Enjoy your evening Rogue!

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/01/2013 18:20

It was pecorino I couldn't think of it. Never tried the other one. Parmesan is expensive.

Which survey sites do John Lewis vouchers?

AdoraBell · 10/01/2013 18:45

Storm no, we're in Chile - with a heat wave. I actually wanted curry for dinner last night but that would have meant lighting the hob and it was stil 34C at 9pm. We had salad with cold meat and breadGrin

I'm feeling rather Envy at that Debenhams fish & chips offer.

I've just had a drink in the air conditioned coffee shop, will fess up my spending a bit later.

jenduck · 10/01/2013 18:53

I'll buy a second cuppa Adora and send you the meal over Grin

Rogue 30 years Shock. Well done you!

Back from Tesco, they didn't have any childproof scissors, so I borrowed some from my Dsis, but I did grab a few bargains Blush. Got grapes, apples, bananas, 2 x finest cured ham, 2 x finest outdoor reared bacon, 2 x farmhouse bread, 18 fr eggs & milk all for £11.06. So am totally stocked up on everything now, should be OK even if snowed in (if oven door is fixed, that is) Smile

1stMrsFrugal · 10/01/2013 20:38

Valued Opinions do John Lewis vouchers. I get quite lot of surveys from them too, but I do find they generally take longer than they say they will.

AdoraBell · 10/01/2013 20:59

Aw, Thanks Jenduck you're a palGrin

Got me ice-creamGrin, plus Fruit, salad, Fruit juice - lot's- roast chicken, frozen salmón, chocolate Blush, Fruit turnover type pastries and kitchen towel-£45 plus £1.20 for a coffee and glass of water.

My eléctrica has just gone off, no idea why but I'm hoping it comes back on soon because of the freezers

roguepixie · 10/01/2013 23:28

jenduck, I was a child when I met him, a mere child, I tell you Grin

Thought so rogue Wink

Went to Tesco again this morning Blush to get printer cartridges to print off my BHS vouchers. Got the Tesco equivalent, which were on 3 for 2, so instead of costing £20 for one set it cost me £34 for 3, which is a great saving! However, my printer is now refusing to work! Have done a test page, so I know I've installed the cartridge properly, it just will not print from my laptop (wireless connection) Hmm. Anyway, at least that saves me the cost of 2 hot drinks at BHS, plus the soft play nearer to home is cheaper as if DS2 falls asleep (he normally does as we go there when it would be his naptime), they don't charge me for him. Still miffed, I have spent all morning on this bloody printer & it will not work [grr].

So, this afternoon will be max of £4 entry to soft play if DS2 stays awake, plus about £2 on a (much-needed) coffee for me. Oh, and need to buy some new Tassimo pods, so about £20 on that (but will be £35 worth of pods as have a new owner code & will spend £35+ to get free delivery).

jenduck · 11/01/2013 11:24

Oh yes, and my competition spree appears to be paying off - I received a pair of Shrek ears in the post this morning (no note, so I assume it's a prize and not someone being mean!). Not quite £10k or a new car, but getting there, I feel...

Kahlua4me · 11/01/2013 11:45

Am just about to go food shopping. We have sainsburys, morrisons, waitrose, and lido near us. Which one is best/cheapest?

Do you do all your shopping in one shop or buy bits from all of them?

stormforce10 · 11/01/2013 14:43

Just had to buy worming tablets and flea drops for the cat. £10. she wont even appreciate it either and I'll get scratched trying to dose her - humph.

However very proud of myself as went into co-op and came out with ONLY tablets and drops. I resisted everything else :) Still on 6 NSD so far this month. am not even going to try for them at the weekend but will aim for a couple more next week.

Kahlua I don't shop at any of those (prefer Aldi) but mum uses morrisons and says they're very good value especially for meat

stormforce10 · 11/01/2013 14:45

Re surveys I do valued opinons and one poll. One poll pay out at £40 and it takes ages to get there but I made £80 on it last year and i'm up to £14.40 at the moment. Not going to make my fortune but £40 is enough to be worth having when it comes in. I've got £9.75 on valued opinions so far so will hopefuly get a voucher with my next survey. I usually get M&S ones and treat us to their dine in for £10 meals

stormforce10 · 11/01/2013 14:48

PS if anyone wants to join one poll and feels like being generous to me please pm me your email address I will give it to onepoll and if you join I will get a 50p referral fee. Sorry if that's very cheeky hope no one minds

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/01/2013 15:50

NSD here.

