Have you done a test?

It is possible to get Covid twice but it’s incredibly rare.

Queenie6655 · 18/04/2021 20:06

No test yet
Tomorrow

Just worrying now 😢😢

Gosh just hope not
Next jab in few weeks

Helenluvsrob · 18/04/2021 20:28

Of course it’s possible. Get tested. My mate has had 2-3 teens and her elderly fully vaccinated parent test positive recently

Queenie6655 · 18/04/2021 22:37

My gosh
Of course it's likely

Scary that this can happen again 😢😢

Seems very unlikely. Are you 90 post positive test in Jan? As you can test positive again from your old infection. But guessing you should be just about clear.

Do you have a cold or anything that could alter your taste? Had your taste come fully back if you lost it first time?

I had covid in December & have had two horrible illness since. Both left me in bed with a hacking cough & fever. Far more poorly than with covid actually. But multiple negative tests so I did just pick up a couple nasty winter bugs!

But if it is, the jab should be a major help in stopping you getting very poorly.

ssd · 18/04/2021 23:18

Hope your ok op

CirqueDeMorgue · 18/04/2021 23:18

Of course it's possible but so is having a virus that isn't covid?

Queenie6655 · 19/04/2021 00:04

Thank you all about 3.5 months since my positive covid test

Maybe just run down
Sore throat etc

Will be ok witb rest

Definitely get a test done. It is possible. I know someone who has had it twice and you're not effectively protected by one jab.

But, you should get it a lot milder 🤞

eurochick · 19/04/2021 14:15

You should obviously take a test but I would guess you have a cold. Other viruses are still circulating.

Queenie6655 · 19/04/2021 15:10

I have read (on here I think) that some women experience covid symptoms again around the time of their period after they’ve had covid previously. Although if you haven’t noticed anything in Feb and March this is unlikely I guess.

Girlmama3 · 19/04/2021 15:53

@JenerationH Let's all do that when we have covid symptoms and see how that goes 🤷‍♀️

Queenie6655 · 19/04/2021 15:57

Ffs
Course I need to test
I am a carer for an 85 year old
Give me strength

I have not just gone out willy nilly to test when I feel like it
So jog on

Seems unlikely if you have had Covid-19 plus first dose vaccine but absolutely right to test. Fingers crossed.

Wow - how worrying! You already had covid, the vaccine and now you are feeling ill again! Poor you - I hope you get the result soon.

rosie39forever · 19/04/2021 16:49

As pp has said very unlikely to be covid with previously having it along with vaccine, there are quite a few cough and sneezy bugs about at the moment hopefully that's what you have. You're doing the right thing getting tested 🤞for you.

Tootsey11 · 19/04/2021 17:33

Op, what I have found with covid is that after previous infection if you get run down weeks or months later, you can get a resurgence of your original symptoms. That's if you had a moderate case the first time. You mentioned you have been run down, this can bring back some of those issues. I know a number of people were this is the case including myself. I've also had covid twice with 6 months in between. Gave it to our kitten the second time.

Queenie6655 · 19/04/2021 17:55

Thanks all

Please god all will be fine

Feels eirly similar to my jan symptoms now with a painful chest too

Good response! Some people really do just like to act as if covid doesn't matter.

Do you suffer hay fever? That can cause the same symptoms and the pollen count is high currently. If your test of negative I'd try antihistamines and see if that helps.
