Haven't been on the old thread for a few days so thought I'd start a new thread as it's nearly full.

Spotty Grin

Needa yeah she is quite 'spirited' at times Wink

Yes Ipsos will work on some alternatives!!

needastrongone · 15/12/2015 18:29

spotty It was £28 for a years subscription, which I thought was really good value for what you get.

Ipsos · 15/12/2015 18:51

I've just set up my budgeting spreadsheet for 2016. It makes me feel a bit like spring is on the way. Smile Come on spring!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/12/2015 18:52

It's not ok to tell boys to fuck off when their annoying you? I'm only just getting to the point that I could if I had to.

At least she didn't call him a cunt.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/12/2015 18:55

Grin fluffy!

babsmam · 15/12/2015 18:58

Ah girlie at least she can stand up for herself.
Fuck off has its place though I agree SD spotty.

How the hell did I spend £51 in Morrison's?

I can't face the rest of the month never mind a 2016 budget. Is that for the whole year? I need some of your ideas and inspiration.

babsmam · 15/12/2015 18:59

Are we secret swearers on here? I swear like a trooper but not in front of the dc.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/12/2015 19:01

I do swear a lot and I think ffs is probably my most common one. I blame work the doctors are the worst but I never hear the lovely nurses swear!

colliepirate · 15/12/2015 19:01

ipsos that's very pretty. Thanks for sharing.

When I was 6 or 7 I told my teacher to shove her exam papers up her ass. I remember it SO well. I also remember telling her to piss off when she tried to calm me down about the exams. It must have been SATs or something. It was a paper about echoes and reflection. The story is a strong favourite in our family. Xmas Blush

Whataboutreindeer · 15/12/2015 19:04

I try so hard not to swear in front of the kids. Fail sometimes and always regret it!

£66 in sainsvury on baking ingredients and bits. Rip of.

£22 on posting cards as my husband did and sent them first as they told them no where locally has second and won't till the weekend. Grrrrr.

Ememem84 · 15/12/2015 19:12

LSD today. £1.50 on an ice cream with a flake.

Picked up my Christmas jumper today too. Yay!!

Pointlessfan · 15/12/2015 19:22

Thanks for kind thoughts, am starting to perk up now and even managed a small amount of shepherds pie.
DH did the shopping £44 which is less than I ever manage, maybe I'll make a frugaleer of him yet!
Tomorrow I need to get a few token gifts and I really really need to take DD for a haircut, the poor child can hardly see out!

Ipsos · 15/12/2015 19:35

Babs It's just an empty excel file to write down what I spend. Nothing fancy here. Smile

I'm not a secret swearer. I swear like a trouper. Ds tells me off. Oddly, I'm from a nice family where no one swears. I've no idea why I like it so much. Reaction to being always a such a goody-two-shoes in other respects, possibly. I imagine if I saw myself on video I'd be appalled.

Collie I dislike the SATs even more now. I wish they'd get abolished.

pointless that's great that you're feeling a bit better. I woke up feeling rubbish and have been sitting in bed sipping water all day. What a nuisance eh? I think I'm going for my record number of viruses this autumn. Sincerely hoping to be between viruses on Christmas day.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/12/2015 19:41

I was brought up in a non swearing household too. We weren't allowed to say shut up or stupid. I've never ever heard my dad swear. He's the best Smile I'm awful in the car as well Blush

Ipsos · 15/12/2015 19:47

I kind of think that a bit of swearing is a healthy outlet for stress. My ds has some made up words that do the same sort of thing and he's very keen on them. Currently he blows hard through his nose when he's angry, which makes him look as if he's been taking snuff.

needastrongone · 15/12/2015 19:49

I was brought up in a non swearing household too but my DC are definitely not. This is only since they were older though, they swear with their mates, I would be stupid to think otherwise. I was really stressed about reversing the horse box the other week and told DD really loudly to 'f**k you'!! It was so shocking that we both burst out laughing and defused the situation.

Not my best parental moment Grin

Ipsos · 15/12/2015 19:52

That's good anger management training though. :-)

Ipsos · 15/12/2015 19:54

I just read up on how to avoid viruses and the internet says that warm people get fewer of them. Do you think that's right? I'm always cold. Maybe my plan of saving energy on heating is not so clever? Maybe I should be living in a massive knitted bag until June?

babsmam · 15/12/2015 19:54

Funnily enough swearing is a big no no in my parents house, well until my brothers grew up.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/12/2015 19:55

Pointless He's forgotten something. Dh did the shopping once and spent loads less than me. He drove home planning to gloat that I did it all wrong and I pointed out all the stuff he'd just not bought.

Dh told the ndn to fuck off when he was 4. Neither of his parents ever swear so he must have heard it accompanying his dad at work. Poor mil.

CremeEggThief · 15/12/2015 19:57

Coming from Ireland, where most people swear a lot, I made a huge effort not to swear around DS when he wa younger. So much that I hardly swear at all now anyway. However, he's taken to swearing like a trooper since starting secondary school Sad.

Ipsos · 15/12/2015 19:58

Funny Fluffy. :-) My ds went through a long phase of shouting C*ck! In public places. I think it's pretty clear where he learned it.
