Is this correct re. Infection before & after vaccine?

My friend told me that she has noticed that a couple of friends who had a mild COVID the first time, then had the vaccine, then had COVID a second time have been really bad the second time.
I only know one family who has COVID twice and they weren't vaccinated and it was mild to moderate for all of them the two times.
Does anyone know people who had COVID then vaccine then 2nd COVID infection? Is there any truth to what she's saying? (She's vaccinated and never had COVID so she was just mentioning what she noticed and wasn't vaccine bashing).

They say here that Delta is no more severe than Alpha and most likely not much more contagious.

He doesn't mention the terms alpha or delta in that video and at no point compares between different variants Hmm

Oh. I must have posted the wrong video then.

Are there 3 people in this or just him? The video I meant to post has 3 people on it.

I’ll try to post the right one later 🥴

That's not what the current hospitalisation and death stats are showing at all - the vaccines are offering a significant level of protection against serious illness (and death).

It's also very unlucky for someone who has already had covid and is fully vaccinated to get more seriously ill afterwards - they should already have a good level of antibodies from having been infected before, and of course from the vaccination. Re-infections are still rare so statistically it's surprising someone would know several people in this situation.

@Mybalconyiscracking

Are you looking for a reason not to have the vaccination OP?
I had the vaccine as soon as it became available to me in March (I have vulnerable kids). And I just finished my isolation because my idiot ex who is not vaccinated, passed it on to our kids then to me. I was already suffering from a bad cold that was dragging on because I didn't get the chance to rest and was caring for my boys, but was testing negative for 9 days. On day 12 (but day 4 from being exposed through my kids) I tested positive for COVID. Although COVID hit me when I was already sick and exhausted, I had very mild symptoms for 2 days, so very thankful I was vaccinated!

This is just pure scientific curiosity.
