Fluffy oh yes, there's some tensión. He's been on thin ice before and paíd heed to the cracking noise, but he's just fallen through.

Artimas he wouldn't undertsand as his parents are still living in the 1950s Hmm

MamaTo2FabBoys · 16/06/2013 16:50

Hope your wee cat is ok Kinky. That's really sad.
NSD 8/16 today, half way there.

Raaraathenoisybaby · 16/06/2013 17:20

6.45 for parking, 3 drinks. I went to town today, returned some jeans and left. That's quite strong for me! Drinks before and after swimming for me.

That amount for me out and about is v low but seems a lot added up. My money perspectives are v odd.

I need to confess 2 hoodies for dd1 but I bought them from eBay 20 for two instead of the 32 for one new. (Same brand) I need to get the same for dd2 - she has all dd1's hand me downs but oddly this included no jumpers?

Just read the money saving expert email. Noticed the if you haven't used if for a year then flog it point - that's given me another boot up the bum Grin

Raaraathenoisybaby · 16/06/2013 17:26

Kinky so sorry about the cat. I have had 7 cats Hmm and one is still alive Grin. Dd1 is begging for a cat. I may give in at Xmas after I'm back at work and if I can budget for it. I would go for an adult cat but dd wants a kitten - ah well least I can insure it Grin

takeaway2 · 16/06/2013 18:36

Thanks kinky! So sorry to hear about your cat. Hope things go the way you want it to go....

So took the dh out to pub lunch today for Father's Day. Nearby pub, dads eat free! Result. Final cost £30 including tip for 2 adult Sunday roasts, 2 children ones, 4 desserts. It would have been £45 so that's great.

Then to garden centre to get slug pellets and other things £28. Then to aldi to do the shop (supposedly small shop but.....) £36. Ah. Dh did a shop at sainsburys on Friday but obviously didn't pick up anything useful or things we might have forgotten - which I had to do today...

Roll on new week. Going to be a spendy one as have a birthday meal on Thursday and a class meal on Saturday! How will we afford it!? Supposed to be Saving for kitchen DIY thing but at the rate it's going, it won't happen till dc2 goes to school and we don't have the extortionate nursery costs!!

AdoraBell · 16/06/2013 21:00

Sorry about the cat Kinky

Raar very well done on returning jeans and leaving.

NSD for me todayGrin, been out for a bike ride and I finally located the local equestrian centre, going back on Tues To speak to them about riding. That's one thing that is cheaper here and I want To try it before we move back.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/06/2013 21:26

Kinky that's awful. I'm so sorry to hear that.

Raaraathenoisybaby · 17/06/2013 16:59

About 10.40 today. Most of that was cat deterrent products as I have cleared the front garden and now it's a giant car loo. Dd1 asked to go to the cafe at the park so I treated her.
Found my pregnancy Doppler to eBay though Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/06/2013 18:18

4,40 in morrisons on fruit and beer

£15 on petrol but I'm self employed so that's claimed back.

Spent ages peeling 4 bulbs of garlic to freeze. I need a hobby, obviously.

northender · 17/06/2013 20:04

Adora how is your dh managing?!! I'm sure I remember tension on one of the earlier threads.
Kinky sorry to hear about your cat.
Had another fairly spendy week but am determined to get back on track.
Dh is a massive Springsteen fan and is going to 2 concerts this week. I had a ticket for one of them but have decided I haven't the time to go Sad. I was ready to write off the ticket cost, anyway dh spoke to his friend who he's going with and he needs an extra ticket so that's an unexpected bonus as we paid for it months ago.
I'm just starting an MSc connected to my work but it'll be done predominantly in my own time so I need to get super organised now so that we don't end up living off ready meals/takeaways and living in a slum Grin. Sat the dc down tonight and allocated chores to both of them. ds looked like his world was about to end, dd excited as she loves housework Hmm. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/06/2013 20:19

Start em young north. A few chores won't kill him and a mum with a MSc is no bad thing.

takeaway2 · 17/06/2013 20:49

£4 on lunch out. My first lunch out on a weekday in months. Smile

SpangleMaker · 17/06/2013 21:28

£6 yesterday for an addition to DS's Thomas & Friends collection while out for our niece's party. He is turning into a proper collector - I just hope we can channel him into some low cost hobby when he's older!

NSD today Smile

Kinky sorry to hear about your cat Hmm

AdoraBell · 17/06/2013 23:21

OH is still up his own rear end. Asked me if I know what he might have spent near on £500 on at the weekend as the bank has emailed re the transaction. As I said, he has form. Gets stressed over money/house/ business and suddenly needs to control everything. I'm now able to sit back thinking 'what a prize twat'. Only thing he doesn't take into account is just how much running around I do for him, or rather did.

