Sainsburys shop just came. £45, including a £7.50 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.Grin

Meal Plan :
Today : veggie roast dinner with roast Quorn.
Monday: jackets with cheese, pesto and spinach.
Tuesday : Quorn and veg stirfry with wholewheat noodles.
Wednesday : macaroni cheese with spinach.
Thursday : same.
Friday : Quorn chicken burgers and chips.
Saturday : meal out, probably pizza.
Sunday : Cauldron veggie sausages with mash, mixed veg and gravy.

I don't feel too bad in myself today, apart from my incredibly sore and swollen throat. Going to have a shower, get dressed and make dinner, while I'm still feeling ok. I feel like a walk, as it's a lovely, mild day here, but I'm a bit worried about pushing it too far. I have visions of walking down the hill, and not having the energy to walk back up itGrin.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 19/02/2017 14:04

Cheese on toast for lunch. Very un gourmet. Was nice bread though. The rain yesterday made me flat so we went to Maccy-D's for tea (dp paid). Did spend £10 in morrisons on bread and yoghurts (and then remembered I don't need to do packed lunches next week).

We have 1/2 fixed the fence so far; the pole driver thing, we've called it the 'doinker' and banned dd3 from going near it, is awesome. How exciting is my life!

em add a newborn nappy and a pair of novelty knitted booties to your box, and you're all set!

Ipsomatic · 19/02/2017 14:20

Hang in there Creme. I hope you enjoyed the walk.

ipso glad the explosive child is working for you. It was life changing for us.

seacow great that DS eats healthy food. Mine is a beige food addict and a sugar addict. I will be brushing his teeth till he is an adult I think Grin

wreck I have the Rick Stein India book. It's great. What would work well with that curry is some raita (grated cucumber with the water squeezed out and mixed with plain yogurt and a bit of garam masala).

Am re-doing sealant around bathroom as it's totally manky. B and Q £21.13

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2017 14:44

ffs so much for a NSD £37 lakeland as kitchen cakes have packed up- got some baking trays to make up to free delivery.

boiler keeps losing pressure so will have to call a plumber next week. research tells me its a pressure valve so £200 ish

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2017 14:50

kitchen cakes * kitchen scales (i was making a cake)

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 19/02/2017 14:52

Had such a busy week at work. Now off on half term, thank goodness!
Money is tight but I get paid on Thursday, will need to transfer money from savings for hair appointment and waxing tomorrow and for food in London on Tuesday, train tickets are already paid for. Might be in London on Friday but that will be after payday.
Have started to work out, only two days in but enjoying it, want to get fit again as never really went back to exercising after my surgery in late 2014, over two years ago!

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 19/02/2017 14:56

Oh yes and we broke our bed Shock not by DTD I hasten to add, DH (skinny, prob about 10 stone!) went to get in and it collapsed with a huge cracking noise. We bought a super cheap replacement from IKEA, it's pine wood and was £59, the old mattress is still good.
Making a huge red lentil curry with spinach and rice.

Needastrongone · 19/02/2017 14:57

Cag Your lunch sounds lovely. I never know why folk want to eat crap when real food tastes so much better. Obviously I am ignoring financial constraints.

Bugger Life

£3 today on a XC race. Was the hardest XC I have ever done, and I have done a few in my time. Brilliant fun, but fricking hilly, muddy, tree roots, extreme downs, streams and bloody long for a XC at nearly 6 miles. I am fricking knackered but will crack on after a cuppa.

I'll post the elevation from my phone.

WreckTangled · 19/02/2017 15:01

I remember your op MissA! Can't believe it was two years ago.

I didn't pay attention to how much the ice cream was Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2017 15:12

Nice run need.
Rest up crème. It's starting to cloud over anyway.

Cagliostro · 19/02/2017 15:17

Crikey need! 😱 Tres hilly indeed.

Just made use of our bus passes -
So nice not to be scrabbling round for bus fare - £31 mainly on storage bits in wilko as two of the bed drawers in the caglets' room are broken. It'll do for now.

Ipsomatic · 19/02/2017 15:30

I just went out and burned off the dead top growth in my herbaceous border and then dug half of it over. It was really quite enjoyable as the weather is warm here today and the soil was not too hard to dig. I'm going to pay someone else to finish it though. Grin

Today is going so slow because of my stupid lurgy cold that is making me feel too unwell to do much so I'm just sitting about feeling sorry for myself Grin.

Creme Your meal plan looks very similar to what DH and I usually eat (we are both vegetarian). We eat quite a lot of Quorn stuff. I have a roast in the freezer but he has been working all the last few Sundays (including today) so haven't done it yet. Idk what we will have tonight but something quick and easy seeing as I feel unwell. Maybe pasta.

ememem84 · 19/02/2017 16:01

Finally submitted my gp invoices to the insurers. Hooray. So should see that money back in a week or two.

Third load of washing on. Dh has made two soups for next week and I've done a shopping list.

Dh is making veggie Thai curry for dinner.

WreckTangled · 19/02/2017 16:07

We're having homemade burgers for dinner. With chips. Mmmm. The dc are just in the bath, Dh still at work.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2017 16:12

We had roast beef for lunch. Easy tea. Kid's will no doubt want pasta and cheese. I think I will have falafel

Brightermornings · 19/02/2017 16:18

It's cold and miserable were I am. Football ended up being £2 as it was a friendly. Dd scored twice and tried to talk me into buying subway but I said no plus the fact I didn't take my purse.
Chicken in in the oven I'm under a blanket on the sofa.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 19/02/2017 16:38

Golly need I send you a strava 👍kudos!!

Fence finished (bit in the middle left as building a raised bed there), and laid a few more block pavers on the 'patio'.

Buggered up tea, was meant to be slow cooked gammon, but forgot to put it on. Will have a quick sausages found in the freezer casserole instead, but later on. Noone needs to get up in the morning, so bed time doesn't matter tonight.

Frazzled74 · 19/02/2017 17:14

Meal plan -
Roast chicken
Pea and potato curry
Fish cous cous and roasted veg,
Chilli and wedges
Super food cannelloni (JO)
Omelette and salad for me, dc's pizza
Home made burgers and chips
I'm going for a no spend week this week. (Apart from online food shop), no topping up with biscuits etc. I'm working most days and on my days off I'm going to try and work out a way of earning a bit of extra cash, surveys, selling on music magpie etc. my friend has started taking in ironing which is bringing her in a fair amount , but I'm not that dedicated.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2017 17:41

Ah well that's tomorrow's tea sorted then I'd.
I've listed loads of stuff on Facebook. 1 go to sell then chazzer as need to get rid of stuff.

No idea about tomorrow food. Will take cake and a pic nic lunch. Will see what time we leave the lakes. Might be chip shop tea as it will be about 1.5 hours there and same back

allthebestplease · 19/02/2017 18:05

I bought eggs and butter to do baking as fed up with prices of biscuits and cakes. Problem is I end up eating them all!!!

WreckTangled · 19/02/2017 18:10

I'm the same all. I love oat and raisin cookies and chocolate chip shortbread mmm

Needastrongone · 19/02/2017 18:21
