I've a lot of chickpeas in cupboard any suggestions? Going to make hummus with one tin.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/02/2015 16:57

Girl called Jack blog has some good chickpea recipes. I like the chickpea and peach curry.

Can you ring them Spotty?

spent £5.15 on sweets/baking stuff Blush my bloodsugar was dropping so my own fault, must remember to take snacks. (I'm not diabetic, but blood pressure quite low so if I don't eat every few hours I faint!)

Hi all, so another £1.10 on parking at work, can claim back but am getting frustrated with work not providing enough free car parking spaces so having to pay instead, it uses up all my loose change!

Dd got confused and thought she was having school dinners today despite me sending her off with a pack lunch, will have to pay for that now I suppose - grr!

The cm was quizzed on school pick up over a scratch on dds face, we have been looking after a kitten all week and it scratched her this morning -probably in self defence-- someone reassure me that ss aren't going to turn up on the door!!

girliefriend · 24/02/2015 17:17

strike out fail Blush

ememem84 · 24/02/2015 17:26

SpottyTeacakes · 24/02/2015 17:30

I've been phoning lots Grin they're fed up of me. I would ring the lab myself but it's gross misconduct and all

Lilac would you think about the credit union? It's just they used to lend four times the amount of savings and tend to have better interest rates. They pay dividend and it's areducing balance so if you pay off quicker it's less interest paid. It's only suggestion mind.

I put chickpeas in my chicken curry.

Expensive day... Chemist €22 cards for pen pal €3.50 aldi €21 plus €6 in supervalue!

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/02/2015 17:47

Grin oh well, always worth a try!

Been thinking about moving DSs hospital care as not happy, but New hospital is slightly further away so will have to increase the travel pot.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/02/2015 17:48

We always choose the better hospital even if it is further away

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/02/2015 17:52

I thought the one he was at would be great! It's very well funded and respected. But it's a teaching hospital and the staff aren't that experienced, change regularly etc... Think it has been a mistake really.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/02/2015 17:54

Anyway, happy to go for new oneif it means things improve

Laska42 · 24/02/2015 17:55

That's really nice to have the same lovely dr, spotty.
We're only a few years in and it's really hard (as you know, I'm sure) to go through all of this medical stuff and then also have to keep explaining your history and what's wrong to new staff.
I think being able to build up a relationship with the drs will help me deal with it better and feel a bit less helpless.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/02/2015 18:25

Yesterday £3.15 wine, £4.19 pasta and a led work light thing for dh.

Today NSD and I got £90 cashback which will go towards a new dishwasher.

CremeEggThief · 24/02/2015 19:10

Day out today. £3.30 travel, £6.50 cinema and £5.95 lunch (our local Slug and Lettuce do a choice of meal from a menu of ten dishes and a soft drink for that price Tuesday - Friday afternoons, so it might run in your areas too) and 97p, posting a sympathy card to Ireland. Total: £16.72.

Pointlessfan · 24/02/2015 20:47

Just had to spend £5 on nappy cream but at least I got a massive tube for that in Asda.
Also £47 fees in advance for a class I do but I was expecting that.
Most exciting is that I got my payslip and I get paid on Friday for the first time since statutory mat pay stopped in November. It's a shame that I have already spent half of it on childcare though!
Chickpeas are great in curries and also tagine type things. Hugh FW has some great hummus recipes too.

574ejones · 24/02/2015 20:49

£10 fish & chips for tea as too knackered to cook after work an parents eve. Need to order a revision book tonight which will be about £20!

girliefriend · 24/02/2015 21:02

Just checked my online account and am overdrawn Sad payday friday but going to need some milk and bread before then, will do a lidls shop tomos as run out of bread, milk and few pack lunch bits. Will aim to spend £20 max.

Taking my girl cat back to the vets tomos morning, hoping for good news that her mouth is looking better

Had lovely dinner tonight, cooked a chicken breast with splodge of pesto on top, rice with some stock in the water and carrots - really simple but yum Smile Trying to work out how much it cost, chicken breast 90p, pesto 15p, rice 30p (guess) and carrot 7p - not bad at all!

fuzzpig · 24/02/2015 21:38

Yikes lots to catch up on.

I'm still recording all spends on my iPod - there is no way I'm giving that up now - but I might just lurk for the rest of this month. I've decided it's time to say goodbye to the name fuzzpig :( not for any terrible reason but I've had it a long time and probably shared too much over the years so I should 'start over' IYSWIM. And I'm itching to try out my new name.

So I'll be back in March in disguise :o Thanks

bootygirl · 24/02/2015 22:01

Had to pay music lessons tonight. So that was €55 that I was nt expecting!
