Haven't been on the old thread for a few days so thought I'd start a new thread as it's nearly full.

Sounds lovely and of course, the hint of red is festive too.

Ipsos · 22/12/2015 17:04

Thanks Creme. When say exercise I really mean the 60 metre school run (walk), the housework, and a walk into town once a week. I've never been one to overdo it on anything that could actually be called exercise. Thanks for the explanation. I'll keep at it here, with putting the feet up. Smile

That's really interesting to know that some of your have nails "done". I just have mine cut short for easy typing. It's amazing how differently people spend their money isn't it?

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/12/2015 17:09

Nice bonus Collie.

pointless Was it a night terror? They run in dhs family. He used to walk his dn around the garden in the early hours to bring him out of it. Bet the neighbours loved that.

£40 hair. I thought I was paying £35 cut etc and was leaving the change for the hairdresser but it went up without me noticing and I've been leaving £1 tips. He's had another £1 tip today Blush. There's me saying "keep the change for the house fund".

£3 in sainsbos.

babsmam · 22/12/2015 17:32

£30 at the climbing wall. £10 in the co-op
Shopping tomorrow £90.
And something for DS as it's extraction day. I know someone who used to have ME and never realised what she might have been through. New level of respect to you guys

northender · 22/12/2015 17:33

CFS can also be mistaken for all sorts of other things and have a range of physical symptoms. My friend was investigated for brain tumours, MS and other things due to her severe balance problems which fortunately have improved but were part of her CFS. Horrible, poorly understood condition.

Lovely and peaceful here as both dc are away tonight. I've already wrapped their presents but I think I'll get on with all the other presents tonight.

Can you have false shellac nails? It's very rare that all of my nails are a nice length as they just break so easily but I would love to have them done nicely. False nails don't fit me well though because my hands are tiny and (top to bottom not side to side) my nails are flat not curved Hmm

Ipsos · 22/12/2015 18:02

I just looked at the next VIP sale and the only thing I was considering buying is already our of stock in that size. People clearly don't hang about. Smile Not a great loss here though so that's fine.

Ipsos · 22/12/2015 18:24

A neighbour just came to my door and I found myself saying "Do come in." as if I was Margot Leadbetter from the Good Life. Check me out, all fancy with my nice wooden hall floor, and now putting airs. SmileSmileSmile

Pointlessfan · 22/12/2015 18:43

I love Margot ipsos, I hope you made them stand on newspaper too Xmas Grin
fluffy it seems more like separation anxiety but it's never happened before, weird. DH is just putting her to bed so I'm just enjoying 10 minutes peace before all hell breaks loose again! I've spent the whole afternoon dreading the evening.
Realised this morning that we hadn't got DH's nan a Xmas pressie so got that and cat food which was on offer in Pets at Home.
Fingers crossed we get some sleep tonight, send some sleepy vibes this way please!

colliepirate · 22/12/2015 18:46

The Next sale served us well actually. The stuff I wanted was cheaper than Sainsburys and I bought a few summer bits for DS too. I shan't complain.

CremeEggThief · 22/12/2015 18:47

I love that, IpsosXmas Grin.

Pointless, hope you can get some sleep. I did wonder if it was night terrors too.

colliepirate · 22/12/2015 18:47

Pointless good luck! sleepy vibes x

Pointlessfan · 22/12/2015 18:49

Thank you! I don't know much about night terrors, off to google...

babsmam · 22/12/2015 18:49

Sleep baby pointless, sleep

AdoraBell · 22/12/2015 18:49

My DSis has CFS and your discription is spot on Ipsos

Speedy day here, £50 on extra present for DH, £128 on phones - added to my contract- for DDs.

Will catch up properly later.

Pointlessfan · 22/12/2015 18:53

The crying started the second DH left her room. She's trying it on isn't she?

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/12/2015 18:59

Perhaps. Sleep must be really boring to children.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/12/2015 19:03

How old pointless?

Pointlessfan · 22/12/2015 19:08

She's 21 months. We have never had problems getting her to sleep before so we don't really have any strategies.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/12/2015 19:12

I would have thought she was too old for separation anxiety if she's been fine before. If it was me then I would probably stay in their until she was asleep for a couple of nights and try again. Both my dc have done this and it's never lasted long. That's just me though, I hate the thought of them being sad in their room alone!

CremeEggThief · 22/12/2015 19:14

Could you co-sleep and all have an early night? I know it's not a long-term fix, but just for a few nights until Christmas is over. I feel for you all.

Ursulatodd · 22/12/2015 19:17

Our DD recently went through a funny sleep week; coming into our room in the dead of night, waking really early etc...it did just last a week and she's now back to her usual pattern thankfully although might have been down to the bribe 'stay in bed for chocolate Cheerios. If you get out its weetabix' Blush (I must add that she happily eats non-sugary cereal every day but she is 3 and easily fooled!)

Ememem84 · 22/12/2015 19:32

£15 on forgotten foresaw the for fils girlfriend.

£23 on new hair. Should have been £73 but had a voucher. The colour worked this time. And my hairdresser had some fun blow drying it wavy. It's usually poker straight.

Just sat here eating fajitas and preening

Pointlessfan · 22/12/2015 19:43

You lot are magic - she's asleep! For now...

Ememem84 · 22/12/2015 20:15

*forgotten present.
