Cheapest hayfever tablets?

The daffodils outside my house are a lovely but sad reminder that the hayfever season is starting. I usually end up double-dosing on citirizine and loratadine for a month or so when its really bad. End up spending a fortune - was thinking of trying some online, but would like some recommendations of where is best to go? I don't want flour (or worse) placebos!

Another vote for fexofenadine prescribed by docs..its non drowsy I think. I also get a higher dosing fllucanzole on prescription but pay for opticrom as cheaper without prescription

Ismear vaseline on my eyes at night, wear sunglasses pretty much all the time and shut the back door much to dps annoyance when the pollen falls in the eve (around 9 I think..when I can smell it! )

Not all GP's will give more than a month at a time sadly.

I am on telefast - highest dose. Found the loratidine was Ok but not great. Definitely recommend the Vaseline up the nose (and no one will notice)

Is this cheap? Don't forget topcashback or quidco?

If you suffer badly it's probably worth discussing with your dr as they may be able to prescribe something more effective.
If you do end up with lots of prescriptions the pre payment certificate is (increasingly) becoming very worthwhile. Details here
I take 10 different drugs a month (which due to monitoring risks they will only prescribe on a 1 month basis) so mine saves me hundreds of pounds a year, but I've a friend who takes 1-2 meds a month and that also pays for itself.
I pay up front but you can split it over 10 months if needed.

Telfast and fexofenadine are the same thing and are much more effective (and non-drowsy) than loratidine/claritin (they are the same thing) but unfortunately only available on prescription in the UK.

I make do with Sainsbury's loratidine (£1.50 for 14 - it has gone up, last year I think it was only £1) which seems to be the best value in terms of easily accessible/non-internet.

Wilkos 30 for £1.99 I think

Last year I used beconase spray and it was great. This year, it's doing precisely nothing. Was talking about it yesterday at work and one of the people I work with suggested boots one a day which are 99p for 7.

Went in this morning and bought two packs as they were on buy one get one half price. I'm a bit sceptical about them tbh and think they can't be as good as piriton etc but willing to give them a go. If there's no improvement, I think it will be off to the docs for me...
