Hi, I think maybe this is me being paranoid but I have had some symptoms for 3 weeks; scratchy sore throat & blocked nose mainly, st the start not feel that fatigued with it all but started testing after my daughter tested positive (she also had cough, and full on cold - didn't test her until a a few days in as her sister had just had a non covid cold & dd felt well enough to go into college; she was feeling unwell in waves but the first covid test day3-4 approx was neg. But by a week she just wasn't turning a corner is this was just a cold so tested and a instant positive! (3 days later it was negative & better a week later)

Meanwhile I still have an on/off sore throat & fatigue so been testing every few days-neg. But I have been feeling worse in the last 5 days - though I also have a UTI. But feel like I have a cold & sore throat , achy & hugely fatigued ; tested daily (OK that probably over the top but I have had medical app re UTI plus have a guest staying this week at our house) and all negative.

I just wonder if I had covid a few weeks ago, when dd had it and I'm suffering with non infective symptoms. I wish I could just feel better.

We have an extremely vulnerable elderly family member who can be hospitalised by a cold and has been told by his respiratory team that he would not survive COVID, so yes, we are still testing, thank you very much.

I've never, to my knowledge, had it although DH and DS both have. Had symptoms without a temperature before tests were available and never tested positive with symptoms after.

Why is it such a big deal to other people when someone tests for Covid? If you don’t want to then don’t but if someone else wants to or has to test then just leave them to it. We have to test because my MIL is going through treatment for cancer. I can’t see what this person said anymore but I’m assuming it’s the usual ‘WhY aRe PeOpLe StIlL tEsTiNg?’

Exactly, @LLefmry - we test because, for us, it's 100% the right thing to do, and I have no idea why other people have a problem with it!

Can’t see the deleted posts but agree I test because I need to. Also my family test if they are unwell just in case!
