I have booked both my dc in to have their first Covid jabs this coming week.
I know I am being irrational in my thinking and for context I do have severe health anxiety (which I am seeing a professional about) but I am getting so very nervous about my 13 and 16 year old getting their jabs this week.
16 year old ds had Covid end of October and was fine with it, I totally appreciate that he may not have been.
It took me an age to get my jabs (first one made me feel so rough and I still feel off from time to time) but now the worry has transferred to concern about side effects after the jab in my dc.
They are more than happy to have the jabs (I don’t mention my worry to them at all, I keep that to myself) and I know they need them for when they return to school in Jan.
I just need to hear from people who’s dc have been fine after their jabs.

One of my teens had Covid last winter. He had his jab at school (15).

The other (15) had Covid, end of Sept, but couldn't have the jab in school as it wasn't 3 months.
I'm still debating whether to wait a bit re the vaccination.

My 14 year old was absolutely fine after his

DS13 had his first in October. He didn't even bat an eyelid, no symptoms afterwards other than a bit of an achey arm. He can have his second now but I can't get him an appointment until the 31st Jan and it's 9 miles away, so just going to wait for the school vaccine programme to do it.
