£5.80 travel.
£2.20 latte.
£1.65 post office.

Well done, Pass. Hope you work something out.

babsmam · 06/05/2015 19:34

No my kids draw wherever they think they will get away with it.

Lsd as predicted but woefully low on food this week.
Planning and prep is rubbish this week and it's showing

Pointlessfan · 06/05/2015 20:17

Well done Pass!
A spreadsheet for children's clothes is an excellent idea! I think I will do that and maybe even one for myself.
Spent £11 on cat food l, bananas and milk and 30p in a charity cake sale some kids at school organized plus I owe my mum £8 for the window cleaner.

Pointlessfan · 06/05/2015 20:18

Spotty I bought a Magic Eraser and DH used it ONCE to clean the bathroom then threw it away! Words were had!!

NK5BM3 · 06/05/2015 20:22

Well done pass! Hope they agree to your request.

Spent £12 at Sainsburys buying a present for a friend of dd's who we are close to and ended up getting some 3 for 2 cakes too.

My body hurts like mad. Argh.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2015 20:23

I hope it works, our walls look awful and it makes our house look manky. I'm so cross with her!

TeWiSavesTheDay · 06/05/2015 20:29

DD1 was awful for drawing on things spotty, drove me crazy - she hasn't done it for ages though (now 6) hopefully it's the end of it! Make her clean it up.

So have had my clothes buying binge, 83 pounds across tesco and character.com on 27 items (including a few character backpacks etc for the gift box to get free postage!)

also 6.85 on milk and loo roll.

Now to see if I did the cashback right! Thanks for the help fluffy.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 06/05/2015 20:30

Who is going to the races? I wore cowboy boots once! Depends which track/day it is (and primarily which area you are of the crowd) the codes can be very forgiving.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2015 20:37

Tewi I am going to goodwood on the last Friday of the three Fridays. In the Richmond enclosure Blush

TeWiSavesTheDay · 06/05/2015 21:03

Ah - enjoy! You should be okay with strappy/nice sandals I think - www.goodwood.com/horse-racing/explore-the-racecourse/plan-your-day/dress-code.aspx#lxd5OoTHyhqrrkUy.97

Iamnotanugget · 06/05/2015 21:28

I'm back. April has been very spendy and busy and doesn't actually finish for me until tomorrow, so I haven't finished reading the April thread. I thought I'd just catch up with May. I've meal planned for the week using what we have in already so,

Thursday Peanut butter / risotto
Friday lentil spread / enchiladas and chips
Saturday baked beans / lentil supper
Sunday crumble / sweetcorn bake
Monday pasta and pesto / soup
Tuesday egg/ macaroni cheese
Wednesday hummus / chili
Thursday hummus / dahl

It's not very exciting but with fruit, milk etc the weeks shop is only £25.

spotty ds draws on the walls whenever he gets a spare minute. We tell him off but he doesn't seem to care. Magic erasers don't seem to work either so parts of the house look awful but I can't see the point I'm decorating until he stops doing it.

Congratulations on job pass and thank you again for voucher. I now have a lovely dress to wear to weddings for £24.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2015 21:39

I have issues tewi and tend to live in trainers or boots. I find it impossible to walk in flat sandals (other than birkies) because of foot drop/high gait. It's really shit because I'd look nice in heels and a dress. Also I don't like people seeing my feet Blush

Iamnot dont say that I really need cleaner walls! Honestly it's everywhere. All up the stairs, above my bed, above the heaters in the sitting room and dc bedroom plus by dds bed!

Passthecake30 · 06/05/2015 22:28

New place offered more money so I'm off! It'll be equal to what I'm on now less all the travel and parking. I've wanted to work there for the last 4 years so I'm happy! Now waiting for my unconditional offer and will hand my notice in....bit embarrassing after only being there for 3 daysBlush

Passthecake30 · 06/05/2015 22:30

Oh and iamnota no problem!

CremeEggThief · 06/05/2015 23:33

That's fab, Pass Smile.Wine

AdoraBell · 07/05/2015 02:18

Spent money today. Too tired to catch up, will update tomorrow.

babsmam · 07/05/2015 06:37

Well done pass. A 15 mins commute is heaven.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/05/2015 06:42

Pass that's great news Smile

Would be a nsd but I'm going to go to toddlers as we didn't go out yesterday. That'll be £2 with unlimited cake and coffee Grin

Pointlessfan · 07/05/2015 06:54

Spotty if it is crayon melt it a bit with the hairdryer and it wipes off more easily. I've seen Kim and Aggie clean walls with a slice of bread but I can't remember exactly what they did - Youtube?

SpottyTeacakes · 07/05/2015 06:56

Some of it is coloured pencil and the rest is bloody biro

TeWiSavesTheDay · 07/05/2015 07:34

Ooh, no not biro!

Pass that is brilliant. Well done.

Spotty - what about ballet flat style? Might be able to get something from Clarks or similar with enough structure for your foot?

SpottyTeacakes · 07/05/2015 07:38

They fall off my foot unless they have a strap Hmm I have some ankle boots but not sure they go with anything dressy enough.

I'm going to vote once dd is on the bus. The bus picks her up over the road in the carpark to the village hall where we vote. Very handy.

Congratulations pass on getting the job ;). And congratulations to Collie on your new home! Spotty I think the 99p or £1 shop used to sell those magic erasers..not sure if they still do? I remember seeing a wallpaper advertised once that you could colour in..if not could chalks be an option? Catching up on thread...have been sticking to budget and did save £50 last month..likely to save £20 this month if nothing unexpected comes up..using ynab (as well as still doing my paper records) I was relieved to see that my 'miscellaneous' section works out at £10 p.w. that covers parking/haircuts/stamps etc.. Been busy in the garden ..first attempt at growing veg..because of rubbish weather my DC and I made a cold frame from a cupboard . so far its helping..have the beginnings of radish.corn on cob..peppers..spring onions and leeks ;). Hope everyone is having a good day

SpottyTeacakes · 07/05/2015 08:47

Yes I heard the pound shop sold similar but by the time I've driven twenty miles there and paid for parking it's cheaper to get it off amazon!

I still need to do last months budget I'm a bit scared though Blush might do it now.
