Poor lad, I remember your kitten being poorly.

Let's hope it sorts itself out.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 10/05/2015 22:05

Lovely weekend, as my brother came to visit. He treated us to coffee and cake and an Indian meal out last night and I bought us afternoon tea today. Total spends for the weekend- £40, which was my budget. Yay!

I'll read through tomorrow. Night all. X

Iamnotanugget · 11/05/2015 07:49

Flowers unescorted I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time. Given the stats you posted I would give it a very short time to get a clearer picture and then tell your brother as when you tell him he'll want to know how long you've known.

Spent 10p yesterday and aiming for £1.60 on butter.

Garden looks lovely missA, just need the summer to arrive.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 11/05/2015 08:24

Thanks Iam it needs more doing but we move out in July so trying to do things that don't cost £ or we can take with us like hanging baskets.

Unescorted hope you are OK, so so sorry to hear your news. I'd tell your brother as he may never forgive you, what a horrible position to be in. Flowers Brew

needastrongone · 11/05/2015 09:43

unescorted Such a tough time that you are having. I am sorry about the whole situation. Life can really throw stuff at you sometimes can't it?

peonies Love the garden!

girlie Any news on the cat?

I haven't totted up my spends this weekend. It isn't too much I don't think. I'll post later. Having a welcome day in the house for the first time in weeks. There's tons to do.

DD's team rode out of their skins this weekend and finished ONE point behind going to the HOYS qualifier. So near, and so far. DD can't decide whether to be happy or sad!

northender · 11/05/2015 11:21

unescorted sorry you're having such a hard time.
Impressed with the tidy garden MissA
need hard to come so close but miss out.

Our weekend was busy but good and not too spendy (only because most of it had already been budgetted for or paid for Wink). dd's cricket team won their first proper match yesterday, my football team made it to the play off final at Wembley, dh's team lost 3-2 but still have the second leg so could still do it. Stuck to the meal plan but haven't quite sorted this week's yet. Hoping for a low spend week overall.

babsmam · 11/05/2015 11:45

Now have garden envy missa.
Bad luck needa dd.

40 in matalan but that should be me for the summer. 10 in lidl and 65 in aldi. Just need meat now from the butchers

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/05/2015 16:12

MissA I bet you ache today too. It's good practice for when it's your garden.

Need that must sting. Poor girl.

£1 on bread rolls.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/05/2015 16:18

£42 petrol
£24 tesco on lunch to take to a friends, bananas, ham and socks and pants for ds (in preparation for potty training Shock) will have to leave it a month though I think as too much going on Confused

Passthecake30 · 11/05/2015 16:43

£2.50 ish on throat sweets, pain au choc, soup and a roll. All medicinal as I have a snotty cold. Boss suggested I go home but given as I am about to hand my notice in after only just starting it felt wrong. ...I think he is a germophobe as I've never had a reaction to my germs quite like itGrin

Sorry to hear about poorly parents and poorly cats x

babsmam · 11/05/2015 16:58

Thinking about starting a thread but though I will ask your opinion first. Doing fund raising for scouts. Bake sale in lieu of sponsorship at work and dance. Work is fine going to ask for donations. Dance however when they have had cake sales in the past the people doing it have set prices at £1 a large cupcake and 50p a fairy cake. I'm torn between setting prices or just asking for donations at dance. Wwyd?

SpottyTeacakes · 11/05/2015 17:29

Just been reminded why I only buy bisto. Tesco gravy is soooo lumpy

Have you emailed the CEO of npower? Threaten the ombudsman, they are in the shit with the ombudsman over billing already.

They own the debt collection companies you know.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 11/05/2015 18:17

What a pita! energy companies seem to be notorious at being rubbish about this.

NSD - ill and feeling rubbish but had a phonecall saying we won a raffle prize £20 Morrisons voucher! Anything particularly good value there?

girliefriend · 11/05/2015 18:52

94p on a packet of polos and a can of lemonade!

Dd has come out of school with a massive bruise on her thigh, am I right in being a bit annoyed that the school didn't mention anything to me about it? Plus dd said the dinner ladies just told her to stop crying, given she has sensory issues around pain perception I am quite cross about that as well!!

Oh and a lady picked up a couple of things I had sold via fb so £6 up Smile

No more news on the cat, he is going in for tests tomos so hopefully know more by the end of the week.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/05/2015 19:00

girlie I would be very annoyed Angry

needastrongone · 11/05/2015 20:16

girlie I would be mentioning something for sure! Hope your DD is ok.

