Coaches and hotels

Someone I knew went away and used a coach with no windows on and a hotel which is newly built that has no windows. Could it be likely they caught covid from the coach or hotel? For 2 years they have always wore a mask and not used a coach or hotel.

No, that’s not what the government say at all. You still have to stay home if you test positive Confused

Fortunately, it’s a very mild illness for many.

Hellocatshome · 29/01/2022 14:53

I know the government said you can come in with covid if you have been vaccinated

Where do you live because if its England the government have absolutely not said that at all!

KindergartenKop · 29/01/2022 14:54

Nobody ever said you could wander around with covid but the nature of Omicron means that people don't always realise they have it (and a few do but don't care).

Where there are people, there are illnesses. I have covid right now. I probably caught it at work. Most vaccinated people get through it with no problems, so try not to worry so much.

SavageBeauty73 · 29/01/2022 14:56

The government absolutely doesn't say go to work with covid! You have to isolate!

This is a crazy post. I've had to commute for the last few years. I had covid last week; you can catch it anywhere.

HesterShaw1 · 29/01/2022 14:59

The lack of understanding out there still is the scariest thing.

OP you can catch covid anywhere. No one is pretending it has gone away.

This is a very bizarre thread. It is a virus, it spreads, that is all there is to it.

Is it you can go out if vaccinated but come into contact with someone who is positive? These rules are confusing!

I need to complain to HR about people coming in with a fever.

Yes close contacts who are vaccinated or under 18 don't have to isolate, but do daily LFT.
@Hellocatshome It's cos Boris lifted restrictions and you think it is safe but it's far from safe.
Life isn't 'safe'. Never has been. Never will.

Thats not what you said though you said the government said you could go to work if positive which they havent. I can't work out if you are so anxious you are not thinking straight or deliberately being misleading such as with the windowless coach that turned out to have windows.

I was reading this thread imagining a coach and hotel with gaping holes where the windows should be; thinking never mind covid, I'd be more worried about freezing to death at this time of the year! It was only halfway down I realised we're talking some ultra-modern, post-window alternatively ventilated design!

EasterIssland · 29/01/2022 20:25

Where are you trying to get ? Where did the caught the virus ? God knows
Or are you trying to bash the government for removing the measurements ?

If I went on a coach for hours I’d wear a ffp2. I don’t need the government to tell me that I must.

countrylady2 · 29/01/2022 20:54

@EasterIssland I suppose if the government have removed measures we have do what's right for ourselves.

I agree FFP2 would have been best to wear.
