£4ish on ice creams on the beachGrin

AuditAngel · 14/04/2015 21:48

Hello all.

Monday £54 for diesel, to reclaim from work. Also £25 for DH's xbox live membership. Not sure why I always get lumbered with paying for that? But cheaper than £40 renewal he was sent.

Today £16 in M&S food hall for fancy lunch plus a couple of extra treats. £12.50 for the window cleaner, £1,500 to my credit card, minimum payment of £100 already came out, so I have paid £600 ish more than the bill. That was pretty much what was left in my account last month (£1,685).

I bought flights on my card which missed the bill, about £1300 so half paid for. DH's flight and his cousins were paid for on debit card as fraud alert locked credit card, so expecting £225 back from his cousin soon. I am going to book center parcs in Belgium for half term which will be €530 plus no doubt a load of charges, plus about £160 for Eurotunnel. Much cheaper than a week in center parcs in UK at half term! I can't claim for fuel abroad, so will fill car at Folkstone both ways Grin

Tewi thanks for askng about the show, it was amazing, but very hard work. I'll post a picture of my 3 in costume for you. (Nay be sideways) I had 33 costumes between the three children, of which I was lent 2 (both for DS) and given 1, (also for DS).

On the last night I snuck into the gods and saw half the finale, I had a tear in my eye.

Just remembered £15 for a DVD of the show, so I can actually see it! And £12.99 for 2 photos for MIL and cousin, but MIL gave me £10 for those.

Pointlessfan · 14/04/2015 21:54

I was expecting today to be an NSD but nursery asked us for more nappies, the cat food ran out and we ran out of bananas which is a total disaster as far as DD is concerned so ended up spending £20 in Sainsburys plus £51.54 on petrol as the light came on.
Tomorrow will be NSD, I'll have to get a cab back from work on Thursday as DH will have the car, NSD on Friday but going out for drinks and a meal with friends on Saturday. I'm tempted to get the bus there and a cab home so I can have a few drinks but then it'll end up being really expensive. Had better check the bank balance first!

AdoraBell · 14/04/2015 21:54

£6.60-ish on fruit and £4.90 on ice-creams and drinks with DDs.

Brokentopieces · 14/04/2015 22:20

50 cent today on something DD 5 wanted to buy for her granny having an operation in the morning.
So that's the end of my NSD run....4 NSD's wasn't bad though

TeWiSavesTheDay · 14/04/2015 22:40

Costumes look brilliant audit! Glad it went well.

50p tooth fairy
£10.02 waitrose Fruit, squash and icecream (frugal fail...)

Itsalldramarama · 14/04/2015 23:24

To those that asked earlier an IVA.is a debt solution as an alternative to bankruptcy ! Income and expenditure worked out and disposable income paid to an insolvency practitioner who distributes payments to creditors , remaining debt is written off at the end of the5 year term ( I've lived on a IVA forum for the last 6 weeks and researched so much my eyes bleed !! Not to be taken lightly but right for me . I have a set budget for allowances which tbh is better than on full wage and paying the debts , just scary not having any overdraft as a back up .. But the downside is your credit rating is screwed for 6 years ! Ironically my credit rating was excellent up to 6 weeks ago as I have never missed a payment . As I see it the creditors still get a reurn and I am facing up to my responsibilities rather than burying head in the sand . Been a very stressful time lately !

babsmam · 15/04/2015 06:43

The costumes look fab audit. Shame you couldn't see one show live. Hope the dvd is good.

Itsall it's a tough choice to make but a brave one. Hugs.

Broken 50 Cents is not a frugal fail even if it does break your streak.
Nsd today is the plan.

LaChatte · 15/04/2015 08:32

Love the costumes Audit !

We survived camping last night, but DH forgot to peg one side of the fly sheet so we woke up with damp feet Hmm and I forgot my phone in the tent when we packed it away . We ate pasta salad, crisps, fruit and biscuits on the river beach. DS forgot the foot pump so he and his friend had a slightly hard night (we were on grass though, so they were ok really).

