Popped to the post office to send off a parcel to my friend who has had a baby, that was £3.50 I think 1st class. Picked up some beautiful cards there, they were £1 each and so lovely I may even frame some of them to put up in the new house! I got 6 so £6, also got £10 out in cash.

I am so going to go over drawn this month Blush

Girlie, I had to pay council tax for when I had an overlap last year, as I signed the tenancy for the new house about 5 weeks before giving up the tenancy on my old house (even though I normally don't pay any council tax!). Have you got your moving boxes and started packing yet?

Babs, great news about your DS. Star

NSD.

My Loop energy monitor has produced a nice graph for me. The y axis is £ per month. You can really tell when the weather changed just by the dramatic drop in gas expenditure.

Em I think it was before you joined that I was wittering about my energy monitor, but it's very nice, I think you would like it. It's a Loop monitor and it produces graphs on my browser window for me and tells me when it's time to change supplier and who to change to. In fact, the only time I tried it, I just phoned up my supplier and they just lowered the tarriff by some staggering amount. This is the one I have: www.loopenergysaver.com/ I think you might enjoy it.

Ememem84 · 09/06/2016 19:41

ipsos funny you mention that. We think we're being over charged for our electric. (And only have one electric company here to choose from).
I've emailed energy co to see if they have a monitor we can either get from them or one they recommend.

I've taken to chargin my phone and kindle at work...

Just been riding. Worst busiest day ever at work. Absolutely rushed off my feet. So being able to go up to the stables for a couple of hours was a nice relaxer. Lesson was at 6 I arrived at 530. Brushed ponies and tacked up. And he some proper quality pony time. Then my hours private lesson. Expensive at £45. But I tried one in every now and then just to improve things. Cantered poles and circles. And am feeling way more comfortable up there now. And instructor says I'm looking heaps better. Yay

Other than riding spends £28 on petrol. And £39 on a bottle of gin for my dad for Father's Day.

I dropped one of my bosses home from work today (he had to leave bang on 5, I needed him to stay for 10 mins or so so he could sign things for me) he lives near the stables. Embarrassed at the state of my car. Absolutely filthy. Must wash it at the weekend.

PurpleRibbons · 09/06/2016 19:41

NSD and a frugal win, got a cc statement saying I am £51 in credit. Not sure how that happened but I phoned them and they have transferred it into my account. Need petrol though which will probably be the whole lot gone.

ipsogenix · 09/06/2016 20:15

That's amazing that Jersey just has one energy company Em. I hadn't realised that.

Ememem84 · 09/06/2016 20:25

It's nuts ipsos were paying £75 a month for our electrics. No gas. I think it can be Lower but realistically can't work out how to cut it further.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/06/2016 20:26

You need a house with a wood burner em

babsmam · 09/06/2016 20:26

LSD for last couple of days.
Have been reading though. Thanks for the wishes re ds. V proud although he's not best pleased at giving up skate park coaching as there is a clash. No money saving though as there are fa fees to pay even though the weekly subs are less

WreckTangled · 09/06/2016 20:31

Almost nsd.

£165 on Boundary Brighton tickets. My friend will give me back half though.

It's my verity day Wednesday and I literally have nothing planned. Dh is at work ds at pre school until 11:30. Meh. I hate birthdays.

Ememem84 · 09/06/2016 20:36

That's the dream fluffy house with room for wood burner. Aga. Vegetable beds. And ponies.

ipsogenix · 09/06/2016 20:37

Boris Johnson is being politely savaged by a bunch of women, live on ITV just now. Classic.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 09/06/2016 20:54

Ipso its really a who can get one up on the other really as about own personal gain and image sorry politics frustrates me immensely

ipsogenix · 09/06/2016 21:02

It's all a bit bonkers isn't it? I do so very much wish that we could work out the facts and make the right decision though.

needastrongone · 09/06/2016 21:11

Local council Girlie, advise them of your completion date when you have it, no rush. Make a list of ALL the companies that will need to know you new address and do a generic letter. Ask them to acknowledge receipt. Helps your credit rating if your address is up to date.

Teeth keep falling out for a long time to come, I am afraid to advise you though Smile

Spendy day, but first one in a long time.
£45 Nail, toes, eyebrows. I know have pink sparkly fingers and toes.
£50 Farrier, pony needed shoes doing (fronts)
£150 deposit for 2 chairs. Grey. Studded. Velour. Cool. Slow transformation from cheap furniture to investment pieces progresses slowly. Wish I had had the guts to order one in mustard.

Tea was kedgeree. Cheap and yummy.

needastrongone · 09/06/2016 21:12

Lord, spelling is crap, I have had a glass of wine!

needastrongone · 09/06/2016 21:17

I don't think Boris will mind being savaged by a bunch of women at all Ipsos Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/06/2016 21:18

How big was the glass?. 😳

Mustard sounds brilliant. Do it.

ipsogenix · 09/06/2016 21:28

Loving that you are kicking back and letting the spelling go need. Think you're probably right about Boris. It's the one thing that Eton didn't prepare him for though. Bit of an oversight that.

Cagliostro · 09/06/2016 21:29

Aw wow Babs well done miniBabs! :o Shame about having to give up the skate park coaching though (I think it's really cool that is available as well, wish they did it here!) but what a great opportunity for him. What a star :)

Might send DH and the DCs to the steam railway tomorrow, there's an offer on where you get crazy cheap tickets by showing that you got the bus there. So would be £7 for the 3 of them (I'd stay home) rather than £34, and the bus pass is only £12.50 so a pretty reasonable day out if they take a picnic I guess. DD has been asking about going again and it'd be less busy on a school day... and I'd get a quiet rest day which is desperately needed!

More enquiries about my maths club too. :)

ipsogenix · 09/06/2016 21:35

Sounds lovely Cag.

babsmam · 09/06/2016 21:39

Thanks cag. He is using it as an opportunity to get me to take him on a tour of skate parks of the north east as recompense. Cheeky mischief that he is.

Tryingtosaveup · 09/06/2016 23:15

This thread seems to have disappeared from my mumsnet credit crunch topic. Don't know what I've done but I have not been able to get on to it for days....really got withdrawal symptoms. Glad to have found it again

Tryingtosaveup · 09/06/2016 23:27

Thanks for the info on the space centre Cag, going to take DGD at the beginning of August.
Sorry not to have replied sooner but this thread has disappeared off my mumsnet and it's the only one I post on. Don't know what I've done.
