A wedding Confused

FreeButtonBee · 26/01/2021 16:06

Majorca in May; was supposed to be last May half term and we moved it to this May in June last year "Surely it will be okay by then..." Hmmm

rookiemere · 26/01/2021 16:07

@IncludeWomenInTheSequel - ditto was hoping Christmas could happen at Easter, now I strongly doubt our 3 household shared UK family holiday which has been rescheduled twice already will take place in July.
Ditto Duran Duran concert in Dublin in June, ditto Majorca holiday last week of August rescheduled from 2020.
At least we should manage Christmas dinner with my DPs by Easter as their second vaccine will have taken effect by then.

Pomegranatespompom · 26/01/2021 16:08

USA trip at Easter 🙁 ready postponed twice.

movingonup20 · 26/01/2021 16:08

Dd is meant to be going to the USA on a course for 6 weeks in June, we have reservations for a trip in September involving over 1000 people

rookiemere · 26/01/2021 16:09

But actually the only one that actually upsets me is that DSs two week school run outward bound trip in May is highly likely to be cancelled.
He's an only DC and was looking forward to it so much Sad.

AmelieTaylor · 26/01/2021 16:11

@IncludeWomenInTheSequel

You've just reminded me, we're supposed to be having Eastermas. Not sure that'll be happening 🤷🏻‍♀️

TheRuleofStix · 26/01/2021 16:14

@Robbybobtail we could go away last summer but not in huge groups. I think it was max two families together? So any Scott camps, huge get togethers etc weren’t allowed.

DaphneBridgerton · 26/01/2021 16:15

I am secretly hoping for a very low key " baby shower " before my baby comes in May... even if it's me and my three friends in the garden

redsquirrelfan · 26/01/2021 16:37

Concert that was supposed to be 17th March last year, then 17th March this year, and is now November. We will see.

amgine · 26/01/2021 16:40

Our summer holiday. I know its not going to happen.

Also, the ironing. That’s not happening until the kids are definitely going back to school. Ignored it for the whole of lockdown 1 too - they outgrew the clothes and I didn’t have to iron them in the end!

babyyodaxmas · 26/01/2021 16:46

We've just bought tickets for Canada for Dec 2021.....

jay55 · 26/01/2021 16:48

Hairspray tickets for April. Already rebooked twice.

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 26/01/2021 16:48

Disneyland Paris in July

CoodleMoodle · 26/01/2021 16:51

DD technically has an INSET day the day after her birthday, which is rare! She wants to go to Chessington or Legoland... Her birthday is mid March, so it's extremely unlikely, but some tiny, stupidly optimistic part of me is keeping my fingers crossed. Not often she has a day off right next to her birthday.

Needcoffeecoffeecoffee · 26/01/2021 16:54

Festival in the summer. Sad

LadyCatStark · 26/01/2021 16:56

Turkey in October half term. But depressingly, this thread have made me realise that I have no other plans, absolutely nothing, nada for the entire year ahead...

Deliaskis · 26/01/2021 17:00

Well I have two holidays that are just transferred by 12 months from last year (Devon SC at Easter and Greece end of May), neither of which are likely to happy, but I can't cancel until there is a specific rule or advice that says we can't go. I assume with both I'll just move them to 2022 and book something else in the UK later in the year for this summer.

So in my head, they're pretty much cancelled, but technically they're not because I have to wait for the whole process to start for that, nearer the time I guess.

Hollyhead · 26/01/2021 17:10

I've got a London hotel booked for a weekend at the beginning of April. It's transferable but I am sort of hoping things might have opened up enough by then for us to go. Even if we do walking tours.

tigerbear · 26/01/2021 17:13

My wedding in August (was supposed to be last summer, then rescheduled to May, now booked for August).
I haven’t even sent out the invitations, and not a clue whether I should or not :-(

Gson · 26/01/2021 17:14

Paris in March

Trying81 · 26/01/2021 17:18

Las Vegas in May for my 40th, suite booked, flying back upper class

Can’t face cancelling it, although I know it won’t be happening Sad

Bakedbeanhead · 26/01/2021 17:19

Spain at end of August. New York in June, both have been moved once already.😫

WhatKatyDidNxt · 26/01/2021 17:32

@StressedTired same Hmm. Tempted to just proceed anyway abroad, l am sick of waiting. Before we know it then we will have been trying for 3 years

AllMyPrettyOnes · 26/01/2021 17:33

Concert in London in October