It's free and fun, but I'm not sure DH will be up for doing it again ever for a while.

With any luck it'll be a NSD today.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/04/2015 08:48

I'm not one for camping either Grin although in your situation it actually sounds like fun and I bet my dc would love it.

Should be nsd today I've hoovered and put some washing on, will be spending the day in the garden I think Smile

Itsalldramarama · 15/04/2015 09:34

Well not a NSD yesterday had to go and get milk ! Think I need a cow at the bottom of the garden the amount we go through ! Then DH left his baccy at work and had to buy more :( costs a fortune but can't get him to cut down despite causing sooo any arguments :(
Should be a NSD today though , chicken defrosting for stir fry tonight so really don't need anything !! (0n tender hooks waiting for IVA approval ....,, off to strip the beds ....

SpottyTeacakes · 15/04/2015 10:12

It's already 17 degrees hereSmile washing is out so now I'm in the garden with ds

Itsalldramarama · 15/04/2015 10:15

Op you are lucky! It's 6degrees and windy here !! Uggs and coat for school run ! Tempted to put the heating on :(

SpottyTeacakes · 15/04/2015 10:24

Where are you?! You can come and sit in my garden if you like Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 15/04/2015 10:31

Oh £15 towards the upkeep of DD's school pool. They start swimming next week and it's a really nice one with a cover so always warm.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 15/04/2015 10:51

Sunny here two - second load of washing on!

£3.64 on chocolate and a condolences card Sad

Itsalldramarama · 15/04/2015 10:54

the freezing north east !

LaChatte · 15/04/2015 12:08

I discovered remembered I had a load of raspberries from last summer to use up in the freezer, so I baked a cheesecake and made a coulis from the fruit, one very cheap and yummy desert!

We aint no April Frugalling Fools.. There may be Showers ahead, but we'll sail through together ...
SpottyTeacakes · 15/04/2015 13:59

That sounds delicious!

It's 24 here now (sorry!)

Iamnotanugget · 15/04/2015 14:31

LaChatte that looks yummy. I really want cheesecake now but I can't face the shops again, and making real effort to lose weight before I buy new clothes.

spotty I started reading that thread but when the op seemed to want to buy berries instead of bananas for example and still have a low bill Hmm I budget £80 for me, dh and 3 dc. 1 gets free school dinners but that £80 does all breakfasts, 4 lots of lunches, all dinners, nappies and cleaning stuff. Which links into the organic debate. We used to eat a lot of organic pre dc but the money just isn't there anymore. We have organic eggs and dairy as I do think about welfare but everything else tends to be value range. I used to use green cleaning products but my dc get filthy so I need to use 'proper' stuff. When they outgrow caking themselves in muck I will return to plant based products.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/04/2015 15:44

That cheesecake looks gorgeous!.

NSD.

Itsalldramarama · 15/04/2015 15:59

Yum that cheesecake looks fab :) woo hoo IVA accepted , won't be a NSD now .. Tesco vodka to celebrate :) and I just sold 2 pair of earring on eBay for 300£ !! Not a bad day in all :)

SpottyTeacakes · 15/04/2015 16:18

Can't see the pic on app luckily! Tonight was going to be veg casserole but it's too hot so doing halloumi and courgette skewers with pitta bread and houmous. Will probably do some chips to keep dh happy. Not sure I'll be able to resist Grin

girliefriend · 15/04/2015 17:07

Ahh that is good news Itsall Smile

Audit your kids are so cute!! Love the costumes Smile

Umm Lachatte I think you are only allowed to put pics of cheesecake up if you are going to come round with a bit for all of us Wink Grin

It has been baking here ystd and today, heating off and washing out Grin

Should have been a NSD but realised needed petrol, so that was £30. Dd off to camp tomos, will be lovely if this weather continues.
