Spent £24 in boots for foundation (running low on my current Estée Lauder one so I'm switching to the no 7 one - hopefully not a bad mistake!!!), pressed powder and received the micro dermal scrub for free (saved £11).

Last minute dh asked if we would go out for lunch with some friends but I said no and invited them home instead. It meant that I had to feed them (but the stew was already in slow cooker) but that cost maybe £2-£4 compared to us spending £40 in a restaurant somewhere!! So I was fine. They brought a cake from waitrose so that was kind...

Happy rest of the weekend. I'm making nigellas ham in coke for tonight... May start making pizza dough.

I'm a roll...I think it's destressing!

Oh and great news - I have 2 cc that I pay off every month anyway. The first one came a day ago or so, and it was £292... Down from the usual £700+++!! :)

This probably means that I've spent more on the other one... And we did have big purchases last month (ds birthday dinner, party food, party bags....) but even then I'm optimistic that the overspend on the other card isn't to the tune of £400 more!!

Fingers crossed.

NSD for me.

Pizza dough made with yeast is lovely, it makes other pizzas taste very pedestrian.

Welcome newbies.

Well done on no expensive coffees ohhelp, buy a nespresso with the savings.

Should've been NSD but ended up spending 5.88 in McDonald's. Shame. I've had a really rubbish weekend though so I can't bring myself to care too much :-/

First NSD day for erm about three weeks ouch, spends have been between £1 and £10 here and there. It adds up shockingly. Have (reset - again) myself to get stuck in and made a sheet to write every daily spend on. Maybe that will sort me.
Though half term, teenagers and six year old birthday party at playgym have taken their toll too. Grugal things - did power readings and still (Amazingly after 4 kids and 1 DH at home for a week) £40 in credit, put spare tyre on when had blow out last week - though have money in pot for replacing in next month - and finally got a bread mix for 99p from Approved foods and its yummy so saved approx £5 on breadcakes for school lunches, going to make these instead.
Major effort made to freezer and panty list then meal plan led to just £47 spend at Aldi, I think I am going to go bak there. Petrol expense outweighs savings.
Personal grading means February 6/10, C-, Shortscotty must try harder

fuzzpig the Lego movie. First time as a family (DD is only 3.5) and got a family ticket so wasn't too bad. Took our own sweets Blush.

Next stop is the ebay pile upstairs. How many items can you list and actually manage to get in the post in one go? I've only done about half a dozen at once before but I want to get this lot shifted.

Hm I've made the pizza dough with yeast but it says I need to let it rise. It's a bbc good food recipe so I imagine it'll be fine. I'll report back.

I made it with Aldi strong flour 1.5kg, 75p and used 600g. So I can get 2.5x of pizza bases from this on my recipe. Each 600g gets me 6 bases according to the recipe.... So that's 15 pizzas I can get for 75p!!??

Go frugal!! Grin

Very spendy day today. £42 in M&S, £7 in poundland and almost £8 for smoothies at the fuel bar. Shock I then spent £17 on clothes for ds3 from ebay. But, they were good value and the lovely seller combined the postage (must be a Mumsnetter).

On a cheerier note dh got more than he expected for a complicated job he did and said he would give me £100 which, I suppose, leaves me in credit. He doesn't know about the ebay clothes. My Mother always said "some things are better kept to yourself" so I'm keeping this one. Grin

Just looked in fridge and found a head of yellowing, but not yellow, broccoli. Still okay for soup?

Report
MissAnnersleyismyhero · 02/03/2014 22:11

bigbirthday definitely! I even chop the stalks of broccoli up finely and add them, as long as it is a blended soup.

BigBirthdayGloom · 02/03/2014 22:13

Expensive 1st march - took dd and a friend to local leisure pool ( type with wave machine, big slides etc) then called in ikea on way home for hot dogs and fries for lunch. Whole day inc est petrol cost was £32. But it was £32 well spent!

Today we had some essential clothes shopping to do and used gift certs for new shoes for dd. Spent £20 getting me workout gear ( post baby and old stuff way too small!) still need a decent sports bra but then we are all set for the couch to 5k challenge.
Finally, used mysupermarket to check savvy buys to add in my online tesco shop, saving me £20 in the long run. Obv I meal planned too. All in, shopping cost £56.
