Is there a link between reaction to the vaccine and how bad you get the virus?

The question is really all in the title.

I've tried to Google but nothing came up so asking mumsnet... based on your experience if you reacted badly to the vaccine - how severe were your symptoms when you got the virus?

And the opposite, if you had no reaction to the vaccine how severe were your symptoms?

I'm double jabbed and just got a positive PCR result on Tuesday and want to see if there is a way to predict how this may play out.

Thanks

Had mild Covid in March 2020 - a day or so of headache and low-grade fever, a few days of feeling tired and no appetite, burning nose and face flushes, lost smell and taste on day 7 but appetite came back then. Headache after first AZ, nothing after second, nothing after Pfizer except a sore arm. DH had moderately bad Covid in March 2020 - 2-3 weeks of being properly ill, fever, sweats, aches, cough, no appetite, gastric symptoms followed by post-viral pleurisy - and has reacted more severely to each Pfizer jab. After the booster he had 36 of hours of 'rapid Covid', whizzing through the symptoms one after the other.

No reaction at all to first two AZ jabs.

Got covid and was horrendous, sats in mid 80s, in bed for 10 days straight. Really awful. Felt bad for a good 4 weeks.

Had my booster on day 42 after covid, within the guidelines and it was like I had it all over again for 24 hours. Back into bed. Then totally lifted after almost 24 hours to the minute like nothing had happened.

Thanks for all your experiences. I hope you're all on the road to recovery.

I'm on day 5 and lost my taste yesterday, have a heavy head but just taking 1 paracetamol, only coughing a few times a day though. Still working from home but not that productive in the afternoon - especially with 2 kids off school with covid as well.

I had covid quite badly (but not hospital.level) in march/April 2020 - was in bed 2 weeks with a kind of 'flu', struggling to breathe properly, night sweats, aches the lot.

I reacted badly to both Pfizer jabs and had my moderna booster yesterday and am in bed today following a night of chills, fever, headache, vomitting, aches and pains etc...

So yes, I think those that get unpleasant covid symptoms also don't react well to the vaccines.