Online human pharmiacies do pet medications too, plus you can get cashback.

CremeEggThief · 11/01/2013 16:54

Hope you enjoyed your anniversary meal, rogue. Congrats on reaching 30 years :o.

Spent roughly £20 today- on shopping, pre-swimming/ after-school snack in a cafe (not enough time to go home in between) and bus fares for DS and I. Might manage an almost NSD tomorrow, apart from a loaf of bread.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend :).

NUFC69 · 11/01/2013 17:17

Two very spendy days here - £124.00 in Costco yesterday, but that included meat and fish for 22 meals for both of us, so not too bad really. Also things like butter, cheese, yoghurt, juice etc. DH went to the fruiterers for me this morning and that was £15 on fruit and veg for the weekend. List said one courgette, but he came back with one aubergine (can't he read?), so one of us will have to go again tomorrow and no doubt that means that we'll buy something that is not "on the list"!

Helenagrace · 11/01/2013 17:25

Grrrrr having a stressy day here regarding the house we own up north. Trying to remortgage onto a but to let mortgage and we've been turned down by every lender so far because we aren't buying another house! It's crazy. We're renting because we've relocated and don't know the area we've moved to but apparently it's being flagged as a sign of fraudShock.

Currently we're paying rent AND mortgage.

HearMyRoar · 11/01/2013 19:15

Spent £4 on a sandwich for lunch and some bread. Hoping to get a load of stuff on eBay this weekend.

BoffinMum · 11/01/2013 19:17

My bastard dishwasher has gawn and died. £425 for a replacement (semi-integrated).Shock

AdoraBell · 11/01/2013 19:51

My power came back on after 3 hours last night so I didn't lose my freezer contentsGrin

Today's spends

Roads £1.20
Lunch x3 £15- it's my birthday and didn't feel like staying home DD1 has just treated me to a pot of frozen yoghurtGrin
Supermarket £15- socks, nix and belts for DD1
I bought a pair of shoes too, but that was with a gift card, and in the sale.

The weekend should be NSDs and I should be able to stretch that through Monday too.

Sorry about your dishwasher Boffin

Well done on those Shreck ears Jenduck

Leilandri · 11/01/2013 20:38

Storm Well done to your friend for taking the first step, and to you for all your support to her.
Rogue Belated Happy Anniversary
Adora Happy Birthday Flowers

Spent £14.86 in morrisons on top-up shop (£5 of that was for a shoe rack), so won't have to go shopping over weekend with DS's in tow :)

Making a trifle tomorrow from leftover pain-au-chocolats that have gone stale, a packet of jelly that I found lurking in the cupboard, and a tin of Birds custard dated BB March 2009!! Blush That custard is 3 months older that DS1!! Going to use dream topping instead of whipped cream, so a whole tasty pud for nothing. I would've thrown away the pains and the custard before this thread.

northender · 11/01/2013 21:06

£2.50 spent on lunch at work for dh and that's all today.

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 11/01/2013 21:54

I've had three NSDs in a row, Weds-Fri Smile. However tomorrow won't be the same, as I'm doing my Aldi food shop and need to put petrol in the car. Bummer.

jenduck · 12/01/2013 09:00

Morning! Quite a spendy day in the end yesterday Blush On top of the initial Tesco spend, there was the cost of soft play (£2 entry for DS1, didn't charge for DS2 even though he played, £2.25 coffee) and then £17ish on some pods from Tassimo - but would have been £37 as had a £20 code

Mum2Fergus · 12/01/2013 12:27

Afternoon all...first post since Sun, mare getting back into a routine this week! Anyho, £50 budget this week has lasted well, mostly because we managed to eat from freezer every meal. Top up shop today however think I will eat into next week budget to let me overstock a bit just incase the weather is as bad as predicted. Added bonus of £35 work expenses being repaid that Id forgotten about Smile all in all, definitely one of my cheapest Dec/Jan ever! Aim to still be in credit come payday on 20th.
