Exemptions from being vaccinated and tested

Has anyone else heard about this?
NHS worker here and we have been being briefed on this for the past 2 weeks, and had additional training for the roll out of exemptions which was due to be launched this week, however I think there is a delay to the roll out. I have internal links etc but there doesn't seem to be anything on the gov.uk or the nhs website about this.

Basically this is going to be rolled out that if you are medically advised not to get the vaccine and have an issue that means you cant be tested then you can get the same covid pass as people who are vaccinated.

Interested to know if anyone else has had briefings about this in work?

@whymewhyme

Bit random but help me out.....if your a carer and had one vaccine ( had to choose job or jab) get pregnant before the 2nd jab....can you self exempt? And not have the second or do they have to have it even though they are pregnant because they work in care?
If you wish to be considered as exempt you will need to phone 119 and request the form to be sent to you. You will then give the form to your doctor/clinician/midwife and they will sign it. Pregnancy is considered a valid reason to request an exemption.

itsgrand Well in the absence of Covid passes then yes when you go into an indoor venue and are in proximity to strangers for more than a limited amount of time then you accept that risk that a minority may not be vaccinated. However if it is your cleaner or Nanny then of course it is not pointless to reduce your risk by asking them to vaccinate. And as I say if cases rise and Covid passes deemed necessary then I think it is fair to exclude people who will expose others to an increased risk of infection because of their personal decision.

Reducing your risk of being infected by whatever means are available is not pointless.

I know my hairdresser is vaccinated
I didn't ask - she told me. We've known each other for many years anyway.

That's a choice I can make. There's a fervent anti vaxx hairdresser not far from me who's had a lot of news exposure. I wouldn't patronise her salon if it were the last one on earth. She won't use PPE either.

That's a choice anyone can make if they are aware of the situation.
