@StepOutOfLine

I have reported your vicious post, totally unwarranted and unjustified nastiness
And I've reported yours for ageism.

claptrapflapjack · 22/01/2021 15:01

I genuinely don't see what I have said that is ageist

Other posters have queried whether cruises in May is a wise idea. I haven't said anything different and certainly nothing worse

Pundemmic · 22/01/2021 15:01

Definitely the £500.

MarshaBradyo · 22/01/2021 15:04

Nothing much

Vaccine update
Stay home

Splodgetastic · 22/01/2021 15:04

I would really like Boris to say that they will change the guidance to say we can have exercise outside more than once a day. Boris, are you reading this? Smile

claptrapflapjack · 22/01/2021 15:05

@BoreOfWhabylon

You can't just throw around profoundly insulting name-calling like that

claptrapflapjack · 22/01/2021 15:06

I don't think name-calling is allowed on Mumsnet, so I suggest Bore and Step re-read the guidelines

whenwillthemadnessend · 22/01/2021 15:07

When Boris appears it's always to deliver good news. The small bad news he delegates. Or to deliver really bad news. I think as the r rate as now gone under one he wants to deliver good news At least a bit more positive

Sunnydaysarethebestdays · 22/01/2021 15:09

Surly they won’t be stupid enough to pay £500 to isolate.
It will make the situation even worse... people will go out to catch covid to get 500 quid!!

DarlingCoffee · 22/01/2021 15:10

I wish he would spend some time to talk about what - if anything - the government are doing to make schools safer for when the time comes for children to return.

whenwillthemadnessend · 22/01/2021 15:22

Agree dating coffee!!

frasersmummy · 22/01/2021 15:43

@claptrapflapjack if you think Bojo is too much.. Take a look at nicola sturgeon.. An hour every day.. And it always includes a lecture... Drives you mental!!!

Malbecky · 22/01/2021 17:05

What a great start! Confused

RoseAndRose · 22/01/2021 17:06

Slightly higher mortality - great

Case numbers dropping but still way, way too high

Deep joy

RoseAndRose · 22/01/2021 17:13

And some concern about vaccine escape for the other two variants - but far from known and being studied

Very pessimistic

Frenchdressing · 22/01/2021 17:14

Ugh FFS. When will this end????

GirlCrush · 22/01/2021 17:15

higher mortality may be due to new variant?

not christmas deaths we are seeing then?

squishedblueberry · 22/01/2021 17:33

I don’t understand when he said that there’s no evidence of higher mortality rate in hospital patients with the new variant but that the new variant is showing a slightly higher mortality rate. Does that mean more people getting it at home and not being hospitalised are dying from it? Am I being dense?

MarshaBradyo · 22/01/2021 17:34

I didn’t get that at all

But I only partly heard first part

squishedblueberry · 22/01/2021 17:42

Maybe I need to rewatch, I probably misunderstood. It was when Vallance was explaining it so maybe I misheard

MarshaBradyo · 22/01/2021 17:43

Actually my post was a bit easy to misread

I meant that I was wondering too as I couldn’t follow what they meant

So I agree with you, maybe it’s care homes? But they used 60 year old

googlepoodle · 22/01/2021 17:50

Well didn't expect that!

squishedblueberry · 22/01/2021 17:52

Ah I see glad it wasn’t just me @MarshaBradyo yes I wondered that m. The 60+ bracket was quite specific

TheKeatingFive · 22/01/2021 17:55

Total fudge

StealthPolarBear · 22/01/2021 17:55

I think the 60s thing was just an example, they'll have similar stats but prob slightly different for other ages and for women