Who has a problem with cats? Most effective remedy I found is 4 German shepherds peel from any citrus fruit with eucalyptus oil sprinkled on it.

I spent £3 in the green grocers then £6 in the supermarket. Glad I bought no effort food, ready roasted chicken, as we might have someone viewing the house tomorrow morning. Waiting for a call to confirm.

AdoraBell · 18/06/2013 04:06

But then he does things like explaining to DDs why the news about Nigella Lawson's husband's behaviour is outrageous and not in any way acceptable behaviour and they don't ever have to feel it's justified if a boyfriend is violent towards them.

Bloke from the estate agent hasn't called yet.

North DS will survive, mine are now proud to be learning how to use things like the washing machine and dishwasher, they still can't master the hangers though and clothes end up on the floor.

don't think I need to get anything tomorrow so it should be an NSD

ExasperatedSigh · 18/06/2013 07:28

MamaTo2 you are the NSD queen this month! Respect :) I need to be more like you, only managed my third of the month yesterday.

Helenagrace · 18/06/2013 07:34

I'm aiming for an NSD today so that will be my fifth. Sticking to two a week is working.

I've had my first cashback payment. Would never have thought of looking at cashback options without you frugaleers so here's Wine to you all!

DH has applied for a job which is very local. He's really suited to the job. Hopefully no one else in his field will want to move to the south coastGrin.

Raaraathenoisybaby · 18/06/2013 11:54

It's me with the cats! I have oranges and I can buy eucalyptus I will try that. Dm is coming to lay that weed sheet stuff then I'm getting chippings or something but fearing that will be the same!

ArtemisatBrauron · 18/06/2013 12:56

adora that's really nice Smile my DH was similarly horrified by the whole thing - we were jointly disgusted by the response of some of our male "friends" Hmm

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 18/06/2013 13:47

Adora, I call that the "Floordrobe".

Not that I leave stuff on the floor.

wheredidiputit · 18/06/2013 16:08

My dd1 has a floordrobe as well. In fact DH asked if her bedroom had been burgled this morning Grin.

Adora has your DH found out what he spend £500 on yet.

roguepixie · 18/06/2013 16:22

kinky, sorry to hear about kinkycat. i am allergic so we can't have one ... doesn't stop DS pestering for a dog though. Will give in one day soon.

NSD yesterday. Wasn't going to be a NSD today but think I can push it to be one, so that's good. Smile

DH scuppering my plans though - he's started a new job which involves lot sof travel however, the company have waited 'til today to advise him to get two passports (apparently this can be done with supporting letter) so that he can travel and obtain visa's at the same time!!! Seeing as he's travelling guess who gets to sort that out??? Hmm Confused

On another note...DS does not have a floordrobe, he has a chairdrobe or, at a push, a piano stooldrobe Smile

Adora - hope the estate agent rang and you have viewings happening. Didi your DH find out where £500 went?

Raaraathenoisybaby · 18/06/2013 16:37

I'm in a bit of a quandary about moving house. I rent a 3 bed atm with a dining room that I use as a playroom. Really this is impractical as there is only a breakfast bar type thing in the kitchen to eat at. There's only the dds and I but I struggle with visitors! I have been offered a house by a friend who is leaving it which is 100 a month cheaper but 2.5 bed. It has no dining room but a huge kitchen/diner/lounge. I have always liked this house but its not in the right place for the school I want. I need to save big style for a deposit to buy a house. Just had horrid quite from ifa. I've been looking at cheaper houses on right move and I could rent something else but again lose the good school. I could wait until dd is at school and lose 3 grand toward my deposit. Plus the schools are better out of the city where the houses are cheaper.....I go around in circles with this.......
But also I have friends with dc starting school when dd1 does who want up share after school care with me which would cut out a childminder.....
But also where I am now involves the least amount of driving as its really central. Anywhere else (except for the friends house) will mean more petrol.

Aaargh!

MamaTo2FabBoys · 18/06/2013 17:27

Thanks ExasperatedSigh. My ex is being a pain with maintenance at the moment so iv been cutting down my spending by staying away from the shops as much as poss. Had a nsd yesterday so 9/16 but spent a few £'s today on milk and lunch for the little one.

AdoraBell · 18/06/2013 17:27

Yep, it was those bloody expensive jackets and fleeces he bought for DDs after declaring us practically bankrupt and telling me he is taking control of all spending. See, so far up his own rear end he couldn't see what he was signing. I wouldn't have spent anywhere near that much. He's being more human today. Estate agent did call to confirm but this morning the people decided to look at offices and might get here later, or maybe tomorrow.

The floordrobe was overflowing this morning so I've it into a it'sintheblacksackrobe.

I can hear OH on the phone, think the estate agent is bringing the people around 5.30.
