Myself, DH, DS and DD arrived at in-laws yesterday for Christmas. We'd all taken LFTs before we came, all negative.
Since she went to bed tonight, DD (2) has started coughing and seems very snotty all of a sudden. She's asleep but I will do a test on her when she gets up in the morning. She has potentially had contact with someone with covid at the start of the week at nursery so I think we are more aware of the risk that she could have covid but clearly hope that not to be the case.
Talking to my FIL this evening, I mentioned DD coughing and he said that if she does test positive then we'd all need to leave and go home.
My question is - do we need to? Given that we have already all spent a day together in the house already, haven't we already spread any potential germs around? Obviously it's his house and if he feels that strongly about it, we'd have to leave, but I'm curious what others think the "right" answer would be in this situation?
