then realised I was exhausted by the end of the trip.

I still need to buy Lamb for Sunday too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2018 19:53

I’m so sorry Seacow. Awful news to hear.

Wig You mean he has an extra cc to pay off?.

£2.25 eggs.

8FencingWire · 30/03/2018 20:07

So sorry seacow, I can’t help and smile at your dad’s attitude, what a character!

We braved Ikea, as a family, that went really well!!! The kids behaved, we had lunch there and I managed to remember my friend wanted something from there too, so I made her really happy.
£135 spent.
Plus another £50 on new trainers and swimming costume for DD.

ChristmasSeacow · 30/03/2018 20:25

Thanks everyone. He’s amazing, such a positive calm man and a bit of a joker. Always has been and it’s kind of a relief that he’s still ‘himself’. I asked him how Mum was and he said she was okay... flicking through cruise brochures for the autumn (she’s not!). Anyway, it wasn’t a surprise to any of us so we are just going to make the best of it. I’ll try not to cry on Sunday when they come over. I am okay generally but then something hits me...

Anyway, on with other things. Wig what was he spending the credit on? And did he confess or did you discover if?

Laska5772 · 30/03/2018 20:57

sea your Mum sounds amazing.. It is hard..I am going to see my Mum tomorrow..

wig .. not sure what to say.. has he form for hiding things?

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2018 21:15

8 is a returning regular.

I’m still worried about Need.

northender · 30/03/2018 21:16

wig that's hard to deal with.
Seacow so sorry to hear your dad's news. If no World Cup then I hope Argyle can continue to give him something to smile about this season. Excitement is building here!
I hope all of you going away in this country over Easter have a fab time which is not too badly affected by the weather.

Quick check in. Crazy week at work, enjoying some down time now. Not too spendy so far.

Laska5772 · 30/03/2018 21:29

Yup fluff ..I Pmd her a few days ago.. hope she is ok..

Wolfcub · 30/03/2018 22:24

Need if you are reading we are thinking of you

Cagliostro · 30/03/2018 22:28

Interesting sunny that you found the programme stressful with the sensory stuff, I still haven’t watched it (my mum suggested we watch it together but I’m not sure if I’d rather watch alone) but the two mum friends of mine who think they have ASD too (and I agree with them - definitely have a ‘radar’ type thing :o) both found the sandwich making bit really difficult to watch as it stressed them out so much.

From my POV, I have mentioned before it was absolutely worth it to get diagnosed and I do wish I could have known earlier. So in that sense I’d always recommend it. But everyone is different and the good thing about your DD’s age is that she is old enough to discuss the ins and outs of it. A few of our friends are leaving it up to their kids to decide and I think that’s great.

Cagliostro · 30/03/2018 22:38

I’m wondering if need is extra busy due to end of year stuff? Maybe it’s a crazy time for the business. I hope it’s something like that.

Spends £35 but used cash my grandma gave me ❤️. Needed a travel cot mattress and changing mat to keep here at mum’s. Also got a toy I’ve been pondering for a while, called it an easter pressie as she can’t have chocolate yet :o

But in reality I really didn’t need to buy it today, it was more of a stress relieving purchase, but I let myself as it is something I’ve been wanting to get for a while anyway (three sensory ball thingies with clicky spinny rattly bits etc). She loves them actually and enjoyed tummy time more with them to look at.

But it was a stress relieving purchase because I had left Rowan for the first time ever! Weather was awful but we still needed the other items so mum suggested I just go, I did say no at first, but I was there and back in 45min. Silly really as I’m away from her longer when I sleep late in the mornings :o but it felt huge. Dad came with me and suggested a cafe stop but not ready for that yet. It was different with DD1 who I did leave earlier but she was used to bottles so I knew she wouldn’t go hungry. Anyway mission accomplished. I think I was more worried than her, she was perfectly happy and gurgly the whole time, and in fact only got into a crying fit approximately 200 seconds after I got home. RUDE. Hmm :o

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 30/03/2018 23:03

Yeah it is odd that need hasn't popped in to check on us, she must know that we would worry!! Hopefully she is just super busy.

