Those of you "clinically extremely vulnerable" vaccinated yet?

Hi DH is clinically extremely vulnerable so we're expecting his vaccine appointment this month according to gov announcements.
It seems everyone has had theirs including my Dad (72) my mate and neighbor, etc,

We haven't heard anything yet! Should we be worried? Letter could have got lost in the post we'd have no idea.

Yes, two weeks ago now.

Stretchandsnap · 06/02/2021 09:07

My brother is and his jab last week

catatecheese · 06/02/2021 09:16

yes beginning of January. But I also have continued to work throughout so needed it.

WoWsers16 · 06/02/2021 09:18

I have mine today - my doctors rang me on Wednesday then I received a letter from the government yesterday saying to book. X they booked me my first and second dose date x

EspressoExpresso · 06/02/2021 09:19

I'm CEV (group 4) but also critical health and social care worker (group 2) when I'm actually allowed to work 🙄I had my first one a couple of weeks ago on the basis of my job rather than health, so they must be a bit behind schedule here

Bagelsandbrie · 06/02/2021 09:20

I am cev and booked mine through the link. Still haven’t been contacted or received any letter. I had my first vaccine earlier this week.

Didkdt · 06/02/2021 09:21

Email your GP practice I’m having mine today, I’d been held off the list until my consultant gave it the ok but then when he did no one had slotted me back on a quick email and it was sorted, I only realised because I went to book online and it said I had missed my allocated appointment so I emailed in and was told they’d made appointments for everyone but some had been taken out to check if it was safe for a variety of reasons and were supposed to be added back in if approved

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 06/02/2021 09:22

Yep. Group 4 here, had mine this week.

whattimeisitmrswolf · 06/02/2021 09:27

My DH is currently at one of the mass vacc sites, he's CEV and booked via the link PPs have posted. He's not received a letter yet for a local appt but his NHS number allowed him to book an hours drive away.

mummabubs · 06/02/2021 09:35

My mum is 60 and CEV, been told she's getting her first vaccine on Wednesday 😊

ImAbsolutelyTwatted · 06/02/2021 09:51

I'm booked in for Monday! Got the call yesterday afternoon from GP and took the first appointment. Also booked in for 2nd dose.

I'm central Scotland so had to wait to be contacted to book an appointment rather than go through the link on the nhs website.

Gcnq · 06/02/2021 13:13

Thanks for your replies all very useful

I used that booking site linked above.
Tried it on 28th January and it didn't work.
Then on 29th January someone on here said it had opened up to CEV and I tried again, it worked. I got appointment the following day.
Still heard nothing from GP. My letter arrived today - dated 29th Jan.

QueenPawPaws · 06/02/2021 13:50

Had mine this morning

Gcnq · 06/02/2021 13:50

He is assessed as CEV by the head liver consultant at Bart's. The NHS are in frequent contact with him by phone/post so that info is all correct.

It sounds like he should be expecting the appointment soon, we have actually just received a letter from the NHS this minute, I don't open his post and he's out untill this evening....

I had mine last Weds. I booked it (and the second dose in April) through the NHS link the day before. While I was at the appointment, my letter arrived and the GPs phoned too.

Zoomies06 · 06/02/2021 14:46

I am CEV and having it done at our village surgery next week. To be fair they have really cracked on .We are a rural area so there a few hubs but gp's are doing it too.

Mumski45 · 06/02/2021 14:51

Looks promising @Gcnq

Passthewinebottle · 06/02/2021 14:52

DH had his over a week ago, although his GO told him mid-end of Feb! Hope it comes soon x

AlwaysLatte · 06/02/2021 14:55

My Dad is 79 with copd and heart failure and is only just getting his first jab on Monday :-(

Toddlerteaplease · 06/02/2021 15:02

Got mine on NYE. I'm a nurse on a non conus ward. My friend who is vulnerable has not been offered hers yet.

Lostinspace23 · 06/02/2021 15:05

60 year old step dad who is CEV is having his next week. My dad (67) who is CEV had his yesterday. Nearer where I live FIL and MIL both early 70s only just getting letters now (and MIL dawdling over booking in Angry ) so seems to be moving at different paces in different regions.

JuliesIpad · 06/02/2021 15:05

Yes that lookslike the letter. It will tell you to go to the link posted above to book. My letter came a week after I had my vax.
These are from a national central register of CEV and direct you to either the mass vax centres or smaller ones. Not your GP or GP hub, they are all calling people in by phone, much slower in many cases.

TheHobbitMum · 06/02/2021 15:08

I hadine this morning along with other local CEV family & friends. The GP text me with a link during the week to book appointments. There is a link on previous threads which takes you to the page for those in group 4 to book now, it will only let those who belong in the 1st groups book appointments, have a search see of you can find it on previous threads?