Bloody energy companies! I would like to say I can't believe it, but I can... I agree, CEO and Facebook complaints.

Good news re the voucher tewi. I do use Morrisons, but can't think of anything specific other than using it for offers. Does it have to be used at once?

babs I wouldn't mind spending a quid or 50p and it wouldn't bother me being charged that, rather than a donation. I might be glad of a price suggestion.

pass Hope you feel better soon.

LSD - £5 on a lesson for DD and pony. Also a couple of revision guides for GCSE for DS, bought at a reduced price via school. £20 in total. But, cancelled cleaner for cost neutral.

Over weekend. £30 on tack and jodphurs. I thinks that it, possibly DH might have spent £10 in loose change.

Had an omelette for tea, gave the kids smiley faces with it, which made them laugh, as they are teenagers and haven't had them for years.

ItalianWiking84 · 11/05/2015 21:03

Busy busy couple of days...
So sorry to hear with those posters, who have family and love ones who are sick and need treatment...
DD went to a guest daycare today for the first time, really hard for me to leave her behind but luckily she did have a good day and enjoyed it there with the couple mof other children, unfortunally we forgot to get her dream sheep home, who she uses to fall a sleep with, so she always have it with her in her pram and bed... So nighttime took a bit longer, but hoping she will still have a good night.
In the weekend was mothers day, so spend the Sunday with my mom and have her a bench (60£) Groceries was around 70ish£ and today Ive been lazy and ordered a pizza for me and DP 16ish £ (dd got dinner at my parents) now I have nice pizza for lunch tomorrow :)
My temp. part job ends the 29th and I still have found anything else, which really sucks... Because we only have been back here since sep. I still havent earned all the hours needed for unemployment benefit from the union, so will only get from the govr., which is a lot less, will only been around a 1200£ before tax, really really hope that luck soon strikes me....
Hope you all have a lovely night

Laska42 · 11/05/2015 21:07

unescourted sorry to hear about your DF and your difficult dilemma, ( i think you should tell your Db if ifs any help).

My weekend was NSDs nd mostly spent in the garden.. but today has been very spendy. £60 for bike service/repairs and another £31 on a new lock and pump. Bike is Dhs old one but a good one that needed some work and we have now give to DS - but at least he will have some form of transport now (and it wil be his birthday present although he has it already ).

Then £12.40 on birthday present and card for a friend, and £14.89 in Sainsburys ( went in late and got 4 fresh large chicken thighs reduced to 80p!). I also got two packs of 'cooking bacon'.. These are really good value if youve not tried them .. 650g for £1.15.. I always make sure i get lean ones and poach them like gammon ( which they often are trimmings of) to eat cold as ham..

Then £48 on petrol.. (car was down to last gasp)

I thought May was going to be a tough month and so it has proved..its only the 11th and I now only have £125 left to last me .. though all bills paid ..

We are going away next weekend but ferry is paid for and we are staying with friends.. ill have to pay the cat sitter (budgetted for already) but i think ill have to get Dh to buy the wine to take i think.. (friend doesnt like chocs, candles or flowers etc as presents .but does like ££s wine ... so wine it has to be.. ) There wil be a takeaway and a meal out , though we will share the cost.. and if im lucky i can get DH to fill the car up again..

Luckily there's lots of food in the freezer.. but ill have to postpone the hair cut ithink until june.. However that means i wont have to get it done again until after the holiday then.

Belated well done on job pass and hope your mums cat is ok girlie
..

Am still gutted about election result btw..there are lots of glum faces at work, we all reckon we wont be there much longer .. (local council).

Oh and 30£ on petrol for car

CremeEggThief · 11/05/2015 21:20

Gosh, what a dilemma, UnescortedThanks. I agree that your other brother needs to know ASAP.

£22.85 Tesco and £10, topping up DS's phone.

Meal plan this week:
Today- waffles, Quorn sausages, fried eggs and beans (already had these).
Tuesday- jackets with cheese and beans.
Wednesday- veggie burgers, wedges and salad.
Thursday- mushroom risotto. It's aaaages since I made this, so looking forward to it!

Friday- same as Thursday.

Pointlessfan · 11/05/2015 21:47

Sorry to hear so many of you are having a rough time Flowers
Almost NSD today, just £2.49 on a big block of cheese. I cannot believe how fast cheese disappears in this house! Just earned £1.20 doing a Quidco survey so net spending only £1.29 I think my mental arithmetic is shocking!
