Why are the roads still busy on a Saturday night?

It's a rhetorical question because the answer is obviously that too many people are still household mixing.

Back in the Spring there was barely a car on the road.

I live rurally in a forest and my house is directly opposite one of the parking areas. Its heaving, I mean literally heaving. Its busier now than a usual summer. Both sides of the entrance to the parking area and bumper to bumper with cars, cars are parked on the road.

There is nothing else to do. All leisure facilities are closed, people shouldn't be seeing family or visiting others, no pubs, no restaurants. What else can people do, other than fester inside their houses?

Yes people shouldn't be hugging or having massive social events, but other than that they should just be able to crack on.

Delivery vans can still be doing their rounds late into the evening. I had a delivery of frozen dog food at 21.20 last night
