Just curious how the rollout is going. We've not heard anything in schools local to me, but it does seem to have started in some parts of the country.

We have had a letter saying it will be done on 6th October the same day as the Nasal Flu thingy but no information or consent forms yet.

ApplesAreTheBaneOfMyLife · 20/09/2021 22:22

Yes. My children are having them done at school on Friday.

jackstini · 20/09/2021 22:33

We had email and consent forms today, but no date yet - just 'within next 8 weeks'

Tailendofsummer · 20/09/2021 22:39

Ds had his today. I'm not sure which "country" you're referring when you ask about roll out! In Scotland this age group can go, as of today, to a drop in centre.

ColettesEarrings · 20/09/2021 22:48

One of mine is being done next Monday, the other next Thurs! It's rattling ahead here.

BlueMoons90 · 20/09/2021 22:50

My DS is 15 and will be having his next week

MLMbotsno · 20/09/2021 22:58

I've just completed the online permission for my son to have his next week.
They are doing the flu vaccine programme the same time.

MrsBlondie · 20/09/2021 23:00

Happening next week here although my son isn't having it.

Billandbob · 20/09/2021 23:21

Waiting to hear.

thereinmadnesslies · 20/09/2021 23:25

Jabs at my DC’s school in Hertfordshire on Friday

Sonarl · 20/09/2021 23:54

Wednesday here.

chalkyc2 · 21/09/2021 03:45

Does anyone know how long a child would have to wait after actually having covid for the vaccination in this age group? Is it 28 days from positive test?

Sockwomble · 21/09/2021 07:15

Permission letters have gone out to some schools but not ds's.

Ds is CV but has not been offered a vaccine yet because GP wasn't doing them and we have been told we have to wait for the school programme. So much for going by most at risk first.

Dollygirl2008 · 21/09/2021 07:16

Yes - being done Thursday

cheeseismydownfall · 21/09/2021 07:16

Yes - consent form went live yesterday for Monday.

I would like to know this too please if anyone has any information.

Not heard anything from ds’s school yet (England)

Runnerduck34 · 24/09/2021 09:48

Heard nothing yet, we are in Kent

ApplesAreTheBaneOfMyLife · 24/09/2021 11:39

You do have to wait 28 days after having tested positive to have the vaccine. It was in a leaflet from public health England that we were sent from school. Will see if I can find a link (can’t do it from my school email ).

BunsyGirl · 24/09/2021 12:47

4 October for my DS’ school in Essex.

katalex · 24/09/2021 16:01

No news from our school either (Kent)>

pontypridd · 24/09/2021 16:49

I wonder if it’s still going to happen.

pontypridd · 24/09/2021 16:51

They have been taken to court over this and no decision has been made yet. Maybe that’s what they’re waiting for. I think the decision is due on 28th.

KingsleyShacklebolt · 24/09/2021 16:58

In Scotland we are doing things differently as per usual, drop-in centres are currently open for 12-15 year olds to attend, then they will send appointments for vaccination centres in the post, then after that they'll perhaps do a "mop up" of children who have missed the first two opportunities by taking vaccines into school.

My 13 year old had the jab on Wednesday.

cheeseAnd · 24/09/2021 17:00

I declined for my 12 and 14 year olds we were told it would be done possibly second week of October (a London borough)
