For me swimming. We love swimming and it’s a good activity for a rainy
Day.

Although we are going into spring to will be a bit easier to do fun activities outside.

God, so much. Mainly having big family get togethers and playdates with friends.

Also - travelling the world staying in lovely hotels having adventures. Days out to zoos and theme parks. Bowling, cinema, meals out.

We had such a full life before this. I'm absolutely sick of being at home.

Heartofgoldmumof2 · 20/02/2021 11:32

Yes we did a lot. I used to get a mild level of anxiety if I didn’t have an activity arranged or a Plan for the day with my 2 kiddies. I used to dread the idea of staying in the house all day with nothing planned. But lockdown has taught we can do that and make our own fun. My 2 kiddies have bonded so much and are good at starting their own role play games. I see that more now.

I have a baby so, Zoos, farms, little theme parks, swimming, baby groups, soft play. Cafes. The beach! Just little things we took for granted for really!!

CaptainMerica · 20/02/2021 11:47

Swimming is the main thing for me too. Our local pools didn't reopen for kids in the summer (competent lane swimmers only) so it has been nearly a year, and we all really miss it.

SonnetForSpring · 20/02/2021 11:48

Theme parks, visiting other cities. Generally exploring :)

ChocOrange1 · 20/02/2021 11:49

Also swimming. I was pregnant in Winter last year and couldn't fit into my costume, so I have been swimming in over a year. I would love to take my baby, and hope my 4 year old hasn't forgotten it all.

Also, visiting family members of course, especially my grandparents who live a few hours away so we can't even meet for a walk at the moment

Thebookswereherfriends · 20/02/2021 11:55

Swimming and visiting relatives. My dd loves her swimming. We all want to be able to visit the relatives we’ve only seen on a screen for months.
I also just want to visit somewhere a distance away from our home!

Powerof4 · 20/02/2021 11:55

Swimming! We have so much fun together in the pool, I’ve really missed it. And lunch in a cafe.

Angel2702 · 20/02/2021 11:56

Swimming. My youngest was just able to start using the main pool, I don’t even know if she will be able to swim 25m after over a year of not swimming.

Insertfunnyname · 20/02/2021 11:57

skiing

Bagelsandbrie · 20/02/2021 11:57

Swimming. Holidays!

pursuedbyablackdog · 20/02/2021 12:02

Going to the cinema. Going for a long walk and pub lunch (walking without a pub at the end just isn't the same!)
Seeing family who have similar age dc. And I'm really hoping the choir / singing restrictions lift as dc have missed that the most.

TheAuthorityofJackieWeaver · 20/02/2021 12:23

Definitely swimming also. It’s such an important life skill, and I don’t know if either of the children will have retained their ability.

The aquarium - DS (4) said to me last weekend “if we ever get to go to an aquarium and see a fish again I will cry tears of happiness!”

Synagogue, for a family service. I love them. Would love to sit with my family for Pesach also.

Coasterfan · 20/02/2021 12:25

Theme parks!! It’s all we do in the theme park season I can’t wait I am hoping alton towers can open as planned on 20th March but I am also realistic in thinking it might be after Easter!

HairyFloppins · 20/02/2021 12:27

Themeparks and weekend breaks. Had to cancel our USA trip last summer. Looks the same for this year unfortunately.

Bluewavescrashing · 20/02/2021 12:27

Are you my daughter?
DrMadelineMaxwell · 20/02/2021 17:59

Mine are teens. I'm looking forward to taking DD to her ice skating hobby (completely on hold as they ripped up the rink and made the local leisure centre into a Rainbow hospital - Mum was vaccinated right in the middle of where d used to skate) - she misses it horribly.

And mooching in and out of shops and sitting down in frankie and bennies or similar for a break in the shopping day without worrying about many many restrictions.

And going with them to the cinema and theatre.
