How warm is your house right now?

It's 16.3c in my lounge and barometer in my hall says about 15.5c (late morning). Heating was on for 75mins this morning and will be put on again when my DD comes home around 5pm. Just wondering how warm others keep themselves. Do you give in and put the heating on or do you want to try and keep bills down?

I've just put the heating on, but only in one room. I don't have a thermometer, but it's absolutely baltic in the house and I'm getting back ache from constantly being tense and shivery.

I know we're lucky compared to vast swathes of the world's population in that we have heat to put on, but fuck, being cold is miserable, isn't it?

Cold! Heating is on and it's still cold and I am usually the first to turn the heating down. I have a cardi, thick socks and slipper boots on and I'm thinking about making a hot water bottle.

Luckily we have a really efficient boiler and it isn't expensive to whack the heating on when we want to.

Don't have the heating on yet, haven't got any kind of temp gauge, but I'm wearing a tshirt, 2 jumpers and the sofa duvet and I'm about to make a hot water bottle, dc are all wrapped up, money is tight :(

17.5c at the moment. I've got it set to a comfort level of 18c so when it drops to 17c, the heating will automatically come on.

Night comfort level is set to 15.5c so when it falls below 14.5c it comes on.

I have it set to come on at 6am for an hour and then again at 5pm for 3 hours.

I'm absolutely freeing right now though, despite being in a thick jumper, so might put it on for an hour or so.

My electric bills are much higher than my gas bills, surprised at how low the gas is tbh.

Freezing! But I don't use the heat when I'm alone in the house, not worth the cost just for me.

We had a hard frost this morning and non it's raining, I think it feels much colder as there's so much moisture in the air.

16 degrees in rest of house, 21 in sitting room as I've lit the wood burner. Wood is free thankfully.
The heating is on 655-720am and 5-9pm set at 18.
We're not on mains gas and LPG is £££ so we try and use the wood burner as much as possible.

I love the heat from a wood burner, CH makes me feel a bit stuffed up and headachy.

Mine is 20c, no heating on at the moment but I live on the fourth floor of a new build block of flats. The insulation is excellent and I gain from the heat rising from all the flats below me.

Ours is 16.5 ish. I'm not cold though I do need to put a cardie on if I sit down any longer.

I've got the windows open a bit all over the house.

It's arseing freezing.

I am thinking of putting heating on.

My thermostat is set to 16 - heating is off at the moment.

Ours is currently at 18 degrees. The heating isn't on at the moment but the thermostat is showing the temp as 18. The heating is set to come on when the kids come home from school and it is set to be 22 degrees, it will stay on until 10pm and then come on again in the morning for an hour.

no thermometer to hand, but ran the heating for 2 hours this morning. Have been raking leaves, now indoors wearing fleece, thermal top and trousers and perfectly comfortable.

probably an early fire tonight though - time to warm up by bringing in logs!

I know, I think it also helps that the living room and kitchen are all one room so all the heat generated by the appliances keeps me toasty as well. Last night I had the oven on and by the time we'd finished dinner the room was 23c and was far too hot. On the downside we pay for our winter cosiness by boiling in the summer.

14c here although 15c in the hallway. Heating on for 1hr in the morning and 1 hr in the evening. Bit nippy but I'm comfortable in jeans and tee still.

The house is probably about 16C but my garden office (where I am now) is probably about 23C. Hoorah!

19, we have a baby and seemingly that's as warm as you're allowed to go. Feels a bit chilly to me and I keep wanting to whack up the thermostat!

22°C in the living room, heating is not on yet, but we're in well insulated, fairly new-build flat.
I cannot even imagine sitting in a room that is 16°.
