And you are unvaccinated? I’m going through an internal battle to prepare myself to go get this vaccine but in the meantime I just need to know what getting delta while unvaccinated is like? I suffer from anxiety and something which someone said yesterday has resulted in me having panic attacks after almost 18 months- is it really bad? Did you end up in the hospital? I’m 40 and no known underlying issues

Your anxiety is crippling you and is not in proportion to the risk. You're more likely to die on the drive to get the vaccine than from the vaccine. Every medicine has side effects, often including rare, serious ones. The only difference here is it's splashed all over the media. Please seek help.

I was really anxious and had several panic attacks on the way to get my vacs it was hard not to turn around and go back home. Am so happy I managed to push through the anxiety and get it done just had 2nd one yesterday and I was alot more settled about getting it. The relief of having it over and done with is great.

Get the jab. I’ve had Covid 10 days (not sure what strain but most likely delta by symptoms). It’s been awful. I’m double jabbed too. Taken a step backwards today on day 10 and I just want to get better. I would have been absolutely petrified if I wasn’t double jabbed. Why risk it?

I had symptoms the day I was to get my first vaccine. Tested positive 2 days later and spent 10 days feeling like I'd been hit by a truck.
Vomiting and fever, shakes, weird chest pain, horrible burning sensations and the feeling of illness that is unlike any other I've experienced.
I'm on day 11 now and I feel so tired just doing the bare minimum I have no idea how I am going to manage a full shift on Monday at work.
I am going to get my vaccines as soon as I am well enough.
@VaccineAnxiety AZ is the one that kills people with blood clots, Pfizer is safer. Hmm
That isn't correct. They are similar, in fact. And very, very low numbers.

Do you work from home? The way you worded that makes it seem like you have to go into a place of work on Monday. But if you have covid how is that possible? I'm confused. You shouldn't be going anywhere!

VaccineAnxiety · 25/07/2021 00:11

@misssunshine4040 I’m really sorry to hear that and hoping that you will start getting stronger soon- as the pp pointed out, are you sure you should be going to work? Are you strong enough? I’m sure your work would want you fully better before coming in?

@misssunshine4040 also if you were called in for your first vaccine now I’m assuming you are much younger than me? Hope you have someone to look after you?

We had covid in the first wave. DH was hospitalised. It was a tough time, I was the one who should have been hit hardest (asthmatic) DH, no underlying health conditions. For me, it was a mild illness.
I'm going to be completely honest with you now, I buried my best friend last week. He had a blood clot after his second vaccine. I don't think it's related. But, I panicked about having my second. I'm nearly at the 4 week point now and I'm ok.
I work in a primary school. We broke up on Thursday, we had three bubbles pop in the week before. All children. All the teachers who have been vaccinated are fine!

Titsywoo · 25/07/2021 00:51

Why do people worry about long term effects with vaccines? If vaccines (very rarely) cause issues they are in the first few weeks as the vaccine itself does not stay in the body long.

VaccineAnxiety · 25/07/2021 11:15

@Titsywoo are we sure this is the same for MRNA ones?