ChristmasSeacow · 30/03/2018 23:37

I’m worried about Need too. Most likely she is super busy but, like *Girlie, I think she’d know we would be concerned so it’s odd she hasn’t popped in at all Confused

I meant to say about toys before Cag - I hate the noisy battery types. I much prefer lovely interesting tactile wooden ones. Your rolling things sound lovely. DS had mostly simple non-battery toys but also a couple of annoying noisy toys which he played with a normal amount first time round. However, since we got them out of the loft for dd he’s become utterly obsessed with them especially the fecking phonics bus so they’ve got to go. Dd will have to have an Amish childhood Grin

ChristmasSeacow · 30/03/2018 23:41

Oh and North yes, I am really hoping for a good end of season for the Green Army. That will make dad so happy. Did you see the article about them in the Metro last week? Fame at last!

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 31/03/2018 04:29

Sorry to hear about your father, Christmas.

Checking in re spending. Extravagant day.
£30 Costco, milk, lactofree milk, bacon, eggs, wine, buffalo mozzarella.
£15 Tesco, more wine, crisps, for the weekend and packed lunches, the crisps that is, not the wine. £20 Dominos.
Went over to my sisters to help her build her new bed and to help her bath the dog she is minding. I took my huge ironing pile over and did it.
Very late home, with sister and dog in tow, for the weekend, so I decided not to cook the fish I had planned (it will freeze) and to order pizza. We were all tired and DP was famished. The dog is lovely. She was very good all day so DP gave her some leftover scraps of meat.
Tomorow is another day off. Weather permitting we will go for a walk at the open air museum and take flasks and buns. Then my sister is taking us out to dinner.
I need to save up for some hotel accommodation we will need in the summer and autumn, so I must be as frugal as possible now. Fridge and freezer quite full so will try for some non or low spending days. I have a cheque to pay in for £150, so will start savings with that.

SnugglySnerd · 31/03/2018 06:38

I've been missing Need too. Hope you are OK!

I know what you mean about noisy baby toys. We have a few but they are saved to bring out for special occasions eg. Everyone is crying and I need distraction tactics! At the moment the dts love stacking rings (or trying to) and rolling balls or cars. They also love those tactile "that's not my..." books which if funny because they now feel the pages of all books!

Today should be NSD.

mammymammyIRL · 31/03/2018 06:38

I've loads to catch up on but it's not going to happen today as I'm off out to do s 10k and meet my dm & dsis and then visit a friends house, all of this is happening a two hour car journey away.

SunnyLikeThursday · 31/03/2018 07:46

Ds has asked for bonkers expensive lego set for his birthday so we have agreed to do only free stuff for the whole Easter holiday. This is going to be quite a challenge. Maybe have to spend the whole holiday pressure washing slabs.

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2018 07:53

My hairdresser spent £250 on a Lego Porsche. Is it one of those?.

ememem84 · 31/03/2018 07:59

Ds ate banana this morning. I’ve just woken up and could hear things going on in the living room. Dh and ds are sharing a banana. Ds loved it. 🍌

So far we’ve tried sweet potato, peas carrots banana and butternut. 🍠🥕

All successful. Yippee.

Today I’m going riding then to a baby shower. Have to get some Easter eggs somewhere....totally forgot. Oops.

ememem84 · 31/03/2018 08:01

Friend of mine bought the Lego Star Wars milenium falcoln for himself for Christmas. And Lego Death Star for his birthday. Grand total £800 on Legos. 🙀

SnugglySnerd · 31/03/2018 08:06

Sunny if there is a Toys R Us near you they have a closing down sale. Lots of Lego when I went in. Only 10% off but that was a few weeks ago. It might be cheaper now. Or second hand?
Our local paper lists free holiday activities. There's quite a lot going on eg egg hunt trail around shopping centre etc.
