Thank you for everything you do.

It is much appreciated.

Have a good break (if you can) and recharge your batteries.

Take care x

Since this is the coronavirus board- that should be - everything you have done since the start of the pandemic.

And good luck with everything you will be facing in the days/weeks/ months ahead.

🥰 thank you. Means a lot. It's been a bit of a year ! I'm in school today trying to figure out how we can get our windows to open a bit more. Nice man from council is not sure at the moment - unless we take the glass out 😂

Thank you - and a very merry Christmas to you too! Xmas Smile

herecomesthsun · 23/12/2021 12:59

It's a pleasure.

I have had wonderful care from our overstretched GPs and my child has had great care from the local Regional centre for his condition.

All masked up & etc.

And my kids' teachers have been wonderful (they know I think this Grin)

Thank you from me, as well - what a lovely thread, OP!

I hope you manage to stay safe and have a good Christmas with your loved ones, and even, maybe, catch a bit of a rest!

Thank you, although I've been off sick since November so I don't feel like I've done enough. Back in on Boxing Day though. Smile I hope you have a lovely Christmas too

crazycatgal · 23/12/2021 13:02

Thank you! I have my first few greys due to teaching during the pandemic. 😁

Have a lovely Christmas.

Hamjamwich · 23/12/2021 13:05

Too DS for his second jab yesterday. There was only one vaccinator. The GP on duty was leaving to go home, saw the queue and signed back on again. Had been working from.8am. Stayed for the 5-8pm also . Kindness 🥰

Riapia · 23/12/2021 13:13

Also police, fire brigade, supermarket staff, the pharmacy, postie, bin men .
Anybody I’ve not mentioned, those as well, of course.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 23/12/2021 13:16

Thanks from trainee FE teacher here. Doing my best to help students weather the storm. Managed to dodge catching it soo far… despite being awash with it. Roll on 2022.

Tryagainplease · 23/12/2021 13:23

@Riapia

Also police, fire brigade, supermarket staff, the pharmacy, postie, bin men . Anybody I’ve not mentioned, those as well, of course.
And nursery staff
Kite22 · 23/12/2021 13:27

Thank you, but can I also add all the others that work in hospitals and GPs and schools (cleaners, porters, maintenance team, cooks, Receptionists, Practice Managers)
and
emergency services, lorry drivers, supermarket workers, chemists,
and
those who have kept utilities, water, broadband running
and
childcare providers, carers (booth who go to people's homes and who work in care homes)
and
anyone else who isn't in the public eye, who has just kept going

Thank you all

rainrainraincamedowndowndown · 23/12/2021 13:32

Yes, thank you everyone who are doing great job during this uncertain times.
Hope everyone has lovely Christmas and new year.

1concernedmummy · 23/12/2021 13:50

Thank you nursery workers too. Getting sneezed on by toddlers during a pandemic whilst others get to work from home.

And doing it for shockingly low wages too.

JanglyBeads · 23/12/2021 14:02

Thanks OP.

I’m in a school, but the biggest thanks go to the appalling treated and overworked HCPs.
🌺 s don’t exactly cut it for them. Thank you.

herecomesthsun · 23/12/2021 14:30

I have mostly been very impressed by people's kindness to each other during the pandemic.

I really agree re the delivery guys as well. Parcel delivery has kept the presents delivered this Christmas even when we had covid in the house, and I was more comfortable sending presents from on line than plague presents from home.

Our hospital pharmacy delivered my son's meds to the door to make sure he would have them all through the Christmas holiday without interruption.

And our village greengrocer set up a box delivery service, which has been wonderful.

I’m a primary teacher so thank you.

From me, a huge thanks to childcare workers. Never once have DD1’s nursery not picked her up/cuddled her/cleaned her or helped her get changed when needed. They’ve been coughed and sneezed on, are paid dreadfully and yet have made her feel so well cared for.

supersonicginandtonic · 23/12/2021 15:43

Can I say thank you to my colleagues in the substance misuse team with me, we've carried each other through this awful time, supporting some of the most vulnerable in society. It's been a rough 2 years but we've managed.

Siuan · 23/12/2021 16:30

My eldest DS is a teacher. Currently visiting me and being thoroughly spoiled. It's been a tough year for teachers.

Thanks to the fantastic staff who looked after me in hospital this year.

I am also very grateful to delivery drivers from Tesco and all the others who enabled me to shop while I was shielding.

Doublevodka · 23/12/2021 16:36

Thank you OP. I’m a NHS nurse, I have tested positive today, also had Covid in 2020. I was feeling very sorry for myself today, this post has made me very emotional, but also smile.
