574 I had my flu jab last week (I'm a nurse so we get it free) and my arm was sore for a couple of days and I felt a bit more tired than usual the following day but definitely better than getting the flu!!

AdoraBell · 15/10/2014 21:36

NSD, first in a long while. DD1 needs To take something for a shared snack on Friday, obviuosly, but I already have 2 packets of cheap biscuits hidden at homeGrin. Just waiting to see what DD2 is told To take inHmm

Spotty can you stretch to the price for the wedding ring? I'd say that's one thing worth paying moré To get one you really love.

Lists hope the teachers are supportive when you talk To them.

PeachandBlack · 15/10/2014 21:38

Lurker just popping in!

AuditAngel, I saw Evita on Monday. Would your kids have been in it?

chocolatedonut · 15/10/2014 21:57

Adora it's £500 and I love it. Dp said I can have it!

I've had my flu jab too and my am didn't even hurt the next day (for the first time ever!)

AuditAngel · 16/10/2014 07:51

I did a post last night and lost it Sad.

Peach, yes DS was on stage on Monday. The 2 smallest boys are about the same size on this team. One is slighter, with longer hair. DS is the other little one. They look really angelic in their cassocks.

In the earthquake scene, DS runs across stage with his head bandaged.

I haven't seen it yet in London. I'm going a week on Saturday, taking MIL to the matinee. I did see it on tour in June, but I know they have changed some things.

Thanks for asking, it gives me a chance to be proud mummy Grin

Should be nsd. Going house viewing and then to hospital to visit friends baby boy...

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 16/10/2014 09:37

I was hoping for a NSD, however, I think I will have to add some petrol to the car as running low. Too many appointments this week have used more petrol than I usually use.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/10/2014 09:43

Italian when my dc were in special care only siblings and grandparents were allowed to visit. It's nice you can go and support your friend.

Should be a nsd. Just going to see a friend for coffee (our dc were in SCBU together! Funnily enough there were two people I know in there at the same time).

ItalianWiking84 · 16/10/2014 10:07

Spotty. We can't be in there either so sitting outside in case they need a hug, to scream at somebody or if I can be of practical help. The previous ops have all had complications so its just to offer support and fot them to know somebody is there if needed

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 16/10/2014 10:12

Ohhelp the Christmas thread is my kryptonite. I'm trying to avoid it. Not horribly successfully, if I'm honest. Grin

Mojito100 · 16/10/2014 11:37

Not a single NSD this week and doesn't look like it until Sunday. Paid house insurance today so that was $1400 spent in the blink of an eye. I still have a few bills piled up so feeling a bit anxious about those.

girliefriend · 16/10/2014 11:46

£31 in Lidl, £10 of that was on a new duvet set for dd which was a bit naughty as she doesn't really need a new one but I liked it Wink this one

Have been quite good this month so far I think....

Tomos will be nsd as am working all day and the wend should be fairly quiet.

girliefriend · 16/10/2014 11:47

I got dd the owl one - she likes owls.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/10/2014 12:51

That's so lovely of you Italian Smile

confusedandemployed · 16/10/2014 14:08

Grrrrrr 3.19 in bloody Subway. Forgot my lunch and I don't even really like Subway. Also 20.00 taken out to pay cleaner tomorrow - last ever time she's coming Sad

Just meal planned up until next Monday, it's still looking like a good month for the joint account. However my car needs 4 new tyres so my personal account will have a 160.00-sized hole in it in a day or so Angry

furcoatbigknickers · 16/10/2014 14:38

confused can you use the cleaner as and when? I sometimes get one in for a few hours when im desperate need help. I could really do with her now but with xmad and 3 dcs bdays looming there is no chance.Sad

furcoatbigknickers · 16/10/2014 14:39

£15 asda on witches broom, toiletries, lunch for me and ds and chicolate.

£39 in laundretteAngrystill havent heard when my new washer coming

furcoatbigknickers · 16/10/2014 14:40

Asda have more grown up xmas duvets for teens from £10

furcoatbigknickers · 16/10/2014 14:44

Oh and that £15 inc thermsl lined pjs that were£4 from £8 for dd3s stocking

confusedandemployed · 16/10/2014 15:24

furcoat I can't really justify it now I'm going part-time. Not only will we not have the money, but I will be at home a lot more with more time to clean.
£15 for that lot is pretty good. Tomorrow I will have to pay for parking which I never usually do normally, but apart from that am hoping for an NSD.
Saturday will be £160 for the tyres, a Lidl / Aldi shop of about £30 including nappies and that's it I think - unless we cave and have a takeaway. Already have the weekend wine in Wink

SpottyTeacakes · 16/10/2014 16:13

£90 on the oven Sad going to have to borrow it from dd's savings Blush

lilacclery · 16/10/2014 16:36

Has anyone here used an aupair or know anyone that does?
My childminder currently costs us €250 per week, an aupair plus is €115 per week. I work long hours, dh works long hours. Considering this option.

Today my pay came in at €526, an hour later my balance lies at €126! And we'd no childminder to pay for this week. Credit card/Loan/Savings for Kids/Preschool Fee/Electricity/Car Tax Savings/Groceries/Cleaner if I'd the childminder my balance would be €1!

Sat must buy a pressie for my nan who's 88, advised talc & shower gel set so about €10, going out for dinner - I've paid for vouchers which cover 4 mains and starters so our friends will be paying for dessert and drinks. So net cost of that night is babysitter, will probably need diesel €20 for trip to see Nan also & lunch for myself & kiddies as we'll be out of house from 10am - 4pm €20 so €66 left plus €11 in my purse €77 have to put money towards taxman for end of month so that'll wipe me out, best get rolls and make up some lunch myself for Sat.

PeachandBlack · 16/10/2014 17:30

Thanks for reply AuditAngel, it's a really quite intense show with lots of moving about so well done to him. Hope he is enjoying it.

In keeping to this thread's spirit of thriftiness, I should mention that our tickets were on a half price deal.
